A Thatcher period would save France. Imagine the economic boost if taxes were reduced to 27% of GDP from 57%. Imagine the freedom the French would enjoy with the trade unions kneecapped a devoid of their power.
Thatcher is the worse thing to happen to Britain. “There is no such thing as society” has come to pass finally as society has collapsed in Britain finally.
Plus Thatchers “Right to Buy” policy without replacing discounted sold social housing has contributed massively to property price inflation and made it practically impossible for young people to buy a property.
@@drysia26 tho those right to buy properties or the value made out of selling them are now being handed down to their sons and daughters as that generation dies out. As has happened with me, my brother and sister. Same as it will be handed down when we pass on.
From an American perspective. France desperately needs reform and especially retirement reform since it's unsustainable to have 1.8 people supporting every pensioner. The French seem to have impossible demands. Personally Macron is repulsive to me but I still supported his reform. Are the French unable to separate their feelings and just use cold judgement with politicians? I guess we are all the same then lol.
In conclusion, the Daily Mail reports that in the past 2 months of 2023 alone, American technology companies have laid off a total of 148,165 employees.
Democracy for oligark not for all people that's what macrons want in first he try like testing the water before make the great policy. Please dont give slack, We believe the people power still working, now look how the people power work in china this make stop the policy zero covid of xi jin ping. U are just enough go to way say "reject the policy macron" and back to ur home. We are want u fight with police france, if the people tiongkok succeed why not in france
This seems to sum up the French malaise Ms Moutet, a conservative journalist clearly sees the need for reform on the specific matter but would much prefer to see the humiliation of Mr Macron who she dislikes because of his arrogance and lack of ideology. The future is Marine Le Pen and a run in with the financial markets!
Yes the conservatives that Moutet supports have wanted to increase the pension age for years and years, but when it came to vote for it they wouldn't commit because it would give a "win" to Macron.
SURVIVAL OF THE AMERICAN PROJECT ‘URAINE’ IS WELL PAID. The British newspaper the Daily Mail reported that America had not seen such a shock wave of mass layoffs since the Great Depression. According to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, in January and February 2023, the number of layoffs in US companies increased by 427% compared to the same period last year. The growth of mass layoffs of American workers also accelerated, helped by the tense situation in the American banking industry.
SURVIVAL OF THE AMERICAN PROJECT ‘URAINE’ IS WELL PAID. Two months ago, CHIPPER CASH laid off 12.5% of its workforce. However, this measure did not improve the position of the company. Now Chipper Cash has reported 3 months of wage arrears to the remaining employees.
This is great journalism. Thanks
No it is not. This is dismal
I learnt so much from this. Mme Moutet is an outstanding communicator and I wish it were she doing the US reporting for the DT.
I think France is in a much better position than the UK at this moment. 😅 we are the sick country of Europe.
C'est faux ont est géré pas des grosses merdes
Anne Elisabeth est Merveilleuse .
France is in trouble as is. She CAN NOt afford a Marget Tatcher period...

It wasn't just Thatcher. It was her and Reagan's belief in trickle down theory and global neoliberalism..

Merci Dieu, he's not
French problems seem exactly the same as in the UK
They are worse..it's just that the UK MSM have not reported what is actually going on in the EU....positive stories only

"Weak and arrogant Macron will never be France's Margaret Thatcher" Lucky France.
No he is more like France's George Osborne!! Very naff.
Nobody wants Margaret Thatcher back.

I sure hope Macron isn't going to become Thatcher. One thatcher was one too many.

She wants to be careful, he'll be after her phone number...
