- The F/A-18 Hornet is one of the best multirole fighters and it's supercarrier capabilities means it can deploy virtually anywhere in the world. This mission is a enjoyable flight to practice formation and air to air with the Hornet's AIM7 Sparrow and using free falling ordinance (Mk-84) for an air strike. This mission feels so real and does a great job at feeling like you're on a real in country assignment.
I can't believe how far DCS World has gone to giving such an awesome flight simulator experience.

The same mission is included with the Hornet by default, but it cuts right to the action, starting right before the engagement with the MiG-21s. It's called 'Ode to Mongo'. Nicely flown.

You were right Y&B, this was very well made (and flown). Wags is The Master. There are some new missions coming from the usual suspects and they look intense. These professional made missions are really the only ones I fly anymore. I just get so disappointed at 90% of user made missions. They're either too boring, too easy or too hard. I flew one last week that was 550 miles to target. I had to tank twice and there was no opposition. Just fly, tank, drop, fly, tank and land. The SAM he chose was zero threat because of it's placement and range limit. Thank God we have the ability to accelerate time. It still took an hour and was good practice, but it didn't get the blood pumping, didn't make me worry, didn't scare me at all.
I agree! We have to appreciate the ones that do a great job making solid missions. It's getting hard to find new missions. I'm hoping the F15E strike Eagle comes soon
