The Process
----------------------
We'll start by brainstorming ideas for a name for our brand and coming up with an original design concept. Then, we'll discuss how to choose a font that fits with our theme. Next, we get into creating custom icons in Illustrator, using some clever design techniques. I'll show you how to come up with multiple vector logo designs so you can have some different options to choose from, and they'll each use different illustration techniques.
After we've settled on a logo design to use, we'll move over to Adobe Photoshop CC 2023, and we'll talk about color theory and how to choose colors for the design. Next is a short typography tutorial to show you how to pick fonts that pair well together. We'll then do some font warping to create a unique packaging design layout. And to wrap up the basic design layout, we'll make a custom photoshop illustration with a grainy shadow effect.
Next, it's time to create a professional design presentation that could even be used in an online design portfolio. We'll source some stock images, and I'll show you how to do some photoshop photo manipulation. We'll add in some custom digital lighting and digitally paint shadows into our scene.
The end result is a modern brand and amazing package design that I hope you'll learn a lot from. Always enjoy sharing my full graphic design process with all of you guys!

As a programmer, I find artists like him very impressive. My technical brain could never come up with such unique designs.
I tried programming from college before, i suck at it, ended up with a multimedia arts, i find it more enjoyable than coding

People like you are worth more than gold. Your style and your creativity and how you put the product in the center of attention, is just incredibly well thought and genius!
I know that I'm a little too into packaging but I personally think that packaging is the most important part of a product. If the customer doesn't know the product exists and just wants to look around, the packaging needs to catch the eyes of the customer in order to make them fall in love with it and lastly make them buy it.
"I'm just going to do some color correction" - changes font, gets the milk to appear in front of the bottles... hahahahaha
Sometimes I get carried away on the "final" touches lol

Really good demonstration. But I wish you would have explained a few more things, like what blending mode you chose for the reflection. Also how you made the milk appear 3D in the end. Just a suggestion :) great video.

I like your design, but I think because the splash is white and the background is blue, and vanilla is more of a base flavour than chocolate or strawberry, I think it may work better with the vanilla milk in the front and the chocolate and strawberry ones at the side, possible with some shading of the background to brown and pink for then, and maybe a brown splash coming from the left and a pink slash coming from the right.

This is mint, but in my opinion, the blue colour really makes it just feel like regular milk. I think if it was changed from blue to a dark brown, it would reflect the vanilla theme better since vanilla beans are a brownish colour

How would you transpose these elements to a vectorised packaging design? I wonder also how you recreate the shading effect on the ears into illustrator as well? I really like your designs but your workflow is totally different to mine. Sure I do my concept work the same but a lot of the stuff done in photoshop I feel cannot always be recreated in illustrator. If you could do a video of your concept stage (like the above) but move it into the illustrator page to actually design vectorised artworks ready for print, that would be great!!

Love the tutorial, but as a photoshop beginner, I'd love it if (like with recipe vids), while editing the video you could insert the shortcuts/hotkeys used e.g. while taking apart the fonta

Amazing work, I would consider using a pastel blue instead of that dark one since you already have a light yellow and light pink colors on the other bottles. I feel the vanilla bottle stands out too much otherwise.

The vanilla one looks too much like regular milk, because of the blue. Pastel color might help that as well

Wow, that looks awesome! Thank you for sharing your thought process and why you are making certain decisions. This was one of the most helpful tutorials I've seen and will help me become a more thoughtful designer myself. It was a little fast to follow along. I think a worksheet would be helpful for beginners like me who would like to give it a try. I like to walk through the exercise to practice using all the tools in adobe.

Imo, you do such an amazing job with lighting in general, so I thought it was a bit strange how you didn't seem to incorporate that to that bottom portion of the bottles, which ended up a bit flat. P.s love your design, I’ve worked in packaging design for about 10 years in a food company which specialises in dairy so I’ve seen some nice designs and you definitely would have smashed a presentation with my company with that design :)

I found this video trying to find things to fill my portfolio, this video was really fun and great
I'll soon need to decide which career I'll be following, and I'm pretty invested in Design... I just vibe so much with it. I also have other careers that I might choose but I just think design sounds more like something I'd enjoy doing.
