Can you help me with something. My car have ZF6HP28 tranns. I was have message before for low pressure. What i did is change the oil, filter and tubes between valvebody and trans. But i have one problem which never go away. When i drive normal, car increase speed shift gear on 1500rpm and always try to go on higher gear and keep the rpm on 1000-1100 and here is the problem. When that happen i hear some grinding noise its like ops low speed but higher gear. Specially if am againts of low uphill then you can notice easy. Also the rpm playing with 100-200 when i try to keep steady speed, when start accelerate ita almost gone that shake. Also that noise is out when the car have 1300 rpm and over. Where is the problem?? Solenoids??

You know what you speak of. Very good descriptions.
My transmission slips sometimes on 1st and 2nd, then mostly works with no issues at all. I get a P0700 code. I think is either my TCM or a shift solenoid.
Thank you for the question. I have answered your question here: ruclips.net/video/tkfHHGVf2rE/видео.html
Always make sure you fill your transmission fluid up to the right amount!! I figured out the reason why my trucks transmission had a little bit of slip every now and then (on the highway at acceleration) I added a bit much transmission fluid accidentally. Always making sure I have it up to right amount now. It happens
yaaa last month i added 4 quarts of new transmission fluid on my prelude & flushed out the old. Then later on when i came to a stop light my car wouldn’t wanna move forward at all, soi hit the gas pedal & i heard a clunky noise. soon i took out a quart of trans fluid with an extractor and just left 3 quarts inside my tranny
How do you normally check the AT fluid level? I usually drive a few miles until the fluid is warm, then check the dipstick while the shifter is in park position and the motor is still running. BTW, I'm a Fender guitar player myself.
@@U2BER2012 you can just let your vehicle run until it’s warm for 15 mins then check the dipstick. Only way to check your transmission fluid is by looking at the dipstick
@@U2BER2012 obviously while it’s in park if it isn’t it’ll roll on you being out of the vehicle obviously
@@U2BER2012 you can check if it’s not running all your doing is just simply looking at the level on the dipstick

Great video great channel the last module you showed was a PCM in a GM car the computer module right next to the accumulator and the low pressure switch great explanation great video and details awesome video keep up the good work
THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO AND MAKING IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND
A fluid, filter change along with a flush out does more good than most people know... Most transmissions will have the exact same filter that was in it when the car was bought as not many will follow up on the trans service recommendations.
I want to add that I’ve heared from several ppl that you can only change the filter if the tranny is under 60,000 miles
Almost every manufacture is advertising maintenance free lifetime fluid transmission so average joe has no idea.

Well, wouldn't u know it.... My transmission is starting to slip.
Dragging into drive and reverse when it's cold. After it warms up it's fine.
I tossed a bottle of Lucas in her about a month ago and it stopped.
But it's starting again, so the writing is on the wall.
I naturally tried changing the fluid, filter and solenoids and the filter that it had, I promise was the same one put in at the factory. And I should have had it changed when I bought the car if I'm being honest.
New transmission for it runs between $2000 and $3500.
$900-$1000 for a used one.
🤣 I don't need this 💩 in my life ya know? 😁
But since we have a backup vehicle, if I'm gonna spring for a transmission, it's gonna be a performance upgraded one. 👍
Moral of the story is... Keep the fluid and filters changed regularly, especially if the car is high mileage.
Thank you for being clear and comprehensive.
Thanks you did a great job explaining and pointing out possible issues that could be causing my transmission not to engage at times

Good vid.
My parents have an old mini van that’s been staying in the garage for half a year. Its rpm takes a while before going up, it does run but it also takes a few minutes to go to next gear, so on the road you’d be running like 20-30kms for a while even tho there’s no car in front of you.

Manual transmission way to go when you have a automatic transmission you have to make sure it’s perfect at all time. Mine slipped on my older truck I’m lucky I got it to work perfectly when next changed fluid it requires just a drain and refill/change filters.
I rebuilt the whole transmission system when I did the freshen up on the truck when it hit 252k miles
Basically your transmission is going
That was a lot of help now I know what’s wrong with my transmission

Just a quick question what happens if you change your transmission oil but don't change out the filter
My transmission only slips on the 3rd to 4th gear change when the transmission is cold, one time, it can't be replicated again after slipping once when cold. After that the trans is perfectly fine. What does that mean? It's a 6t40 transmission if it helps anything.
Thanks.

Advice requested. I recently bought a 2014 Honda Fit/Jazz. It only has 12000 miles on the clock but is of course nine years old. The transmission oil has never been changed. The Honda dealer says that it is not necessary. I think the oil should changed. I would appreciate your thoughts. Many thanks.
Great video. Thanks.
I have a 2004 Toyota Rav4 Automatic transmission with 130000 miles on it.
I have delayed shifting problems and acceleration won't go past 60km/hr.
I have had ECM repaired and reprogrammed. I have replaced transmission. I have replaced clutch plates, filter, OEM transmission fluid and even valve body on the replacement transmission. I have done all these but I'm still experiencing transmission shifting issues. What again should I do?
Ooh. Do you have any check engine lights on? If not then I'd look into some airflow and fuel flow issues. Plus the throttle position sensor/throttle body. If all this isn't being reported properly to the ECM then all the calculations could be contaminated with incorrect data. And it may not know the data is incorrect. Look into some of the symptoms of those problems and see if they sound like what you're experiencing
Thank you so much for the great video.. you explained very well......

I would like to correct a misconception that people always ask. A service will not fix a slipping Transmission. If your Transmission is generating enough clutch material to plug a filter you have some serious damage in there.
I didn’t want to read this lol but the truth hurts
Now you tell me lol. Got my car serviced hoping they'd sort the transmission but they didn't

Very informative video,
Please mentioned how many Litres usually used in Ford Endeavour 5 gear Automatic transmission 2010 model.
I was debating on wether it is a TPS issue or a shift Solenoid issue but the last time i drained the oil it smelled burned. I changed the oil but not the filter. Now I am thinking it might just be the clogged filter. I will do the TPS first then I will change the transmission filter and I will do the solenoids since that part will already be open.
Does this also happen when you’re car gets hot? I was driving my car for a while and sending it a bit and suddenly it was acting funny , maybe it just wanted to soar some more but idk 🤷🏽♂️
this is exactly my problem. i have a 2015 buick regal turbo and after driving at 80 on the highway for an hour it said “engine power reduced”, and went away after a day.
So bubbles in my fluid means cavitation? I noticed my transmission slips for a second or 2 after it’s been siting for a day or so. Seems to shift fine while driving.
It very well could be. Now when you drain the transmission fluid it can cause bubbles, but if there's thousands of bubbles mixed throughout the fluid then it's cavitation.
@@Nthefastlane my transmission dipstick has a plastic "bulb" on the end, with a crosshatched area, and in the middle of that area it has a "min" and "max" level, my car has what appears to be fluid above the "max" level but not above the crosshatched area top line.... am i safe? i don't believe there's a drain hole, and the car seems to run perfectly, except today i thought i noticed it slipping, although it could have just downshifted and then upshifted, as i wasn't paying much attention, and it only did it once, and the car didn't jerk or lose momentum... but there was something strange about it.. i should say that the fluid is a clear-ish pink and doesn't have a particular smell to it... definitely not a burnt smell..
@@tirkentube I would drain it immediately. The air pressure can not release and like a balloon eventually blow up. Meanwhile the fluid is not getting the right pressure and cannot coat all the parts inside
If it always happens after sitting a while - it could be that your transmission was OVERHEATED - causing the Rubber O-ring seals to go hard. Once the fluid warms up - it softens the seals - and they seal properly. Again - not Vehicle or tans info. If it is hardened seals - eventually it will delay going into gear on a cold morning and there is NO solution other than a rebuild for this
What if the slipping only happened when the car is driving for about 15mins, and when the engine temperature reached 200F?
same with rn.. did u fixed it?

Hi. Thanks a lot for the very informative video.
I have a HONDA CRV 2005. It drives really well. However, when I am driving and lower the speed below (20) in traffic for example, and then try to accelerate the vehicle jumps a little bit. It does not do that when driving normally and not decreasing the speed. My question is what shall I do to fix this? Thanks a lot.
did you get this fixed?
I have quite a bit of beef with my local Walmart auto care center right now I just paid them to do an engine oil and filter change and transmission fluid change, and they supposedly did all that but told me that they do not flush old transmission fluid. Well today on my way to work my transmission started slipping and got to the point where it would not accelerate at all and I was at a dead stop. But when I would shut the car off and let it sit for a minute and then start it back up, the car would drive and even accelerate for a few seconds and I could get maybe a couple hundred feet down the road before it starts slipping again and the longer I let it sit before turning it back on, the longer it would make it down the road before it would slip again. I checked the transmission fluid on the dipstick while the car was on and at full operating temperature like I'm supposed to, and it shows that it was way overfilled. So I'm wondering if it's having that foaming problem and that's causing it to slip, and is why it will start working again after it has been shut off for a couple minutes like maybe the foam settle down but once it Formed back up it would slip again.
May i know your work shop post code please so i can bring my car if you were near me
When I'm in a low rate of speed and trying to go a little faster it starts to hesitate a little bit almost like a sputter after checking transmission fluid level is good I noticed very small shavings at the bottom of the dipstick what would you recommend I do I had the transmission rebuilt about a year-and-a-half ago?
Thanks for the tips and clear explanation for slipping transmission
My 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis is pulling back when I ease off the gas pedal when trying to coast. I forgot to change the transmission filter.
Think u cover all probable causes mines was the VSS plug wire burnt worn plug and the sensor had a discolored pin which gave it
Out of sequence changing loss the speedometer and like it was in neutral reconfirm 2nd to third replace wow it works great again under code it shows TCC solenoid it was the VSS case closed
What if my 05 Mercury Grand Marquis only slips after shifting out of park into drive and jerks, but after it drives pretty good. It just does it at stops.

I have a Peugeot 107 urban 1 litre twintronic automatic car. I've noticed that when I'm about to move off at times I press the acceleration pedal and it just revs, I put it back in neutral and then back in gear and sometimes this works. Or I have to turn the engine off and restart it and this fixes it most times. Any ideas what it could be 🤔?
I have a 4l60e... She slips from 1-2 ... It will rev up. I let off the throttle and eventually she engages into 2 and so on. Do you believe its just low on fluid? I checked the dip stick and its definitely bad fluid... I plan on changing the fluid with a new filter. A veteran mechanic suggested to save the old fluid...when adding new fluid add half new and half old... Doing this 2 or 3 times 6months apart will help the transmission accept the new fluid.
No mention of a worn torque converter? I thought this was a common cause of slipping in high mileage vehicles?

Newer transmission fluid has strong cleaning additives that when replacing the old transmission fluid can strip the friction plates causing worse problems. Sometimes it's better to leave the old transmission fluid in there because it has less detergent. This applies to high mileage transmission where the transmission fluid wasn't maintenanced regularly.

This is sure to be Hardened seals and O-rings inside the transmission that do not seal when cold - but when the fluid finally gets hot -the Plastic (Normally Cyanoacrylic - they don't use rubber anymore) softens and will seal. Normally happens with Reverse first. Time for a Rebuild - sorry

@@kramyaj512 If you are going to rebuild an Automatic Transmission - that is not a process for the backyard mechanic - BUT - normally one buys a full rebuild kit - that includes the clutches. Could you get away with not replacing clutches if they appear good. Sure - but it makes no sense doing that - the difference in price is likely to be very little (THe Kit will be cheaper than the sum of its individual parts most of the time) and IF you are going to do it - there is really no labor difference. ANd in fact for that Backyard mechanic - buying a "factory" rebuild is probably the way to go. THere are few people who actually rebuild the Transmissions - as they get more and more complicated and electronically controlled. Also note - just because what I said was the MOST LIKELY reason for your problem does not mean that there are NO OTHER issues that would have to be addressed. Now if YOU are a Trained Transmission Mechanic - you really did not need my answer to this question as well. And if you are not - DON"T DO IT!
