    When my gym had a sign up for Murph, I simply wrote “Nope”on the board. What an idiot. Thanks Josh for reminding me why we are doing this. Even a 27 year USAF veteran, like myself, needs a back-to-basics kick in the xxx reminder. Keep up the good work hero.

    This put Murph into a better perspective. I get so caught up with my time proving how hard a tried. Tomorrow will be paying Murph, not the man and not the clock. Paying Murph. Side note, can we start a go fund me to get Mason’s tooth fixed?

    Just did my first Murph today. To put it in perspective I am a 55 year old man, spent 14 years in the military and have been a missionary in Costa Rica for the past 15 years. I can't do full pull-ups so I needed some assistance with the giant rubber bands. But I did do the push-ups and squats with the weighted vest. I did the run on an elliptical though, but like you said it is not about me but honoring those who committed the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Thank you for your service Josh. I remember watching your Murph in the cross fit games. Keep up the good work and God bless.

    "Its not about time, its about putting out". Thank you Josh for reminding us of that. I ran Murph on Sunday and had a goal time that I failed to meet and have been beating myself up. Appreciate your words to remind me that running the Murph is not about me. Needed that reminder to regain the right perspective. Thanks!

    Did it today...331 days after patella tendon surgery. Weighted, strick pull ups, outside, wanted to quit after the final round before the run.. figured I did "enough"... then I thought of murph and you in 16. Finished that last mile and the workout. I was hammered shit for 7 minutes... then I was fine. Salute

    I've been doing Crossfit since April 12th and I did Murph for the first time today. I absolutely loved it as well. RIP to all our fallen soldiers from the UK.

    My fourth time doing this, along with my youngest son. I don’t and never have set the clock, I know I am slow, but I am 60. I do wear my watch to track my heart rate so that I can keep a steady pace. My little sacrifice on Monday morning (Holiday) is really nothing in comparison to those that paid the price. An older cousin of mine died in Vietnam along with my friends older brother and so many more. It just makes more meaningful to think about those I know. A person truly dies when they are forgotten, we should never forget.

    I dig the humility and staying humble, Great content.
    I do Murph every year and I did it a little differently this year. I did all the squats with a 25lbs Wall Ball and deficit push ups because I wanted to make it uncomfortable to reset my mind and push through. I wanted it to make me think about those that can't get uncomfortable anymore because they paid the ultimate sacrifice. # FallenNotForgotten # POW # MIA

    Awesome video. I appreciate the reminders, Josh. It ain't about the time. It's about the man; Lt. Michael Murphy, and paying him in sweat. I'm about to head to the gym now to do Murph and this video is a little extra motivation to remember the real reasons why we do it.

    I admittedly have been training for doing Murph tomorrow. But, it’ll be my first real time doing it since my shoulder surgery. It’s important to me to do it, and give it my all. No records will be set. But I want to give my all.

      Then do your shoulders a big favour and don't do bs kipping pullups. Do them strict and actually benefit from your training. Ego lifting and time hunting is for idjits

    Did my first Murph this year. I haven’t pushed myself this hard since the last time I got smoked in boot camp 15 years ago. Felt good to embrace the suck again!

    I appreciated your perspective on Murph. On Memorial Day morning I did Murph by myself and thought about veterans and their sacrifices. My grandfather as well. Great way to start the day.

      Same here. I brought music, water, and a small American flag that I put up near my site. Whenever I heard that little voice of doubt (tiredness) start to sneak in, saying "Let's just do a half-Murph and call it a day...", I looked at that flag, reinforced with green duct tape, and thought of the implications of listening to that voice against what I and many other people had set out to do on this Memorial Day. I finished in under an hour, and was sore for three days afterward!

    49:50. I still feel it in my quads. I powerlift and my cousin got me to do the RX workout. Mistake. I have a powerlifting meet this Saturday and I'm praying that I get my legs back in time.

    I did murph for the first time, and I am no seasoned anything. I did it with all my effort and intention to push through, past my comfort, and holy hell it's grueling, but after an hour and 28 minutes I finished it. Woooweeee.

    Attempted for the first time yesterday... I did 1mi run, 50 KB swings, 100 push ups, 150 air squats, 1 mile. I am absolutely hurting today! Get good to get through the goal I set... next year I go for full Murph.

    Yet to do Murph this year, but do enjoy it every time, not done it yet as it's written think I will this time round
    Normally do... 5 pull ups, 10 push ups for 20 rounds and 20 squats for 15 rounds, this gives you 5 rounds with no squats to have fresher legs for the run

    I'm pumped! I did a 33.47 Murph "slick" with Aussie pull-ups. I can't wait to try with a vest.
    Michael Murphy set an example in my life, and without it, I would just be a useless fat couch potato. This time is because of him, not me.

    I am late to the trend, but I decided to accept the murph challenge. It might take me a while with it cut in quarters or half before I can do the full thing. It might take me a few hours. Doesn't matter. I'm going to finish strong and get through it no matter how long it takes.

    What’s up with the pull-ups? (Genuinely curious) Is that some type of technique that cross fit uses? I don’t see how that’s better for training than full range of motion.
