When you are in trades, you learn that most things are "easy" to do, you just gotta learn it from someone else, and then you're like "OH!! That's so easy!"
Which is why it's important every person keep passing down knowledge to the next person, younger & below you!

if you already had a set square or even a ruler you dont need soo much hardwork... just measure equal lengths and cut 45°... simple maths 😒

Some of you guys commenting really full of yourself.
"Oh this is common sense; oh my grandpa is carpenter; oh I knew this already". Oh I thought this was logical".
Well Duh! Not everyone knows this and life is a learning progress every day the clock tick. Everyone don't know everything! That's why most people watch educational videos and; do it yourself videos for further self development. Allow other to learn and stop being so arrogant and cocky. If you knew this why did you even watch graduate to a higher video. And let those who didn't know enjoy.

All who have it in the daily life respond with "that's nothing new".
It was not made for you.
It could have been done BY you, for all of the 32 million that watched it, for the purpose of spreading the Word of Carpentry among those who live by the keyboard.
I can't believe that it needs to be pointed at, but we are living in a life so sheltered we can develop different dialects, based on the different ways of life, and have the story of Babel repeated.

I'm probably embarrassing myself here, but how do you determine what the angle is? For example, I'm making a birdhouse and I want the roof of it to sit flush against the back wall of the plate the birdhouse attaches to. I THINK it's 25 degrees. Like in this video you draw the line, but how do you know what angle to set the saw blade at? Or do you just lay the wood on there and tilt the saw until it lines up with that angle? Surely there is a simple math problem to figure it out, right?
