My good man, I would like to take a moment to reflect on your total disregard for your own safety whilst using handheld tools, firstly never hold an item that you are about to drill in your hand. secondly use the correct size drill so that you do not have to ream the hole for your next piece in the project to fit, thirdly, ensure that your drill bit is sharp and does the job with ease, fourthly never use a hacksaw blade held in your hand, it actually has a frame to secure it in, fifthly never pull a hobby knife toward yourself when cutting objects you are holding in your other hand, it is a sure way to cut right into your tendons rendering your use of those appenditures useless.

It's an imaginative assemblage of various implements to get to a definite result, it;s an interesting proof of a concept, but what was the power source you held up there for a few seconds? it's obviously got a little bit of power behind it, but is that power unit some discarded unit you are making use of for this Mini-mini-welder? The photography was fine, but the presentation definitely needed some more instructions and descriptions of things. It could be followed well, but some captions would have been a help.

Between the hazmat, electrical, mechanical, and physical safety risks I don't even know where to start. I'm not going to write a manual on it here though. Risk vs rewards evaluation to me says $30 on Amazon or less direct from China is way cheaper than losing or losing the use of part or all of their hands.

Back in the 60s I used to use D cell rods upped the voltage and made carbon arc welders that packed a ton of heat/light. It can be used to weld but don't try it, one mistake could be your last. But many welders can bite you if you're not sure about what you're doing. It was the same principle as BLG has shown you here.

Ok here's some positive feedback that will be worth taking on board
We have been using the very same principle to rebuild damaged car/truck battery poles for years / an old French mechanic showed me . Clamp a piece of flat steel in the gap of a spare terminal / +ve or -ve whichever is required , hook a jumper lead to the battery's other terminal / do not do this with a hot battery , cover it with a wet rag , never had one explode in 40 years . I actually use an arc air gouging carbon now , however a Big Jim torch 6 v battery has 4 good sized carbon rods inside . Okay . wire brush what is left of the terminal , make sure you have a stick of 50/50 plumbers' solder on hand .Touch the carbon rod onto the damaged terminal and carefully melt the lead down to meet the mold - too hot and it will all run out under the mold , (yes I did that the first time) the carbon will heat very quickly so gently as you go, now use the red hot carbon rod to add the solder into the lead surface puddle and build to original height , let it cool and you're back in action . Wear safety glasses!!
    Cheers NC

    I'm in the U.S.
I'm still working on the LED light bulb fix. that surface containing the LEDs seems to be coated with a clear varnish. I broke one LED off trying to pierce the coating.
I'm going to experiment with tiny Dremel wire cup wheels.
I've been successful fixing these bulbs twice before, a couple of years back. I suspect the coating is there on newer LED bulbs to prevent these bulbs from being fixed.
One other thought I had is putting a small amount of 99% IPA in a jar lid so just the surface of the LED disk is being soaked in the alcohol. There's a way, there almost always is.
(I haven't tried the carbon rod spot welder, if I think of a use, I will.)
