Not sure if it will help or not, but to those who had issues with losing their buildings and world progression I feel you. I had the same thing happen to me when I was asking my friend to transfer the world files to me. I think what may have helped was me having my friend backup his world in game and then MAYBE changing the server to a local save instead of cloud. Then he compressed the file and sent it over to me. I made sure to delete the old world data that I had on my computer in game with the "delete" button as well as deleting the old world files on my computer before placing the new "Worlds_local" file onto my computer and it worked. I'm not tech savvy or anything, but hopefully this may help someone in the same boat.

Okay so it possible to get one of my world files into a different server host ? For example current server host slapped us with a test server cuz the other one had weird crashes they blamed valheim plus but we were running fine with 20 ppl for 2 weeks straight until they went to shit. But now I’m wondering would it be possible to get my world with all builds on it from current host and move it to a different host with full ftp access ?
You can only restore worlds if you backed them up in the first place lol. Thats the whole point. You cant restore something that doesnt have a backup that you deleted unless you have it autosaved somewhere else.@@valdemarfagernas9968
i played the game offline for 2 weeks because wifi went out and when my wifi came back on i went to log in and all my damn shit was gone 120hrs of fucking progress disappeared it set me bag to fucking bronze age
Should I do this daily? Like if I haven’t run into him in the day that I played I should make another copy of file? Or does that file have old progress and it won’t update as I play so I will get a setback?, does this make sense someone plz help
@@ellis2888 rough doo mate i only had my high levle bronze stuff but i was getting iron at the time so i will now have to get my bronze stuff to then get more iron
Yes, dedicatd servers are exactly the same. only difference is you dont have character folder since on a dedicated server you arent making any characters. you can even copy your personal world from your single player into the server world and run that on your server

There is no building after restore
you have to remember both files with the same name, the one file is the building the other one is the world itself

maybe replace the file in the worlds and don't make a another folder within the "worlds" folder, hope this might help.

Use console commands to spawn your stuff back in.

What’s wild that my cloud save is on auto, went to files to only see my character file. Hurts

My Valheim folder has worlds and worlds_local. Same for characters. I don't see that in the video. Should I be concerned about that?
