We're having SOOO much fun today with our Cathedral Window Quilt Block!
Because it's a gorgeous quilt block AND because we get to do it twice.
And, before the video is over, we'll do a pillow with these lovely blocks in the simplest possible way.
Don't forget to let me know which way to do them is your favorite, okay? I'd love to hear from you.
    Enjoy!
    Sandy

Thanks a million for sharing both there technique with us I love both the ways of making these quilted squares but the second one looks more lovely although there is a lot of material used. I am from India and love sewing and learning new techniques.

The first one is much simpler, that's for sure! hehe

You can do the first method with 2 less layer of fabric if you use an 8" (20 cm) square of muslin and follow the Folded Bow-tie method which is the essence of what you did.

Question, did you use 100% cotton for the white material or did you use muslin?

How do you join the blocks in version 1 and maintain the windows? Please show

hi! I pin them in place and then I sew the white round border over them to keep them there. I hope that helps. I will be doing a new cathedral window quilt block soon. Have a great weekend!

Very unclear, many steps not explained. Turned a very simple technique into something very complex.
