    Just want to say very nice video. I was able to follow along without any problems and you did a very nice job of explaining everything. I love the Licitti products. My gen 1 box goes with me everywhere every day in my truck. I have made several modifications to it to add a few options I wanted and it works great
    I want their 300 amh Cyberbox!

    Ha, I just did the same thing, except with a "compact" 300ah battery, had BT and a nice BMS. Saved money over separate cells and BMS. Plus it was already assembled, just pulled cells from battery box and slipped them into my Licitti.

      How do you charge your box? It seems to me that their bundled AC charger or solar will take forever and am trying to figure out if you can charge this box in a reasonable time off my generator if the grid goes down for days. Licitti offers a bundle with a 20amp AC to DC charger, but that seems slow from my limited understanding. I know they also offer a 30 amp charger for sale separately, but that seems kinda slow for this capacity battery as well. I have seen a LI-Time 40 AMP 14.6V AC to DC charger for $219 on Amazon. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have the box and just built the battery using 304 cells. I didn't have their kit so i just did my best using thin flexible cutting boards. I like their product. I've asked them to sell the 3000 watt box without including batteries. Hope they will do so. I also think they could come up with an integrated ac charger. They say it adds too much cost. All in all...my 304 build turned this into a beast ...of course it is heavy!

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  9 месяцев назад

      That's awesome. I'm going to suggest they come up with a wheeled base option. They are getting heavy with these large cells. Thanks!

    • @houstonstarbuck

      @BradCagle funny...I thought the same thing. I built my own box out of a wheeled tool box with 3000 watt inverter...in part to find a home for 4 relion 100 batteries I took out of my rv. Then they came out with their 3000 watt box which is way more professional than my build plus they have more functionality. They do listen to you and some of the other RUclips guys so you are helping them make their product offerings better. Thanks.

    The wires look the same as the wires in the Gen 1. I've used these and the 320 amp hour versions, and have the 320's in my gen 1. I'll be putting fiberboard in between mine. That said, the primary test was perfect and even the strap worked on the Gen1. I use a simpler BMS, it is not active and works fine with multiple versions of these batteries. I do not like the way you hooked up the BMS , as the method with the plug disconnected is safer for the BMS. Yes, way lower voltages. Interestingly, the kits I get from China (exactly what you have here, just repackaged, what you do is put the fiber board in between the cells (thats in the instructions. ) . The final product as you have done it (seems to be the way they want you to do it) has no ventilation at all ! At least one of the engineer's wanted you to have a ton of ventilation for the system with fans in the front and back with some versions. strange anomalies from what I'm seeing. That said, I really like this product.

    Your reviews are second to none Brad. Thanks mate.
    That Licitti Gen 2 battery box is almost 100% - one little (perhaps not so little) capability is to allow several of these to sync their mains so you could parallel the mains to have 2, 4, 6, 8 etc. kW depending on how many boxes you string together. I hope Licitti read this comment - they have a winner here.

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  9 месяцев назад +1

      @BenMitro Thanks, that means a lot! Yeah these guys are doing some good stuff, and I'm glad they are paying attention. Would be really cool if it could do that. Also I think they should have a base with wheels option, with these 280 cells it's getting heavy. Thanks!

    • @houstonstarbuck
      @houstonstarbuck 9 месяцев назад

      I am using their 50 amp input / output to tie two boxes together. I then use either inverter as needed. This seems to work as it discharges them at the same rate under my load conditions and charges both boxes back up via one solar input on one bax.

    • @BenMitro
      @BenMitro 9 месяцев назад

      @@houstonstarbuck That is the best approach with what they have now. With the syncing suggestion, you would be able to run 4kW load as well as 2 x 2kW loads. (You could still tie the two boxes via DC to use one solar input). I sure hope they look into this as the flexibility of their battery box will be extended substantially.

    Just got my 280AH cells and kit. My BMS is different from yours. They have restructure the B M S. The negative busbar is no longer next to the #2 negative wire but on opposite side on the BMS, upper corner. Therefore had to reverse the negative end panel so the markings are now on the inside of battery box. Had to mark this end panel manually to identify it as the negative end panel. The 5P wire is now attached to the BMS right next to the heavy #2 negative wire. Just below that are two separate temperature wires mounted. The B+ (red wire), the number 2 white wire, the B- wire (black wire), and the two temperature wires now all run straight down the cells making their respective connections. There is NO crisscrossing across the top of the cells. The number 1 and number 3 white wires run just above the top of the BMS then make a left turn to connect to their respective connections. This new layout makes for a very clean and orderly arrangement of wires atop of the battery cells. The other group of wires were already mounted to a small circuit board and given its own space to hang out down back end of the BMS. There were no new instructions given to reflect any of the changes of this new layout. It came with the old set of instructions. I did insert a sheet of battery insulation between the cells. I used Barley Paper with adhesive on one side. An Amazon purchase.

I am around the big solar farms all over the country hauling their batteries for them and only 2 will fit on my 53 foot semi. Licitti prismatic cell question from very new solar person: I have already assembled the 280 Ah prismatic battery kit using 4 cells from Licitti but not charged it yet.
    I have seen and read where prismatic cells will swell once charged.
    The busbars I connected were snug/tight.
    Can I remove the busbars to drill them wider so when they do expand, they will have some give/slack?

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  19 дней назад +1

      Well drilling wont help because they will be tightened down to the cell, so no expansion movement will be available. If you want the busbars to have some give, you'll just have to buy flexible ones, or the ones with the expansion hump. The other option is to build your own out of short lengths of wire, and wire lugs. Thanks

    This box really seems compelling for the price and an hour or two of my time. I am curious about charging times off of solar and the optional 20amp charger. My guess is that slow charging is the only knock on this setup. ReeWray Outdoors channel said it took him 15-16 hours to fully charge this kit from a 20 amp charger. I have seen a LI-TIme 40 amp 14.6V charger with a Anderson connector on Amazon for $219 that looks like it could charge this at maybe 7 hours or less. What do you think Brad? I am thinking about purchasing this box with the battery kit but could use your expert guidance about charging options, as my knowledge is very limited. I could not find any 50 AMP AC to DC chargers that didn't look sketchy.

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  4 месяца назад +2

      Yeah, for the price point I don't think there's anything else with this capacity (Short of full DIY) But I do agree it's slow at charging, especially the solar. Now you can just add a larger external MPPT, so that's an option. The Li-Time 40a AC charger could be a good option, just make sure the Neg/Pos pins on the Aderson connector are in the right place to mate up with the Licitti box polarity. They can be reversed based on how the manufacture decides to build it, but it's easy to swap the pins/contacts there's a spring retainer under each pin, just press it down and it can be pulled out the back. Thanks
