    This is the best tutorial I have seen for a self binding blanket. Thank you, ma'am, for taking the time out your day to teach us this.

      There are many on YT. See MSQC for Jenny Doan's version of magic turn baby blankets making.
      This video shows an entirely different way to do it. Its easir than all the others I've seen.

      Thereca couple that make the original magic turn blanket easy to make. MSQC's is very confusing, but there are other videos where its very clear and mist importantly you can cleatly how to do the cormers.
      Hiwever, this video makes it even easier.

  • @dianegagner7219

    Love this baby blanket but she never disclosed the measurement for the inside fabric. Looks like she cut the inside fabric to fit the bottom crease. That's where I cut and it seemed to go well.

    • @countrygal3688
      @countrygal3688 Месяц назад

      After she pressed the border all around, she said to cut the inner fabric just a little bit smaller, so it would fit inside the outer fabric, creased edge to edge. The blanket measured 36 inches square after the edges were pressed. So the inner fabric would be about 35 inches square.

      Since she measured the blanket after the edges were folded in and pressed, and it measured 36 inches square, the smaller inner fabric would cut at 35 or 35 1/2 inches square. Hope this helps.

      I am a newbie also. I plan to make mine all flannel & according to a vid I just watched earlier today for flannel baby blankets is it's best not to wash 1st as it would make the flannel look kind of used...you know take away that 1st crisp blush so to speak of new material & I agree with this.

    It would be helpful if you could note exact sizes of both fabrics.

      @@kathytincler2446 just now watching this video, and really there is no reason why you should not secure the corners, just do a straight stitch , it is what I will do because like you I do not want it to get caught on babies foot or something else and rip or aggravate the baby. Perhaps she just forgot that part? I am sure these videos are more than one take and sometimes with editing they cut out an important part without realizing it. I don't think answering the "spanish speaking" is intentional.
