    Been into this technique with my dw9000 with shoes for months.
    Great technique with like 80% technique and 20% muscle memory.
    Really like it!
    Great video! 🤘🏻

    For the especially dense (me), remember to make sure the beater swings back at the end of the downstroke, before the upstroke. Really focus on the feeling of it, and eventually you get a sort of swinging feeling with your feet, where you can progress forward.
    This technique is so cool and unique and actually really fun to mess around with, thank you for this tutorial!

    • @Martin_Bernard
      @Martin_Bernard 3 года назад +3

      Hard to keep the strokes even, it switches to a shuffle with a downstroke a lot more powerful than the upstroke, dunno how to fix it

      Hallo, habe gesehen, daß du Fußmaschinen mit Kettenantrieb und auch wie hier Direct Drive benutzt. Spiele selber 2 ältere Iron Cobra Roll Glide HP 900 R . Diese könnte man umrüsten auf Direct Drive. Wäre das eine Empfehlung oder lieber spezifische Fußmaschinen in Betracht ziehen? Habe z.B. auch die Axis Longboard versucht , aber bin immer wieder bei der Iron Cobra hängen geblieben, auch bei den neueren Modifikationen. Die alte tut es fast wie die neueren. Dachte an einen Umbau, um mehr Potential herauszuholen und auch um schnellere Anschläge zu erzielen. Danke für deine Meinung, wenn eine kommt. PS: Wäre mal schön ein Video von dir zu sehen, wo die Swivel Technik rüberkommt . Dank und Tschau.

    You are a legend sir. 🙏🙏🙏 I have a question that I hope you can help me with. Can I use the heel toe technique when playing two quick double strokes in a common standard groove? Take the bonham triplets for example. It’s tough for me to play it slower and also too fast. Basically it’s hard to time the hits when playing heel toe. How can I overcome this?

    At nine minutes into the video :
    "Imagine the pedal is your prisoner. You don't want to carry your prisoner all the way, no? You hold him at gunpoint and just give him a little nudge from time to time", with the accent of a voice that sounds like he could be running a prison camp. I bought the trigmic based on wanja's review. I absolutely adore it, though I don't play live metal shows at the moment.
    Can anyone explain why they're not more popular? Especially for fellas like myself who play local clubs and bars in a big city, and take the subway to gigs, so we can't carry around a flight case full of electronics? It seems like a no brainer to me.

    its weird, i am not taletned for anything double bass over 180 but then again, when i search or in this case do not search for excersizes, algo, i came up with the same excersize myself, i currently just do the same thing. But only to get feeling back into the feet. and as i allready mentioned not at high speeds. Internal monologou externalized: I do that like in the end or the beginning of a pattern, dodoDO(left) dodoDO(right) and thought its good because it hurts in the legs. So this makes a coach rather than a football player right?
