How did you install the hoses on the bov to the solenoid?
This may be helpful for s55 on pures stage 2+ with compressor surge

You still running the bov kit, any issues, how you liking it? I know when running more psi than factory you upset the oem system with more than it can handle, that’s a big reason this kit is produced.
Nah, I am not running it anymore. But I run it for 3 years with no issues.

No, no lag.
Do you need to flash a tune to run a blow off valve on a bmw or you can drive it has it is?
No.
This is a great upgrade if you want your car to a sound like mitsubishi evo and you are 16 years old.

@@Jbpgarage did you notice any drop in responsiveness? BMW explained that they avoided using a blow off valve for quick response and reduce the feeling of turbo lag. Any noticeable differences?
No, there’s no noticeable change in throttle respond, loss of power or turbo lag.
@@Jbpgarage sounds cool. Did you upgrade the j-pipe to be able to add meth later?
The kit comes with a updated j pipe and it has a port for meth.

Seems kind of pointless. Why do you need to wire it up?
@@rickdoyle4981 the same could be said for most mods, why do you need cold air intake or charge pipes? You need to wire it up , so the valve knows when to vent. So far from what I have gathered, the white wire that goes to the paddle is the signal. Which is set to vent at about 80 % throttle, which is probably at full boost.
You need this if you're running bigger turbos to prevent surge.
Charge pipes are known to crack , front mount intakes give significantly lower iats... fyi

I installed the BOV but it's not really as consistent as I thought it would be. It only releases air when I really step on it. Any suggestions or is it supposed to be like that?
I thought it was supposed to release excess Boost in the charge pipes everytime you let off the gas.
Yes, there is an adjustment wheel in the black module box, it comes set at 80% throttle, open the box and set it to 50%. At 50% it kick in at 3000 rpm 👍🏿.

I don’t think installing a BOV on a S55 engine is a good idea…. Your gonna fuck with the DME…. I’d take it off if I was you.

is this system relevant for the factory firmware? Is it a hybrid? does the air go partially into the intake?
@Geoly82 it comes with a replacement j pipe and an air solenoid that purge out some of the air at 3k rpm.
is there no over-enrichment of the mixture?
