Did that yesterday. Thanks for the tutorial. I did it even easier and didnt have to lose the driveshaft. With the press kit I just pressed out the old bushings from the front bracket while hanging on the drive shaft. Biggest pain was the opper bolt on the rear bracket... Car is now perfect :) No vibrations under acceleration!
This is pretty crazy bro! I need to have mine done as well! I usually perform all mods/maintaince work myself, but with how elaborate this is, I think I may find a shop that is able to do this! Great Video!
I know this is an old video but hopefully will get an answer. For the bolt that is covered by the gas tank, couldn’t you use a torx ratchet wrench to fit in there without having to drop everything more?? Great video 👏
This might be the one mod I don't have on my car. I'm jealous your quick jack doesn't bleed like a stuck pig.i love my single mid pipe and mad max exhaust.
Just wondering cause my car is staring to have a slight clunking noise in the rear when cruising and getting on the gas and letting off the gas is this what you experience?
Yo I have the same noise, I thought I did something wrong but I guess I wasn’t the only person, I try to find a video of after they installed them and test drive to see if the noise was there but I couldn’t find any video🤦♂️
Question, I installed the diff poly bushing on my BMW M4 DCT too and I was wandering if you have the same noise coming from the diff as me, it sounded like a knocking/ Clunk noise when gear is shifting down or when you push the gas pedal really fast or you let go of the gas really fast and I was wondering if you have this experience after installing them?
@TunedAuto_Official subscribed to your YT and requesting to join your F8X owners FB group. I think I need to replace the bushings but have another primary issue in diff or driveshaft. . .or Trans 🤦🏾♂️
Thank you , Was the wheelhops elimintaded? And The "clonk" elemineted ? :) or maybe i will do the double bushing on the back diff ? Or maybe its overrated for dailydrive..
I feel like you left out a ton of bolts that need to be bought, in the part numbers area. Diff bolts? V brace bolts that are said thats needed to be replaced. Id just like a straight forward “all needed hardware and parts” list with part numbers.
Thanks for the video! This is my next big project on the car. One question though. I was going to use 4 jack stands with BMW lift adapters, do you really like the quick jack for this work, or did it get in the way? (other than the first brace mention)
have had the same stupid red ecs bushings on my f82.. Makes my car sound like utter shit lol.. My wife makes fun of it saying it sounds like my cars messed up lol
@@FabrinRez negative… only way is to go back to OEM. 2018 LCI came with Poly bushings but I believe they have a rubber core. So I’d get those. Can’t really do anything if you have the red ones installed. I got used to it. At least they won’t go bad for a long long time.

I'll be doing this soon and won't be removing the driveshaft as well. Hope this will take care of the rear clunk i'm hearing on my f80.
What bushing press did you use? :)

Thank you so much for the video! This video definitely was the most straightforward install I’ve seen for this.
Wow great work, if bmw says to replace the bolts may be TTY and stretch when installing
The dual mount bracket looks a great solution, good job and tutorial. Is this job worth doing on a 2019 car with the later bush? Thanks
I guess it comes down to preference. How does the drivetrain feel when shifting? Are you tracking the car?

@@azdannyboi it's not that old 😅 and no because the bolt is too long
I get a thump everytime i press the throttle. I assume its the bushings

@@khalidali8482 yup! I'd confirm by looking at the bushing. You might be able to see it without jacking up the car by using your phone.

You didn’t want to go with a bracket to raise the diff to keep the drivetrain angles in check?
I have some questions as I want to attempt. What's the best way to chat with you? I need some assistance on this topic

Make sure both the front and rear brackets are fastened properly. Sounds like you have something that's not torqued all the way.
@@tuned_auto they are all torqued but am not sure if it the stiffness of the bushing itself or not.
@@tuned_autoI think you might be right not sure yet but am about to go back and recheck the torque!
Same procedure for F83? And how do u know whether or not to replace driveshaft?
Yes. You don't need to replace your driveshaft when replacing the rear bushings.

Hi. Could you share me the information on the bushing removal tool ??
There is a whole kit for the job: amzn.to/45bY65O
Thank you , Was the wheelhops elimintaded? And The "clonk" elemineted ? :) or maybe i will do the double bushing on the back diff ? Or maybe its overrated for dailydrive..
The clonk is gone now. I don't think I experienced much wheel hop.
Yo for the description you put 215Nm / 15ft lbs instead of 215Nm / 154ft lbs
Whoops! fixed.

Im also confused a bit as im only doing the rear diff bushings and upgraded mount. So im not sure what bolts to keep or leave out.

The Quickjack is easily the best investment I have made as a car enthusiast so far. Well worth it and definitely not in the way.
@@tuned_auto : You pushed me over the edge I have one coming the first week of Nov. :)
@@BlackEyeIII Yes 🤙 Crazy enough they sent me 2 quick jacks 5000s by accident so I sold one at a discount to a local detailing shop
How is the wine? I just changed mine to the ecs bushings and I hear a lot of wine
@@christopherpersaud8472 no wine at all. Sounds same as stock
Are there any downsides to utilising both bushes on the rear of the diff?
Depending on the bushings you use, the additional stiffness could introduce more diff whine
you couldve just kept the driveshaft in and pressed out the bushings inside the car?
Technically yes but I didn't want to risk scratching up the driveshaft.
hey what wheels setup are u running?
Rohana RFX5 20x10 et22 and 20x11 et28. I wish I did 9" in the front
I have new ones installed 95 durameter polyurethane. Lots of Noise, vibration, and harshness. Hate it.
ECS tuning bushings?
