I have a 2017 540i. Way too much grass and leaves between the radiators. I ended up taking the radiators out and deep cleaning them. My solution is to cut out the plastic just under the radiators since it has another plastic piece covering all that with the little screws. Hopefully the leaves will have more room and go towards the engine and fly around down low and find a way out. You have to clean it out cause as soon as that big fan clicks on. All the leaves probably go up the radiator and stick in the middle and then go back down when the fan turns off JbP. Not sure if your BMW has a gap between radiators like mine. But if you take off all the top plastic covers and the aluminum brace that goes across. Then you can see in there. All the leaves worked their way under the first radiator and stayed right in the middle

That is the infamous decreasing radius turn that is even BLIND. Wow. No signage warning drivers it a sharp angle turn. No wonder 3 separate drivers blew that turn!!!

Dude thank you so much for this video. I replaced my whole coolant system like a year & a half ago. So I know everything is good… besides this part lol. I didn’t replace these pipes because the leaks weren’t coming from them. I replaced all the hoses & the coolant tank & thermostat. Then I started hearing this whistling the last 3 times I drove & I know it wasn’t from the actual engine I knew it was from a leaking pipe or a pressure problem. So when I heard your car squeak when you did the pressure test it instantly reminded me of my car & I saw all my coolant leaked out yesterday when I got home. Then I came across this video. So at least I can fix it now.

Gotta pull the oil pan and a rod cap to check the crank

run tests and open up your oil pan, and see the oil filter on the oil pump most likely wear and see if the bores are dammeged or not
