    Have you had any issues with the lower bushing on the strut? I was told spinning that bushing might give you issues in the future. I’m just wondering if you’ve had issues cause I just installed my leveling kit the exact same way as you but right now it’s all good.

      No issues at all and I can't see how twisting it that little amount would ever cause an issue. Once it bounces up and down a few times it will slowly find it's happy spot anyway.

    The upper control arm looks like is right next to the spring now

      It is a very tight setup. In fact I doubt they could get any more lift with this type of kit. Of course, when the truck is on the ground it moves further away.

    Do you mind telling me the brand and models of both air impacts you use? Great job, by the way!

      The small one is a Astro Nano 3/8in 500ft/lb impact. And the bigger one is a Ingersol Rand 1/2in.

    Curious why you took out the locking gear. Couldn't you leave it in and just use a vacuum pump for reassembly ?

      I couldn't quite get the axle out. I might have been able to if I applied a little more force but it was only 3 bolts and it is off.

    Did you just lift your truck without any jack stands, 😮 that’s scary, I believe safety first.

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  5 месяцев назад

      I slide a jack stand under the truck after jacking it up but I don't always set the truck down on the jack stand. I place it there in case the jack does fail then it will come down on the jack stand.
      You should always use a jack stand.

    Take that sway bar link off and you do half the work you just did there

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  Год назад +1

      I did it easier than that. I took the sway bar mounts off which are much easier to remove than the links themselves and you get the same benefit. I showed that in the video.

      @@737mechanic its a single nut on the link man 😂 and it all flops down no pry bar needed, i didnt even take the axle and brakes off when i did the other side

      @737mechanic  Год назад +2

      @@mariosgbodys Yea, but you have to back it up with a wrench or it spins. The sway bar mounts are easier. I have done it both ways.
