A Classic Hardcore player named Swifty recently confused the WoW community when his character mysteriously died for no reason, in this video I explained what happened.

I'm a bit confused what phasing has to do with anything here? It's not like layer 1 mobs are attacking him on layer 2.
Ghosts are there, you simply can't see them without a buff.

I used to pass time on my warlock by just casting detect invisible on anyone heading in to Undercity. You could always tell who was newish or not by how they reacted to now seeing the ghosts.
I wish you did that to me when I was new :(
This isn't "supposed to be phased" They are SUPPOSED to always be there, always invisible and a reminder to players to be respectful in the ruins of Lordaeron.

It wasn't an oversight by Blizzard.
It was how it was meant to be.
Same with the ghosts in the rest of the world.
You are casting AOE in what is essentially a graveyard and their pace of death, their now home.
Blizzard meant for you to be attacked.
What phase are the Unseen supposed to be in? I thought they were just a neat easter egg and that's why they're called "The Unseen"
Baffled a lot of WoW players? Did no one who plays classic now play WoW back in the day or something? Thought this was common knowledge if you played horde back in the day, surprised Swifty of all people didn't know about it but he was Alliance right?
They are good defence if they still work the same as you can trick people into using any aoe that dose damage as long as you dont they will never hit you.

I have been playing WoW for more than a decade, usually been maining lock troughout the years and this is the first time i heard of this... Damn. I wonder what else was right under my nose this whole time. I mean i did on very few occasions seen those shades but i thought nothing of them as i assumed they are just there to show how gloomy the atmoshpere of the place was or something. I've also seen some phantoms roaming main cities but i couldnt find any information about what the hell are those, and no body i asked knew.

when I was a noob and didnt know pvp server ment all the time i spent 35 to 43 just farming the Unseen in duskwood as a war lock you HAD a spell detect invisible which let me farm them, any any one that AoE ed my to try and kill me would be killed by them as THEY by pass everything damage wise & hit you like you back is turned no matter what ONLY if you CAN'T see them, made a good bit of money on the mageweave cloth as I didnt have to go anywhere "hard" to get the drops.
I literally talked about this very same subject with a friend like 30min ago and now this video pops up in my recommended.
This is one scary coincidence. lol
