I think they are between 2 rollers and slowly they go back and forth between the walls of the incubator. Then at a point in time the rollers are stopped, so that the chick's can hatch with out getting caught up n hurt in them. They move very slow.

If I remember right on those, the shelf that He slid the blue tray on moves one side at a time. Like, the left side will go up, while right side goes down, then left side goes down and right side goes up. (Something like that) The blue tray just holds the eggs, so they don't move by themselves, but the whole shelf moves instead.

I absolutely adore how Brooke and Jason are so supportive of one another and what a terrific team they are. I learn so much from this channel. Such genuine love for animals could easily bring me to tears. Moo reminds me of a cuddly lap puppy that happens to be a Gentle Giant. I remember when Brooke was bottle feeding sweet Mildred. I honestly cannot say who enjoyed it more - Mildred or Brooke. Of course MaryCarl is such a shining example of someone that anyone would be proud to have as a daughter. Thank you for the work that goes into this channel. It is an honor to observe your videos.

Hi guys! Such a beautiful day to start new chickens! I love the idea of having them in your closet. I received my first, ever, chickens last Mother’s Day. My daughter gave me three one being a Silkie. I was SO excited until one morning I heard a crowing sound. We live in the city limits and are not allowed to have Roosters. He was beautiful but we had to re-home him. My husband is still upset about it. Best of luck with your new adventure!💕

I suggest if you do not want babies make sure you collect the eggs daily, because the minute you let them get 5 or 6 eggs they are going to go broody. lol They are so adorable. Love them!! The Brooder is where Brooke raised her live Reds she bought for her egg layers that are in the chicken mobile in the pasture. The brooder keeps them warm and able to grow bigger and get their feathers, then you put them into the garden chicken house outside where they learn to scratch around and become adult chickens, then they will put in the nesting boxes for egg laying ❤. I hope I gave you good info, have a great day and fun watching them come to life.

I got some of the first Sil kes on the westcoast back in the early 70's . Our fish and wildlife here in Oregon used to have a program for hatching and fostering. Quail and Pheasant chicks. We got the eggs hatched them and got to keep half and released half back to the wild. I used my Sillies hens to be a calming influence and a babysitter. I miss those days as a beginner in 4-H.

I love hatching eggs. A few days before they hatch you can hear them peeking. It’s such a great experience to see them.

Looking forward to the hatch and a chicken breed that sounds up my alley.

That chicken coop is absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to see it all in place.
