Lots of big things going on in this video. Lorraine's parents are such a blessing. Get lots of rest for another big day. Your portable cooler is fantastic. Take care.👍💕
It's Lumnah Acres! No, it's Hollar Homestead! No! It's Jason from Sow the Land!! Your Father-in-Law is such a great help. You had a BUSY day! I hope all went well with processing your Beefy Boy.
Your amazing how organised you are and I love how everything is looking so clean and tidy. Your father -in - law is certainly a great mate to have helping you out. Love your videos xxx
The fun is about to happen with the tractor.. you should go half and half with some bucket forks with you neighbor so it would be much easier to unload the pallets from the trailer...
Randy, I don't think you're retired yet, you're on the part two of your life. From a viewers standpoint, Im really gonna miss beefy boi #2. He seems like such a sweetheart. 😢
I wonder if you ever considered purchasing a used portable grain bin/ hopper? They are on wheels and can be towed behind most SUV's or light pickups. They are small enough to store inside a barn or are usually weatherproof enough to haul out to your stock and its on hand where you need it. Would save many man hours of handling feed so often. Just a thought :)
Good morning Bernice and all. LOVE FROM s.e.michigan You have spring, we have ice storm. I LOVE the beefy boy's. I too will miss the boy's. First was, the bacon brothers, now the beefy boy's. Very Best to you. CHOW. I am praying for you ❤️ that it will go well with your harvest. And my power stays on. Keeps flickering off ànd on. Many are out of. Power. Thank you JESUS 🀄🀄🀄🀄✝️❤️☀️💗🌺🙏🙏🙏🌹🎉👍👍👍💯💔💐🌻🌹🙏
O snap! I thought you got a tractor Jason.... but even the neighbors tractor can be a blessing. We are going to miss the beefy boy too. Maybe milk cow in your future? I just love watching~
Love how you look like a pro now! Moving the animals. Huge amounts of feed at a time. What a difference since your last place! Congrats to your family. Your father in law is amazing with all the energy he has!
I wish I could get my father in law to help me out like yours does! Next time you want to pull out a tree or stump, double wrap it with one end of the chain and hook it back to itself so it can pull tight on whatever you want to move and hook the other end to the back of the tractor. Put the tractor in it's lowest gear and let it crawl the stump out of the hole. It works better on whole trees, but if you have to cut the top off, leave the stump about 3'-4' tall. My little 36hp ford can pull some surprisingly large stuff for its size.
Sad to see another Beefy Boy go, I loved your interactions with them, I seriously can’t wait to have some Beefy Boys of my own, hopefully later this year !🐮💕🇺🇸♥️
Try using the hydraulics to lift the stump rather than pull it. You’ll probably need to attach the brush cutter and have someone stand on it for added weight in the back. Good luck.
TFS love the progress your making. Also love seeing the parents there offering you help on the farm and with butchering. Which is a lot for the three of you. Many blessings from California 💕💯🙏
Good morning Bernice! Wow the piggies are getting really big. Nice Job. Everything is looking great. Just use a stump grinder. Your gonna pull half ur barn apart.
Great video! I would suggest standing a little further from the chains when you’re pulling the stump, just in the off chance one snaps. Fast way to lose a leg. 😬
Is that an L2501? edit: Kubota makes great equipment. Probably one of the best bang for your buck manufactures. Where they get you though is on attachments.
Wild weather patterns this year - you guys in the 80’s and we are at 27F with snow and ice on the ground. Wishing you a successful harvest of beefy boy. Best wishes from Kate in Olympia, WA 2/24/2023.
The channel SmarterEveryday demonstrates the use of a snatch block. It's quite an amazing mechanism that uses mechanical advantage to lift huge amounts of weight. Much love from the midwest.
thanks for the video. hope all goes well with the butchering of the "biffe boy" I know its a lot of work for you all but the rewards of the farm fresh meat is worth it. have a great day. the salad and chicken supper really looked good.
It's very admirable that you can all work so well as a family (aka: with the in-laws). It seems to be a rarity these days. You and your family are really doing well with homesteading. Blessings.
We love your videos and appreciate you sharing. So much hard work…….but it is rewarding you all. We have followed you since your second or third video….
Great call with the chain hoist! With enough chain and a big anchor point (big trees) that would also be the more powerful option for removing the stump. I've got a Kubota that's a bit bigger than yours. The loader/bucket is not so powerful - it would easily become a roll over hazard if it could lift more. The rear three point hitch actually has the most lifting power.
Jason, what do you think about this idea that if you have enough barrels of one color , can one be for pigs and another for chickens? if only that Kubota had some other front equipment to assist you & family for lifting & other good help. Thank you for sharing the growth of your Homestead, it's so cool to see how your family has a real home to sustain your health & lives.
I think you could probably hoist that feed tote up and put the drum underneath then open the bottom to fill it up instead of scooping but I have never tried that myself so it could end up being a disaster lol
Hmmm , have ya begin to look fer a 2500 or 3500 HD along with a dual axle trailer? I bought my Duramax used and a both of my landscaping trailers I bought em used . Hope ya get that tree out .
Jason just remember cutting through dirt will blunt the blade on the saw zaw idk how you spell it in America but good videos and content thanks Jason. 👍👍🦘🦘
You need a Kubota tractor the same size and model as your neighbor's. I have that same tractor and I use it several times a week doing various jobs around my place. Look at what implements you think you need for various jobs around your farm. I have the tiller, bucket, level grader (not box grader), pallet forks, HD brush cutter, and a wagon to haul firewood and equipment. I hang cattle and hogs from the bucket when I'm butchering. You can't hang dairy steers from the bucket because they are too long. My only regret is not getting the backhoe attachment with it.
Hi, my name is Palvin. I live now in the Dominican republic and I just purchased 2.5 AK. Thanks for making me do this LOL. The hole N.C. Crew is the best, wish me luck...
Everyone needs a Randy.
Your beginning was so funny, Jason. You guys are the best!
😆 thanks! Just having fun.
🤣 I suspect you're watching the same homesteaders as me. Made me laugh.
Randy is such a help- you are very fortunate .
Lots of big things going on in this video. Lorraine's parents are such a blessing. Get lots of rest for another big day. Your portable cooler is fantastic. Take care.👍💕
Man that is some father in law you have. Enjoy watching you folks work together. Ladies too.

Your father in law is an awesome help.
Goodbye lil brother, your a good boy.🙏💙

RECIPES!!! Kitchen vlogs with Loraine are SO inspiring!!

That's cool that your finding better ways of lifting heavy stuff! Thanks for taking care of this family's need Beefy Boy ❤🤗👍
Wow y’all are working hard
Is that your father-in-law? He's an absolute stud (you are too). You're lucky to have him. Thank you.
Sad to see another Beefy Boy go, I loved your interactions with them, I seriously can’t wait to have some Beefy Boys of my own, hopefully later this year !🐮💕🇺🇸♥️
Busy day! Those little pigs are getting big!!
You've got that place looking good! I really enjoyed the mulcher video watching brush be cleared away!
Thanks 👍
I'm here in Kannapolis NC. It hit 80 degrees today. Odd weather for this time of year but I'm enjoying it.
You and Your Dad work so Hard!😊
Great progress & great help from Lorraine’s parents. Have a successful day butchering. Blessings to all 🤗💕🇨🇦
Hi.....Jason and Lorraine nice to see you love watching your videos homestead 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐣🐥🐕🐄🐖🌱🌺🌹🌻🌼🌸🌷🏡🎥👍👍👍
Your progress in your farm has been such a joy to watch...great team work...praying for the best for you guys👍

I will miss seeing Beefy Boy 2 also. Oh you are going to love that tractor. Maybe you need a bigger one.
So apprehensive watching
When pulling your tree trunk have you thought about the roots going under the shed. The barn could be holding it in place.
TFS love the progress your making. Also love seeing the parents there offering you help on the farm and with butchering. Which is a lot for the three of you. Many blessings from California 💕💯🙏
Just noticed something Jason & family you and Ben & Meg are @ 39k keep up the great work guys.
To get rid of the rats you can put down some baking soda mixed in with a box of cornbread mix
Safety blessing on your beefy project
Your inlaws are amazing with helping y'all. Would a larger rope work better with your first option (tool) for raisimg/lifting the cow or bags of feed?
Glad your dad & mom can help out like that, I miss both y dad & mom. Your cow looks small to me.
Gods Blss you guys🙏🙏
Good morning Bernice! Wow the piggies are getting really big. Nice
Job. Everything is looking great. Just use a stump grinder. Your gonna pull half ur barn apart.
dig out more depression for semi-planned pond. and build up a swale to guide water into it?
Great video! I would suggest standing a little further from the chains when you’re pulling the stump, just in the off chance one snaps. Fast way to lose a leg. 😬

edit: Kubota makes great equipment. Probably one of the best bang for your buck manufactures. Where they get you though is on attachments.
Chain hoist for sure.
You and your father in law are hard workers. Good luck with the butchering. Good video. 💖
My gravely pro turn 148 did the same things the first six months I had it. Have had it for 5 years now and haven’t had any other issues with it
Shouldn’t pull anything with the front of tractor. Enjoying your videos
Stumps are tough, glad I've got a backhoe.
lucky
I never thought of folding the gate in. I'll have to try that with mine since I have the same problem
I'm sure they've already processed the cow by now, but is the cow actually a good size to process? He seems so small.
Doesn’t matter when it’s for your family. Whatever you prefer. Thanks
Looks like that tree root has got you stumped.😉
Stay strong! Thanks for the inspiration
Jason awesome video hello to your lovely wife and beautiful daughter Rosa
Nice tractor
The kubota has a fork lift accessory for its front quick release. Hint hint neighbor, time to put the tractor in good use lol.
Good morning Bernice and all. LOVE FROM s.e.michigan

I thought the freezer was full. Did you get another one? Enjoyed the education in finding the right tool for the job. Poor Beefy boy.
freezer is not full 😀
Use the tractor for EVERYTHING!!
The channel SmarterEveryday demonstrates the use of a snatch block. It's quite an amazing mechanism that uses mechanical advantage to lift huge amounts of weight. Much love from the midwest.
Great video
You are so lucky with your in-laws. You got a great deal, lovely wife who gave you a wonderful daughter and her parents. BARGAIN!
Was just thinking we haven't seen your daddy-in-law for a while.
Ahoj zo Slovenska.
Grettings from Slovakia!
Aww poor beefy boy. I’m feeling conflicted 😐. It’s hard to homestead sometimes.
thanks for the video. hope all goes well with the butchering of the "biffe boy" I know its a lot of work for you all but the rewards of the farm fresh meat is worth it. have a great day. the salad and chicken supper really looked good.
Great job on using the chain hoist. They are worth their weight in gold
Looking.forward to seeing you guys in the next video. This was great .Ontario
We'll done Jason getting old man man to do manual work take care of you all Pete cape Town
Put something on the root that would dry it out, something not harmful to animals just in case.
You’ll wonder how you ever lived without that tractor
Gloves will give you so much more leverage and a hard hat when you are pulling stumps. Sorry, Im a mom and a grandma and a girl scout.
It's very admirable that you can all work so well as a family (aka: with the in-laws). It seems to be a rarity these days. You and your family are really doing well with homesteading. Blessings.
Instead of buying your gravely you should have bought a kubota like that. You can do loader work and mow with a finish mower or brush hog.
the more I have this tractor the more I feel like I don't need a tractor. I guess I am so used to doing things without it.
We love your videos and appreciate you sharing. So much hard work…….but it is rewarding you all. We have followed you since your second or third video….
I love this family
Great work
Laredo , Texas is near 90 and San Antonio is in the mid 80’s .
Though , I’m liking the weather up north .
That awesome

We are burrrrrrr cold and a foot of snow to come on Saturday, B C Canada, So enjoy the heat .

A chain fall is always better.
Labels are good. Didnt label mine, figured I would remember. Im just glad the feed smells different from each other LOL
Hmmm , have ya begin to look fer a 2500 or 3500 HD along with a dual axle trailer?
I bought my Duramax used and a both of my landscaping trailers I bought em used .
Hope ya get that tree out .
I laugh, "we are going to be in the 80s", its a high of 20 today
Jason just remember cutting through dirt will blunt the blade on the saw zaw idk how you spell it in America but good videos and content thanks Jason. 👍👍🦘🦘

Thanks Steve, that is good to hear. I just need to think differently about it and get used to the idea of using a big machine. Thanks!
Heya, to bad that didn't work whit the tractor. more feed means more animals have to see that
Lol with the Kubota!!
Goodnight y'all and to Berenice😉😂
Please introduce your helper and tell us about him.
Lmao, 😂 that little block and tackle, you were trying to kill Randy? Consider a gantry since you are modifying your barn.
That block and tackle will lift 2,000 lbs
Time for a bigger trailer
Hi, my name is Palvin. I live now in the Dominican republic and I just purchased 2.5 AK. Thanks for making me do this LOL. The hole N.C. Crew is the best, wish me luck...
Peace 🕊 💕
Well that darn tractor has been a bust! Guess that shows you your gonna need a big tractor!
