@@hishmithvvardhan5809 No, if that was the case, they would try to avoid it due to punishment... which leaves a major safety concern.
@@hishmithvvardhan5809 airlines pretend there is a just no blame policy. But in reality (especially in middle eastern airlines) you get called to the office and have to defend yourself.

1:01 that touch and go was really unusual, not anything about the touch down but the reverse thrusts coming on before going back up, never seen that before until now
I remember a pilot saying “when the reversers open it’s do or die” so yeah very unusual
Our A320 manuals state the last point at which a go-around can be initiated is selection of reverse thrust. I don't know about the Boeing manuals but that looks like a fuck up to me.

@@abhikchatterjee0206 It is not about an airline. A320 cannot initiate go-around if it selects reverse thrust because of if one of the engines stays in reverse position when other one to/ga position, It poses a huge risk of stalling.(Ofc firstly refer to your company's manuals)

Once thrust reverses are activated, you have to stay on the ground. That is a must.

It goes by quickly 2:50, but visitors to NYC often ask how to identify the three smaller bridges over the East River. It’s easy: BMW (Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg).

0:35 its not like there was not enough runway left to safely stop its the safety regulations that forbid it due to landing calculations since this is a freight aircraft. The GPWS would call " long landing " because of the ground effect. The 747-800 has an incredibre stopping power
We don’t have a GPWS informing us of a long landing in the 747. It’s our responsibility to touch down in the landing zone because our landing data (stopping distance based on meteorological conditions, auto brake setting used, thrust reverser, etc.) are all predicated on us touching down in the landing zone of the runway.
That 747 go around is really a great rare decision making!
It’s been really windy in Minneapolis this spring, I wouldn’t be surprised if we had a lot of go arounds this month.
