    Heads up for ppl looking for specs. This keyboard uses a kg649u pcb. Optimum Tech has already reviewed the high ground kb with the same pcb. Delay was almost 3 times as much as the 60HE. I guess the message here is to just save up for a wooting if u want the best performance rapid trigger kb.
    Extra info, End Game Gear uses a kg659u pcb. Which I assume is the updated version. But it is still around double the latency of a 60HE. Is the extra 60ms noticeable? Idk...

    For $130 it's definitely the better value rapid trigger keyboard atm. Maybe they can make the software keyboard on their website to glow instead and change colours when switches are highlighted for rapid trigger adjustments. Otherwise , for just offering a rapid trigger experience, it's a great value options.

The others all use these different switches that all seem to experience the same issues I've seen mentioned with lower latency actuation and issues with the rapid trigger. Even Optimum tested this and made a video about it. The best thing to do is just get a wooting, move it to a new case and customize it. Simple as.

      We are always improving! We've already noted frustration in the community regarding the lack of onboard profiles (hardware limitation), so we intend to include more onboard memory to allow for it in future. Additionally, the browser software is going to have a desktop port of it made once we finish adding features and fleshing out the web version. And hopefully the next revision of the a75 will have design improvements for modding; the alu case already uses screws and we're looking at any possible ways to keep a solid feeling board while making it easy to take apart.

      Significantly higher latency and less sensitivity than the Wooting.
      Despite all the competitors on the market now, Wooting still performs better than them all, hence the demand for the Wooting.
      Others offer better typing feel and build quality, but then so have regular non HE boards for years. If you're gaming, performance simply beats feel or build quality.

    • @mrkiredeid
      @mrkiredeid 8 месяцев назад

      @@NeonMako Its not significantly higher latency - its under 2ms (1.75ms) different. The reality is the vast majority of people aren't going to be able to tell that latency difference, so its not worth bringing up. For all intents and purposes, as long as RT functions as advertised without dropping inputs or inputting when it doesn't need to, you'd be more than hard pressed to tell the difference.
      With sensitivity (I'm assuming you mean rapid trigger/actuation point), both are pretty much the same. Wooting's 0.1mm sensitivity is more like 0.15, vs DD's 0.2mm sensitivity, so on a technicality sure wooting is more sensitive but no one is telling the difference between 0.05mm. (That's not to say that Wooting can't go more sensitive, but they've chosen not to in order to prevent accidental/false triggers)

    • @xVanevi
      @xVanevi 8 месяцев назад +7

      i have both and the difference isn't all that significant unless you consider 3ms a significant difference, and overall the drunkdeer feels much better to use, at this moment in time wooting has better latency and software and they are the founders of rapid trigger so they will forever have my support as the innovators but they still have things to work on.

    • @dominiorrr6510
      @dominiorrr6510 8 месяцев назад +8

      @@NeonMako If you really think that a 2ms difference in latency Wooting offers is significantly lower, then you've simply fallen for the gaming keyboard marketing.
      Comparing 2ms vs 4ms keyboard doesn't mean that you can react 2x faster. 2ms vs 4ms means that your total reaction time goes from ~302 ms to ~304ms for a total of ~0.5% difference. That is after including ping, human reaction time and other factors, like the time for the system/game to register clicks in imperfect conditions, opposed to the lab ones. Small latency differences between ultra fast keyboards just aren't something that could give anyone a real advantage.
      Not to mention that fast keyboard presses aren't even important in most competitive games, maybe except for mobas.
      What really can make a difference for gaming though is the rapid trigger option, but it's not Wooting exclusive anymore. There are keyboards that offer it too, but cheaper and with better build quality and keycaps.
      The only reason why Wootings are still relevant is because they pioneered the entire rapid trigger thing.

    • @dominiorrr6510
      @dominiorrr6510 8 месяцев назад

      @@xVaneviI agree, but once the software gets improved it won't even be a competition unless Wooting really improves the price/performance ratio with their future models. Obviously I respect that they were the first ones to introduce rapid trigger, but hopefully they won't just sit on that fact to make money.
      And let me tell you, no one actually considers 3ms latency difference to be high. Hell, I bet most people wouldn't even find a difference between 1ms and 30ms even after extended usage. It's mostly a marketing placebo imo.

      Magnetic/HE switches hasn't sounded as good as mechanical switches per se but maybe in the near future they might be. The Drunkdeer sounded decent here.
