Any more general smash topics you'd like me to explain? :)

quickly and safely do landing aerials like Joker upair into dsmash but less risk of either not doing the landing part consistent enough, or being too invested on the timing where I can't react to my opponent in time?

Please cover how you pick up on opponent's habits and how you punish those habits. Or how you can avoid an opponent's attacks or get out of combos. I swear I just get body bagged by all my opponent's moves.

How to effectively use/move around platforms. I find I often get stuck on platforms/cant get down without getting hit. In general, I seem to play worse when platforms are present even though I use Ike.
Would be nice to get some tips on that ! And keep up the videos are great

Another way to practice parries: go to training mode and set the CPU to Falco neutral b. Then make sure you also change your distance so you don’t just learn the timing of the CPU. When you got that down, add a second CPU on the other side of you and try to parry both

      This is really smart!

As an addendum to this, it also helps to slowly walk back and forth during this process. This way, you get used to timing your parries based on more varied ranges.

9:19 small correction on the shield flicking. Shield has to be active for 3 frames minimum before it can be dropped, so if you consider those frames as part of the sequence (since they would block the attack and still be safe), the odds shift slightly. Do do the math it would be 3 frames of shield + 5 frame parry window, for a total of 8 frames that will be safe from getting hit, and 6 frames that you're vulnerable. The odds then are 8/14 or 57.1% chance to block/parry the attack, which isn't fantastic, but still statistically significant.
To be clear I'm not advocating that everyone should do this all the time, but if you're ever in a lead and aren't risking too much, it's actually a pretty safe gamble to try every now and then.

Great advice, also extra points on what is probably the clearest explanation on the benefits of parry, most other sources always forget to clarify that you have access to your grounded options immidiately. All these things sound so simple but honestly didn't see this perspective before.

Really good concept that I've been trying to apply (although still trying to develop counterplay to the mix-up); I initially had trouble parrying within the first month of Ult. Then eventually I got really used to parrying low aerials (fighting Mario a lot helps when his stuff is -2 to -3 lol) and it became so critical to my gameplay since Yoshi's FTilt is an amazing parry punish (among with other punishes to KO!). Great vid!

I'm somewhat new to the game (1,500 hours- though it's probably all menus/waiting in arenas LOL) and am only just starting to get super serious about the game.
What I worry about most is frames. I feel like you have to be inhuman to remember the frames of EVERY move in the game. That's at *least* 23 moves' to remember (at least one jab, 3 tilts, 5 aerials, 3 smash attacks, 4 specials, 4 throws, pummel, dash and pivot grab). Multiply that by 3 for when the move comes out and frames of endlag, times 95 fighters for a total of 6,555 which is INSANE. Even if you "only have to remember the important frames!" that doesn't feel like it's gonna be much less. Not only do you have to be able to remember these numbers, you have to be able to THINK in frames to apply them- which NO human is capable of doing- so it always becomes so daunting to me when people start talking frames because I just have NO idea what I'm supposed to do with this information, I'm not gonna retain it, and worst of all? I feel like a massive nerd talking about them.

I dont think 2:24 is correct. Parrying doesnt just add 3 frames to the frame disadvantage of a move because parrying ignores a move's shieldstun. Old zss nair is -9 on parry because you get the 3 free frames and then 6 frames of zss in landing lag, assuming the zss lands the frame after the parry freeze ends.
