Are Bars on Wheels to Blame for Rowdy Street Partying?

- From farm tractors pulling wagon loads of revelers, to trucks carrying hot tubs full of boozing parties, the so-called “transportainment” industry is rocking in downtown Nashville. But some concerned citizens are worried that the ‘bars on wheels’ aren’t safe. “I don’t think that there are appropriate guidelines in place to make sure that people are safe,” said Jim Schmitz of “Safe Fun Nashville.” Inside Edition tagged along on a recent party bike tour with a group celebrating a reveler’s 21st birthday.
I wouldn’t trust myself drunk on a bar with no rails
😂😂😂 falling off would be lit
Exactly I like a diffrent seat style
Imagine the seat breaks or the railing nails weren't secure enough
You'd be fine, just control your intake😳
@@RedTitan5 don't we all.

I think when you have 6+ people drinking outdoors, something is gonna go down

I have to admit, that looks hella fun if you drink and party responsibly! It's always the morons that ruin it for everyone else..
Yes. There is always going to be that one person who wants to be extra!
The only dangers I saw in this video were drunk people making bad decisions
TRUEEEE
@@agentswipe6662 what do you think alcohol does?
Yeah, have you ever seen a sign that says don't do this on something that you think doesnt need it. Yeah, some idiot did something there and then engineers need to design it to be idiot proof.
He was so close to getting his head run over by that tire. It would've turned into final destination pretty quick.
It wasn't his turn
He wasn’t a paying customer but he was still drunk so he probably wouldn’t notice if he was hit/clearly didn’t notice that he was hit to him it was all fine he was drunk
"Does everyone feel safe?"
Drunk people: "Yeah, totally"
"Hey, what's that on your shirt? Were you stabbed?"
Drunk guy: "Huh? Oh yeah. Some guy stabbed me at a red light, but it's all good. Im fine. Wooo! Party!"

Must've happened in the UK and not the US since it was a stabbing and not a shooting 😎🤘
Sounds bout right 🤣 i kid you not. My hubby attracts the drunk stabbed person everywhere we go. He's so quiet and mild mannered we cant figure it out. Maybe cause hes 6'4 they think hes a party animal but so opposite.🤣
My wife and I live in Nashville. Believe me, all of us locals really don’t like getting stuck behind these slow moving things
Ok boomer
It would be worse if it was fast moving though slow moving is probably to ensure the party goers safety in a way. The only thing needs to be fixed is most likely adding seatbelts so people don’t fall off into traffic
@@Megz1794 thats the first thing anyone with a brain thinks as soon as they look at the stupid degeneracy bike
Everything has risks when it comes to alcohol so this is nothing better or worse than a normal pub
Except it's moving around in traffic with no guardrails
“Nah just go play in traffic, but _drunk_ “
Well said Mando 🍻
But why increase the risks by adding traffic accidents, noise pollution, and litter pollution?
They should make a Japanese food one instead. If it’s just alcohol and parties then I can’t help but feel a accident is coming
Drinking on the road. What could go wrong?
Exactly.
Ahh alcohol.. the cause and solution to all my problems..
'Homer Simpson'
Damn that host guy has to drink like 30 Red Bulls to complete a shift. Just watching him is exhausting.
😂😂
that was my main thought as well. ol boy has to be drinking as well to be able to match their energy
i wonder if the drivers get tipped
A man drank 30 Red Bulls. This is what happened to his liver.
He was also giving it all he had bc he was being recorded.
The 1920s would say you're literally pedaling your devil juice. Lol
And the ladies peddle their asses all over town lol
As a local, I can say that we don’t hate these…. But they need to be regulated. It’s gone way overboard and causes major traffic jams

Nashville has been doing this for years. This isn’t related to a pandemic.
ISNT THAT NASHVILLE WELL KNOWN ..ITS A FARMER STATE HAH HAH .
@@majikdivaa6199 relax
@@majikdivaa6199 Ive been all over our country, Nashville is a top 5 party city. Think more condensed Vegas or a smaller Bourbon Street
U want more COVID-19 news coz that’s that last thing I wanna hear
No one said it was about the pandemic though
So what's the difference between having an open container in a vehicle and this?
They aren’t driving, there is a designated person that actually is the driver. The pedaling is just an illusion to entice people in the street into thinking it gives you a workout.
Even if your not driving just the passenger it's self gets the driver a ticket even their car taken away.. Trust me I know you cannot have an open container in a vehicle even if you're not driving.. 😂 🤣😭
The driver isn’t drinking… so fyi u r a smartass for asking
@@chanistheman reality is the driver doesn't have to be drinking just having a open container for days ago you'll still get in trouble you like it or not that's facts and law... 😂
@@chanistheman you cant have an open alcohol container AT ALL
This is a very nice business idea. First time hearing about it. Hopefully more safety measures can be applied.
JACKSEPTICEYES DAD IS BURNING IN HELL LMAO
I agree. I think they should have some sort of railing so someone wont stumble off and into a vehicle like that one guy did. That could've been really ugly.
Bars on wheels sounds like the name of a good country song lol
I was thinking about that lol lmao 😂😂 someone should sing make music out of it
Is there really no personal accountability anymore I'm sick of people ruining things for other people it's getting old
Absolutely @Bill it’s like no one takes responsibility hardly anymore... For their own actions.😑
This reminds me of my trip to Vegas a few months ago,I went on the High Roller" and the bartender would refuse to serve the other people riding with me Shots because they didn't want some idiot to overdo it and ruin the fun for the rest of us. We all still had a great time in the end.
@@vladimir-savage72 that’s because some places have better control of telling customers when it’s time to stop drinking or serve only a certain number of drinks then stop
This is in Nashville. What I don't understand is how can they drink in the street, but you can't walk out of a bar with a beer.
It's a mobile bar
they're still in the bar
@@sauce_ur_patty yes but it’s a bar on wheels it’s designed to be in the streets to extent it just needs to add certain safety measures.

Edit: This was a joke. (^^;)
How is it illegal if the driver is not intoxicated? Its just a bunch of drunks pedaling
@@furrycircuitry2378 in some states you can’t have any containers of alcohol open in your vehicle. Doesn’t matter if the vehicle is in motion or not.
The pedaling does nothing. They wouldn’t let just random people drinking propel a road vehicle, think about it for one second.
@@doctormanganate5814 I promise you, the vehicle doesn’t use drunk people pedaling to power it. Ive been on them and seen them multiple times in multiple cities, a lot of the time people aren’t pedaling yet it is still moving.

The driver of the pedal bus looked like he was having fun
Who else remembers the episode of Hell's Kitchen where fat bobby almost died on one of these during their punishment?

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! Its not the responsibility of the govt to think for people. And there will always be some who take advantage of the unthinking
Looks like they just need to ensure a rail tbh just so they can't easily fall off. Otherwise drinking anywhere has its own risks. I don't see much of a problem.
I would go with a rail and seatbelts so people stay in their seats less of a chance of accident or maybe try to control how many drinks they give people per ride so that way no one goes overboard on the drinking.
That is awesome I’m glad to hear that
I’ve never seen one of these in my life and still have witnessed crazy street partying
I think it should be called "Beers on wheels"
I blame rowdy people ruining it for everyone 🙂
the party bus from regular show lol
Nothing is safe when you have that many people encouraging each other drinking…… Most of the time it seems that alcohol turns people into blabbering idiots.
Imagine having ur birthday with reporters lol
“…drinking and peddling…” 😂
Man I miss Nashville…
That looks really fun, but they should make them a bit more safe.
Right like no backing on the chairs you lean back and lose your grip on the bar your done. Car will run over you or even smash into your back on purpose from road rage.
@Laramie Tingle right thank you
They're safe. The bikes or carts go slow to the point where some bystander can easily jog up and grab on to get in. It's only unsafe when people abuse alcohol and act like morons
I don't go often to downtown Nashville but the times I've been this looks like fun.
And I get stopped by forgetting to wear my seatbelt
We also have those here in downtown detroit as well.
After getting stuck behind one countless times circling a pathetic (2 block) downtown Wisconson area - They just punctured all the tires
Imagine being stuck behind these things in traffic? I can imagine a lot of road rage incidents between cars and these things.

They check their patrons for intoxication before intoxicating them? Yeah! That makes a lot sense.
I think they mean afterwards to make sure no one goes overboard on the drinking meaning they probably limit the amount of drinks that they serve per ride
Watching this story after one of these flipped on its side in Atlanta. lol

Cars should be made with a system that can sense that someone is drunk and will not start so they will be safe and so will other people be safe.

I actually never got on this mobile bar before
We went to the one in Hollywood Ca. and had a ball
Should be illegal it's illegal for passengers in your car to be drinking
I’d definitely go on one of those
I'd rather be out on one of these drinking then feel trapped in a crowded bar.
I'd rather be in a bar (pre COVID). Far less chance of being hit by a car. And what happens if someone is being harassed? Where's the bouncer?
Funny how u can't drink in a car but u could drink on a party bus
Drinking alcohol is overrated. We drink when we had a good day. We drink when we have a bad day....it’s so social.... give me a water with a lime any day and I wake up feeling great...always.
