- Young women are warning anyone trying on clothes in a dressing room to be vigilant because someone may be watching. Inside Edition’s investigation found cases of creeps getting busted for spying on women in changing rooms. Emily Lang says she was trying on Halloween costumes when she looked down and saw a phone propped up on a pair of jeans. The same thing happened to then-15-year-old Annabelle Davis when she was trying on swimsuits. Turns out, the same creep is responsible for both incidents and was just arrested again for allegedly doing the same thing. Inside Edition’s Lisa Guerrero has more.
Almost all rapists start out as peeping toms then get bolder and move up. This is why it's even more important to charge them because when it's brushed off it gives them the idea that violating women is fine and passively gives them permission to continue to do worse..

As someone who works for a clothing store this is a warning. Thank you for telling us to be aware. I'll make sure to keep an eye near the dressing rooms for now on. For the saftey of our costumers.
A couple years ago I was in a women's clothing store to try on bathing suits, when one of the female employees had to stop a man from walking into the dressing rooms. Several women were in there getting changed, and some (myself included) were outside of the cubicles (still in the walled-off changing area) in various states of undress. I remember she ended up having to be quite forceful to get him to leave and even had to go as far as physically blocking him from going any further inside, because he was so weirdly insistent on waiting there for his wife. I was SO grateful for that employee that day, for standing up and protecting our privacy. Can't imagine having that privacy being violated even further by being secretly filmed like these women. So thank you for looking out for your customers' safety! It doesn't go unnoticed!

It’s more like the police just don’t want to have to do the paperwork in regards to this. Even though they were filming an underage girl (she was 15) in a state of undress, so that would be considered child p*rn and should have been big jail time.
It is not a harmless crime, once those pictures hit the internet, the situation takes a drastic turn for the worse. Stiff penalties need to be applied to curb this type of digital voyeurism.
Yeah, especially with AI and photo recognition on the rise. You could literally look up somebody social media, address, and many more personal details by uploading a photo these days. The victims may get stalked at some point 😢 and I am hoping that they don’t 🙏

I don't understand how someone who got arrested for spying on a woman in a dressing room did not learn his lesson. I mean he went back committed the same crime and still got arrested for it. You would think that spending time in jail would make someone not to do crime again.

Stores need to stop being so CHEAP & each individual dressing room should be a sealed safe space for any age or sex. There have always been peeping pervves!!! It's not a new thing!!! Frankly I would NEVER use a cubicle like that in a store for this very reason. Also years ago I was trying on clothes in a ladies only store with very thick floor length curtain which felt really adequate... until some woman's bratty toddler was allowed to run up & down the corridor ripping everyones curtains open. I work at a Marshall's and sometimes I have to cover the fitting room on my shifts to check anything suspicious, and the fitting rooms we have separate the changing stalls from men and women like how restrooms separate them. All I have to say so far is that I'm glad I haven't had any customers experience peepers from doing that so far. In fact, our store policies won't allow couples to be in the same stall together unless one is a handicap that needs assistance from the other. We sometimes get customers asking why and I have to explain to them, now I'm even more glad my job has the policies for one of these reasons. However, I will still look out to be cautious for pervs trying to peep on others, I'm glad I still can do that.

Why is that open space at the bottom even open to begin with? Why can't the dressing room walls and door go all the way down to the floor? And why is it that the only time you see these open spaces, is in dressing rooms and bathrooms? Both places you get naked or at least half naked! WTF. When these eyelid kids get busted doing this, the shouldn't be allowed to have a phone with a camera. I realize that would be nearly impossible but we can treat them like drivers that don't have drivers licenses. If they get caught with a phone or camera, lock them up. Something has to be done.
I think the open space is for “safety” precautions. In the event of an emergency or faulty door, there needs to be an alternate escape route.
Also, some people will engage in “other” inappropriate acts, given the opportunity.

In my country, most dressing room doesn't have gaps on the bottom mostly at the top. What's the point of having a gap at the bottom? You can know if someone is in it by the lock.
My friends and I were at Kohl’s at around nine. Some random guy went into the women’s dressing rooms, specifically the one which had my friends stuff including her phone. She got out of the room for a little bit just to show us her outfit. We had to call an employee to get the strange man out and he didn’t seem to know English very well. That whole situation was so creepy.

I think specifically bathrooms and dressing stalls should not have the cracks by the door hinges and a space under the door I feel like that’s the problem and how people see you through the stalls but , if you get stuck in a stall then you don’t have a way to get out. So that’s why there should be a sliding slot that’s a good size for an average size person to get out of under the stall so you can lock the slot with a type of lock that’s easy to access…

He was peeping into all the dressing rooms, and when I confronted him, he claimed he was looking for his daughter, but he walked out of the store by himself. i do not try on clothes in store unless the door goes from the floor to way past standing point for anyone. if the door can be peeked through, over or under i will not try it on. i still buy it if i want it but i try it on at home. if it doesn’t fit or fit how i wanted it to i take it back! i’d rather waste gas and time than be violated! hopefully they can heal from the traumatic situations they were put through
