Welcome back to Drama Central, today on this channel we are going to talk about “ Why Are John & Winston Allies Again In John Wick 4? + John Wick 4: Winston Didn't Try To Kill John In Chapter 3”There might also be another reason for Winston and John being friends again, as John Wick 4 could see Keanu Reeves' hitman come to understand that Winston was in an impossible situation before. The only way Winston could continue to help John moving forward was to "betray" him and re-align himself with the High Table.
Winston has a history of camaraderie with John, and viewers can look back to any one of the previous John Wick movies to see that he sympathizes with John enough to bend the rules - a huge risk given how merciless the guild of assassins is. At the same time, Winston's motivation for helping John may revolve around enlisting his skills to fight back against the High Table. The Continental’s manager plays a risky gambit in continuing to help a man wanted dead all over the world, but due to how often John has conquered insurmountable of odds, the former hitman may be a dependable asset in the future.

I'd say it's obvious that Winston was not intending to kill John. If he wanted to kill Wick, he would have shot him in the head. Winston was maybe 10ft away from Wick and a bullet to the head would be easy for these people. While we've never seen Winston handle a weapon, I can't imagine people in their world aren't at least somewhat skilled.
Soooo, him just shooting john to fall off the roof, making him plum over 100 feet into the pavement, that was just a misdrect?

The only simple answer is Winston is the Father of Helen Wick So it means John is his Son in-law.

I disagree a bit, I expect John understood Winston's situatio. He got back in, only one could and John had the bulletproof suit. So John having an ally inside makes the most sense. With Winston and the Bowery King teaming up this opens the possibilities for John and access information that separate makes no sense
everyone talking about Winston not wanting to kill John, he shot him OFF a hundred plus foot droop to the street, he expected John to die, plain and simple.
