  • Moody Blues - I Know You`re Out There Somewhere
Moody Blues - I Know You`re Out There Somewhere
Moody Blues - I Know You`re Out There Somewhere
Moody Blues - I Know You`re Out There Somewhere
I Know You`re Out There Somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
    Somewhere, somewhere
I know I'll find you somehow
    Somehow, somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
    The mist is lifting slowly
I can see the way ahead
And I've left behind the empty streets
    That once inspired my life
And the strength of the emotion
Is like thunder in the air
'Cos the promise that we made each other
    Haunts me to the end
I know you're out there somewhere
    Somewhere, somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
    Somehow, somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
    The secret of your beauty
And the mystery of your soul
I've been searching for in everyone I meet
And the times I've been mistaken
    It's impossible to say
    And the grass is growing
    Underneath our feet
I know you're out there somewhere
    Somewhere, somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
    Somehow, somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
From the words that I remember
From my childhood still are true
    That there's no so blind
As those who will not see
And to those who lack the courage
And say it's dangerous to try
    Well they just don't know
That love eternal will not be denied
I know you're out there somewhere
    Somewhere, somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
    Somehow, somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
Yes I know it's going to happen
I can feel you getting near
    And soon we'll be returning
To the fountain of our youth
And if you wake up wondering
In the darkness I'll be there
My arms will close around you
And protect you with the truth
I know you're out there somewhere
    Somewhere, somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
    Somehow, somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you

The Moody Blues was my husband's all time favorite band. As he was dying from ALS, this became our song. We know we will find each other one day. We listened to Moody Blues the last few days of his life. It brought us joy, love, and peace. Thank you!

My husband & I loved the Moody Blues - had all their albums - we were original Baby Boomers. He passed away in 2016, and my heart is still crushed. I loved him more than life itself. "In Your Wildest Dreams" was one of our favorites. Heard it last night, and recalled the passion of our youth, and cry for the love that was, and now lost. This song "I know you're out there somewhere" gives me hope I will find my way back to him someday, the Love of my Life, my Soul Mate, once again. Via Con Dios, my one true love

Justin Hayward was cool back in the 60's and he's only gotten better with time...The Moody Blues have been described as the thinking person's rock band and that description fits like a glove. Have loved this band half of forever....timeless perfection.

The days of wine and roses. I am 56; dazed, lost and confused. The music brings me back to a simpler time, a time of love and freedom, a time with no "smart phones", constant fear and oppression. We are now at the end of days, our youth gone, our bodies failing. The music brings me back to the precious time's that can't be stolen. We need to hold those days in our hearts with the Lords blessing. I love you all!

I've loved The Moody Blues from the first time I heard them in about 1968. They give us a terrific combination of graceful symphonic back-up with a rousing rhythm, lively guitars, inspiring lyrics, & a joyous way about them! We should be so thankful to have "The British Invasion"! I went to their show at "The Shnitz" in SW/Downtown Portland, OR in about 2003 .......... ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC! Play on, lads! * Cav in OR *

The MBs will be performing live as well in Atlanta and other US cities, and tickets to these shows are likewise being sold as fund-raising instruments for the public TV stations. Check it out! it's a shame they left out the best verse:
    The words that I remember
From my childhood still are true
    That there's no so blind
As those who will not see
And to those who lack the courage
And say it's dangerous to try

What a voice. Beautiful. I have an old cassette tape with the extended version on it and it brought me to tears. You don't hear it much, but so powerful. Love overcomes all things. Justin you are beautiful! Blessings!

Excelente sonido.

So glad to have their songs on here. Would love to go to a concert soon. Definitely would love to hear this song. It's the one I found the man I now love. May these songs go on forever. And this site and the internet have made a huge difference.

I totally ditto the fact that I lived in that era, the Moody Blues, a group I grooved to so many times and in so many ways. May these days in life somehow live forever...I do not understand now, maybe someday I will.

    JOHN LODGE:
Bass Force Behind The Moody Blues After being a Christian in rock music for 30 years, Lodge says nothing deters his faith.
He claims to be "just a singer in a rock 'n' roll band," yet John Lodge is an unusual figure in pop music. During his 30-plus years in rock music, he's never gotten involved in drugs and has always declined to indulge in the legendary excesses of the music-industry lifestyle. He puts it all down to the Christian faith he adopted in childhood.
"In the '60s we were all looking for something," says Lodge, who helped transform standard British R&B band The Moody Blues into world-class pioneers of symphonic rock, mixing electric guitars with orchestral sounds.
"If you did a gig you'd spend hours afterwards meeting people, talking about religion. I grew up through an evangelical church, and the more I talked to people, the more I realized all the things I'd learned at church were relevant--and what everyone was looking for. I was thinking, Just a moment, I think I've got that!
"That's really when I started to find an inner strength," Lodge told Charisma. "The '60s was a crazy time in rock 'n' roll, and you could have really gone to extremes in everything. But I found I had this inner strength that seemed to see me through a lot of things."
Born in 1945, Lodge attended Sunday school regularly as a child at Birches Green Evangelical Church in Birmingham, England. Lodge described the church as "quite fundamentalist," but there was freedom to ask questions.
"What it made me do was try to understand what the Bible was about--not organized religion--and what strengths you could gain from [the Bible]," he says.
The spiritual foundation proved its worth later in life when Lodge played bass for the Moody Blues. "Some things would come along--the excesses--and I'd question them and say this can't be right."
Lodge recalls one bizarre episode when he spoke with a Detroit pastor in a hotel room, while more than 100 people partied around them after a concert. "I remember us talking about Christianity amid this party, and I said to him, 'Isn't this strange?'"
It was a picture of his life: a nice, clean, Sunday school boy right in the middle of the dirty business of rock 'n' roll. Yet Lodge managed to make it work.
On one occasion, about 10 years ago, Lodge lost the strength in his arms.
"I ended up in the hospital," he says, "and they were bringing all these different people to try and find out what was wrong, but they couldn't find out."
Deeply troubled by this, his family contacted longtime friend and charismatic church leader Gerald Coates. "He got his whole church to pray for me," Lodge recalls. "That same day was the turning point. I started to feel better."
The incident had an impact on Kirsten--his wife of 32 years--and on his daughter, Emily, and his son, Kristian. "Everyone got strength from it," he says.

I feel that if you search deep within your heart you'll find your daughter there, and she's sending you an innocent smile . God must have had very special plans for your daughter to have received her at such a precious age. A spiritual connection will happen and you will then be able to hear her voice.

Finally saw them twice in 2007 in Sacramento and then in Reno and my love for this group is still as strong as it was in the 1960's. Fond memories of a first love all wrapped up in this song but having been married to my beautiful husband for 34 years so glad he appreciates this group and all of my memories too

Heard this song last night for the first time - live! The Moody Blues in San Jose Civic Center - wonderful concert. I knew a lot of their earlier material, but this one was new to me. Hearing their music live after 40 years of enjoying the recordings was a beautiful, uplifting experience.

We saw the Moody Blues back in 1988- during the "Sur La Mer" tour. It was an incredible show- and a few weeks later, I found out I was pregnant with my son. We named him eKevin, but Justin was our second choice! Love the Moody Blues!
