Recovering from a strained muscle in my hip. Not much fun for the last 2 weeks. I carefully got out of the bath and thought I must be feeling better I want to listen to the Moody Blues.
The man I was with 45yrs ago said I reminded him of the girl in video and one day he would find me and today were together, I am 65 now ... thanks to FB he found me ✌️❤️

I send a note to her, and wait a month(I wasn't sure if the address was right). I'll never the night I got that first text. So we were texting back and forth, and I ask about my sister, Veronica. The best band ever!!!!! They are in a orbit of there own!!!! My God, Justin's voice is like angels singing!!! Finally they are The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!! ❤❤❤❤...💙💙💙💙💙.....

I finally saw the Moody Blues my favorite band since 1967 in Portland,Or on Oct. 21st. The place was packed! (Thousands) Justin and John sang this song! So beautiful! Grahame was there as well! Everyone was so taken that we clapped until they came back out and played some more. Justin still has a beautiful voice, and his guitar playing is beyond words. (John too!) It was a night to remember! It was an older crowd for the most part. I am older as well but look a lot younger. Justin took time to look out into the crowd. Iwas about 9-10 rows up. I was jumping up and down and waving. He saw me pointed, looked directly at me and said; "I see you!" My heart melted! Enough said, they are wonderful!
I was at that show too in the Orchestra A section. They were stellar beyond words and I had to keep myself from crying. The whole time I couldn't believe I was there!!!
Margie Stearns Lo Rider> I am sorry you misunderstood. I saw the Moody Blues over a year ago on Oct. 21st and they sang "I Know You're Out There Somewhere", and they were just glorious! Since then Justin came to town in June of last year alone to promote his "Spirits of the Western Sky" album. He was so wonderful! He played and sang for almost 3 hrs.! The Moody Blues came again to Portland this April 24th! They were unbelievable! The 1967 time frame was just to relate to you that they have been my favorite band since "Nights In White Satin" in 1967 when I was 17 years old! I missed to many years of their concerts & will not miss another until I pass on myself. My other favorite band the Bee Gees I have loved since the same year. They used to come to Portland all the time. I was always too busy. Now the only one of the family still alive is Barry. I will not make that mistake again! (Life is to short & precious!)Especially when the Moody Blues had such an influence on my life as a young girl and really helped to mold me into the person I am now. (Which I believe came out well!) I don't take any of those I care about for granted! Just wanted to straighten it up! Thanks for writing!
I love this song. Used to always make me think of my high school sweetheart, a woman whom I thought I would never see, again. I did see her, again, though. And I married her. :)
I know you're out there somewhere Somewhere, somewhere I know I'll find you somehow And somehow I'll return again to you The mist is lifting slowly I can see the way ahead And I've left behind the empty streets That once inspired my life And the strength of the emotion Is like thunder in the air 'Cause the promise that we made each other Haunts me to the end I know you're out there somewhere Somewhere, somewhere I know you're out there somewhere Somewhere you can hear my voice I know I'll find you somehow Somehow, somehow I know I'll find you somehow And somehow I'll return again to you The secret of your beauty and the mystery of your soul I've been searching for in everyone I meet And the times I've been mistaken, it's impossible to say And the grass is growing underneath our feet I know you're out there somewhere Somewhere, somewhere I know you're out there somewhere Somewhere you can hear my voice I know I'll find you somehow Somehow, somehow I know I'll find you somehow And somehow I'll return again to you I know you're out there somewhere Yes, I know you're out there somewhere Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah Yes, I know it's going to happen I can feel you getting near And soon we'll be returning To the fountain of our youth And if you wake up wondering In the darkness I'll be there My arms will close around you And protect you with the truth I know you're out there somewhere Somewhere, somewhere I know you're out there somewhere Somewhere you can hear my voice I know I'll find you somehow Somehow, somehow I know I'll find you somehow And somehow I'll return again to you Songwriter: Justin Hayward
I've been fans of this video, as well as In Your Wildest Dreams for a long time. I wonder what the actors playing in the flashbacks are up to these days
I was so thankful that I saw them in concert here in VB back in 1999, I believe.. It was THE BEST CONCERT that I have ever been too in my life....their music is soothing to me and I can listen to them every day and I mean everyday.....I'm sorry that Ray and now Graeme has passed away..it hurts my heart..THE MOODY BLUES ARE A CLASS ACT , always have been..
I first heard this song back in 1988 when me my mom along with my niece and nephew got here in America for the first time. 1988 is wonderful year for all of us and lots of great memories.🤗🤗🤗
This song is perfect for you because it's about finding your love in this life, the next and everyone after that. Being with one person longer than every other on combined is a rarity in this day and age many people envy you for finding true love
My Dad loved them, and I think he saw them play few times in the local club, when he was young. He's been gone 13 years. I just looked them up, bit emotional.n seem to still remember most the words 😂
It really is a Dreamy Tune that captures your heart with wunderlust which the Moody Blues always capture perfectly!!!!Very Sorry about your Dad but you know this music will always be constant as is your Love for him!
I'm a Widower. My wife died young. She's still my one & only. Though this song puts me in tears, I never turn it off. I know we'll meet again, & that will be a happy day. Until then, this is an anthem, of sorts, for me. Awesome Song!!!
In my opinion the Moody Blues are one of the greatest and least appreciated of the British Invasion bands. Their music evokes memories in everyone who hears it. Great composers, great lyric, great performers.
@William Styers And they were all great guys, too. Working in radio in the 80s, I had the honour of being able to spend time with them whenever they were in our region.
@@marvinhighley3444 I think it has something to do with the fact that it took the rock hall soooooo long to finally induct the moody blues into the rock hall and frankly that was a shame. Having said that there's more people that are more deserving to be there even now.
sure as hell way better than the Beatles - you want music in its finest - The Moody Blues was just a little to instrumental for the average listener. They are the Beethoven of modern music. The average person likes garbage like Aerosmith and that ilk. To few brain cells is the reason
In 1996 I was working all night at the hospital where I was working at the time, when this song came on on the oldies station. I was alone and felt somewhat lost at the time. This song inspired me to look up my first love. She was alone as well. We enjoyed 15 wonderful years together before cancer took her from me. So I am still living by the words of this song.
Ted Griffiths Sorry to hear about your loss.BUT so glad you took the step to go out and find a lost love. Man what a great feeling I bet that was to rekindle your love for one another and end up with each other for 15 more years. I can only imagine the feelings you two had for each other.
It was my privilege to surprise my MoodyBlues loving Dad with one of their concerts. They were old men by then and played with a mastery that I’ve never seen before or since. My Dad enjoyed it so much. R.I.P. Dad
I saw them a few years ago... and they were absolutely amazing. Damn near what you would hear an album. They made me smile and cry such beautiful tears. They will always be my favorite. ♡
I'm 16. The worst thing about the moody blues is having to pick a best song of their's cause it's just impossible. Probably at some point this was my favorite but right now it's "Your wildest dreams". They just have a track record that's unparalleled and it's a shame that you almost never see any of their songs ranked as one of the best of all time or even see them ranked as one of the best bands of all time. You guys (speaking to 50's/60's/70's kids) were lucky to grow up with these geniuses while they were actually making these. Just such a legendary group.
I grew up in the 80s as a small child listening to my father play these songs. It always takes me back to those carefree days. I miss him and I always see him smiling and singing when I hear the moody blues.
It's been 45years last time I was with my first love, I found her last year, we are in our 60s now and are happy we found each other, this is the perfect song for us thanks.
Met the girl of my dreams in 1967…we were HS classmates …didn’t date as BF-GF but were great friends.. We both went our separate ways after high school…colleges and military… I always looked for her at class reunions…51 years later God brought her back into my life. We married and I am the happiest I have been in a very long time. We played and danced to this song at our wedding…. The Moody Blues are one of the very best rock and roll bands ever.
I have several of their vinyl albums. I'm 65. My son bought me a record player for Christmas. I have 2000 albums. I lost my stereo in a move. Now I can play them. Thanks Tim.
I have the best of and I programmed it on my Apple/Itunes Catallgue. It just goes to prove that no matter how much you love someone, there's no guarantee that you will be together forever. Remember Paul McCartney he dated a lady named Jane but then after they broke up, he met American Photographer Linda Eastman the hieress to the Eastman/Kodak Empire.
This song is so powerful! I met the love of my life in 1996. We eventually fell in love. We broke up in 2002 and it was the absolute lowest point of my life! We were out of each other's lives for 8 long years. I thought of her every day! She eventually ended up in a dead end marriage and only stayed married for her kids. I myself had a messy failed engagement, and one dead end relationship after another. We reconnected in 2010 and fell in love all over again. Fast forward to 2020. We are still together and going strong. This song was my inspiration to never give up on true love! Antonietta I love you! The message here is never give up on love! If it feels right it's because it is! In the end guys love conquers all! We are living proof of that! Never give up! Fight for the one you love! I sure did!
So you're her children's step-father? Thats great that you reconnected. I actually met the most important person in my life in 02(When I was born). She was the older sister I never had(She's 12 years older). I was put in foster care at 6 weeks old, and her family took care of me from then til the day before I turned 2. We stayed in contact for 9 years after(2013), but then lost contact. 7 years later I looked her up online, found 3 phone numbers an email and a house address. 3 wrong numbers, a wrong email, and a letter sent I got my response. She has 3 young children and was going through a divorce. Now I'm the uncle of her children, and have called her frequently. I takes one note to completely change your life Don't give up that chance. Thats what I get from this song(and Your Wildest Dreams).
Great story Scott, I am in the same boat and understand exactly what you mean. Her and I have chatted now and then and a piece of my heart belongs to BK. I am now 63 and her 62 but when we were 16 and 17 what a ride!! Love ya BK
My Son was Born in 1987 and I Named him After Justin Haywood, I have been a Fan Moody Blues fan since 1969, Thanks Justin I will always love your music
I too have an eldest child who goes by the name, Justin. This fall he will be 47. I think I have talked him into traveling with me to see Justin Hayward this year. There was a time I was also considering Hayward as a middle name. I shared this information in more detail these past few years. He thanked me for my choice of Justin for his first name. He also said Hayward would have been a nice middle name. What a great kid I have!!
We had each other in1969 for a year. Her parents came between us. 2024 now. Always thought we would see each other. Found out recently she is no longer on this planet. Sad times. Never a day gone by when I didn't think about her.
This song always reminded me of my high school sweetheart. We reconnected after 47 years--the love for each other was still strong. We're married now and are happily living and loving!
I married my college sweetheart in 1973 and through a series of unfortunate events, we split after less than two years. My heart was shattered, but it made me a much better person. And, I learned that true love never dies. Fast forward 43 years: we reconnected and with 7 children and 16 grandkids between us, we were remarried in 2016!! As long as I breathe I will love her!!
I guess it was just this side of the pond then. Personally for me, they are utterly brilliant, and Justin is from my home town just to add to my bias 👍👍

I never paid much attention to the Moody Blues. After my husband passed away, when I went to pickup his death certificate, I stopped at a bbq restaurant afterwards and they were playing this song. Also, when I went to the bank to take him off my accts, while the rep went to make copies, I heard this song playing again. Both were very difficult things i I had to do. I felt like it was him comforting my pain. He’s out there somewhere…❤
Lost my girl when she moved to Florida at the end of High School. Took some time and some bad years alone but I got her back and we have been married 27 years now. This song and Your Wildest Dreams helped when help was needed the worst. Thanks MB!
@Marty McFly II at first I thought it was John Lodge because he’s the one who grabs the bass at the guitar store however later it looks John and Justin are best buds so I think but it’s just my speculation that it could be a reference to the Moodies first singer Denny Laine. If you look him up in his younger years the actor looks almost identical to a young Denny. But that’s up for debate
Always wondered if there was a connection between this and Wildest Dreams. Watching the two vids back to back has reduced me to silent tears. I think it was Bob Segar that sang "I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then". True word.
Moody Blues are one of the finest bands ever! Shocked that it took so long for HOF induction. They should have been inaugural, or near, members. Anybody agree?
Dad, why didn’t I appreciate this music with you ? Why is this hitting me like a dart to the heart ? What I wouldn’t give to be with you in your truck listening to the Moody Blues. 💔. I miss you and now I understand this song. RIP!
Absolutely brilliant song. Wish I can hear things like this on the radio again rather than the Top 40 tripe we currently have today. No "sexy" backup dancers, no mediocre lead singers being half-naked or posing nude every damn time, all I need is just the singer/s and their voice/s. Take me back.
My daddy died 2 weeks ago, and loved the moody blues. He would put wildest dreams on when I started wailing crying as a baby and would have my smiling by the end. I can’t get this album out my head since he passed, and I miss him dearly. I love you dad. ❤👽
I used to listen to this as a lonely (nerdy) teenager. Found myself & my confidence after leaving high school (hell) & met the man of my dreams in a love-at-first-sight moment. I found him. Still married 25 yrs later. ❤️
40 years after leaving the only girl I have ever truly loved, we were young and our lives moved in different directions. Out of the blue I got a text. It was the most unbelievable thrill , all my Christmases had come at once, we met she was still the girl of my dreams, I was in heaven, this song was playing, we parted with a magic kiss. After all that time it like it was pure magic. I still love her now, but we didn't make. We haven't met again. I only in another 40 years we will meet again, in heaven as surely that is where she will be waiting for me. I love you Lesley.
This song holds very dear to my deceased fiance and I (one month since his passing). It contains a lot of hidden meaning and special memories for both of us! Love you Steve!
Oh my - sorry to say I share your loss and your pain. My Marsha and I so enjoyed both "Your Wildest Dreams" and this song, which seems to 'bookend' it; she went off-planet unexpectedly 7 months ago. Marsha I know you're out there and that my Grandmom is taking good care of you - I'm never giving up - and somewhere I will return to you. Until we're reunited, we'll have the ultimate long-distance relationship
Thanks to all for the sincere wishes! It's been over a year now since my blessed Steve's passing, am glad I got to sing this song to him before Jesus greeted him!
I know how that feels but for me it was only twenty five years. How can something so perfect just slip by and then the rest of your life is not even half as nice as it was. Not even half.
40 years later, the love of my life and I have reconnected because someone had the nerve to roll the dice, search for a phone number and pick up the phone and call. I'll see him next month. Married? - yes. Risky? - likely. Worth taking the risk? absolutely.

Everybody's always talking about the staying power of the Rolling Stones (how they're 'the world's greatest rock n roll band), for my money, the Stones suck mildly. The Moody Blues are a much better band (and without Mick Jagger's drama), just Justin Hayward's song writing genius.
Doug Patriot well stated... I'd be honored if some fans of classic 80s ballads would check out my acoustic piano & vocal covers of AGAINST ALL ODDS by Phil Collins and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael on my channel in tribute to the legends. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and peace.
God Bless The Rollling Stones, 56 years together and STILL GOING STRONG !! Idiot....The Stones were and always WILL be the Greatest Rock And Roll Band In The World. What drama ?? I love the Moody Blues, but they won't ever be as great as the Rolling Stones ! So quit your Goddamn whining. MORON.
Why? Because real music is timeless. This is real music, played by real people with real talent, with lyrics that actually make sense and invoke real feelings.
This song reminds me of my story. I met this boy in school and fell for him at first sight, at the age of 10. I kept it a secret. We never talked and never saw each other, again, after we turned 18 and graduated, but he was always in the back of my mind, for 35 yrs., me always wondering where he ended up. We reconnected almost 3 yrs ago and have been together since.
The reason they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the tone deaf a$$holes that vote only hear $hit these days and don't know what good music is anymore.
I would prefer they never got in to the Rock Hall of Fame. As far as I'm concerned they are overqualified. More talent by themselves than all the other inductees combined (Elvis excluded. Sorry. Still an Elvis fan)
I love this song. I got reaquainted with a man i had a crush on in high school. Weve been together for the last 10 years. This song means so much to me
In an interview with Paul Harris, Justin Hayward said this song is about trying to find out what happened to your first love: "I think it just was one of those things where everyone wants to know what happened to the first person they ever really loved. Best not to find out. Best to leave it as a nice memory."
+CrankCase08 Better to know. As long as she`s happy. Life is too short for regrets I`m in Colorado. The best place to see the moody blues. Live at red rocks.
My Tammy Marie passed away from cancer 21 months ago. Still, at times, ill be driving along St. Charles avenue in New Orleans and see a girl with long curly auburn hair getting on the street car and catch my breathe. I know you're out there somewhere
My Avril left here in 1971 Aged just twenty two. It's been forty three years. I have loved and missed you every single second of my life. One day soon I will meet my beautiful soul mate again. Just to see the smile in your eyes. I know you're out there somewhere. I love you xxx
I’ve seen their concerts in Cali and Vegas a long time ago. It was a surreal experience that I’ll never forget. I adore that group. I’m 68 now. Still love that music it’s timeless.
I still remember the very first time I ever heard this song in 1988. I can't think of another song that has impacted me as much as this one. I was 11 years old on an airplane flying from Miami to Toronto. During the flight they played the song several times and I absolutely fell in love with it. The lyrics were so beautiful and felt so meaningful to me. They still do. The melody has haunted my dreams ever since then. At 11 years old it made me think of my "one true love" and that he was out there somewhere and somehow, someday we would find each other. Thank you for such beautiful music. 🎶❤🥰😊
My parents listened to this era Moody Blues as well as their live album at Red Rocks constantly when I was growing up. It's very nostalgic for me for that reason, but it's incredible music regardless.
Grand Funk is Tricky Very sucessful American Band and I think Closer to Home is a Rock Gem so Underated. American Band is the bands Led Zepplin Rock & Roll. Most played catch song. But Not a huge influence Band. Had Many Covers. Problem!!! Huge in the 70s But Unlike other bands of the Era Seemed to Dissapear. Fellow Detroit Rockers are Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent seem more Popular now. Grand Funk fans also dont seem as loyal as chicago Purple Moody yes etc. I think there a HOF band but will have wait even longer. Moody Yes Elo Judas Priest and others will have to get in 1st
The Moody Blues is a group that I will always hold special in my heart. Loved them since I was 5 years old since my mom loved them and seen them in concert 3x.
100 years from now someone will look back at the 70s and 80s and realize they were one of the most coolest times in history
You so right history
I'd say mid 60's to early 80's but the Moody's are timeless & thus fit into ever ear of mankind. The Moddy's will be relevant in 100,000 years.
Recovering from a strained muscle in my hip. Not much fun for the last 2 weeks. I carefully got out of the bath and thought I must be feeling better I want to listen to the Moody Blues.

This is a great group from the 1960's
And the best era of good music and still listening to this music in July of 2024

You certainly are not.
I do

Been there, done that. Big mistake

We've been dead since 2010.
It does. But that makes me wish I was dead. I lost her and I'm the only one to blame.

How very special!
This song plays at the drug emporium in Tyler, Texas……….A LOT…………..… and I FINALLY LOOKED IT UP! ❤
this song could be a great inspiration for a movie
Loved the song since I first heard it in '71. Loved this band...revolutionary at the time.
It came out in 88
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
The mist is lifting slowly
I can see the way ahead
And I've left behind the empty streets
That once inspired my life
And the strength of the emotion
Is like thunder in the air
'Cause the promise that we made each other
Haunts me to the end
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
Somehow, somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
The secret of your beauty and the mystery of your soul
I've been searching for in everyone I meet
And the times I've been mistaken, it's impossible to say
And the grass is growing underneath our feet
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
Somehow, somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
I know you're out there somewhere
Yes, I know you're out there somewhere
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yes, I know it's going to happen
I can feel you getting near
And soon we'll be returning
To the fountain of our youth
And if you wake up wondering
In the darkness I'll be there
My arms will close around you
And protect you with the truth
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
Somehow, somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you
Songwriter: Justin Hayward
This song breaks me up every time I hear it.
They found each other in this video. It feels like a love story with this song video.
Love th moody blues since th 60s
I still listen to and love the Moody Blues, since 1974, when our Senior Prom song was "Nights in White Satin."
Great lyrics lead singer so cute
I first heard this song back in 1988 when me my mom along with my niece and nephew got here in America for the first time. 1988 is wonderful year for all of us and lots of great memories.🤗🤗🤗
Incredible music
Somewhere in London 😍
Makes me cry
I’ll watch this right after IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS.
I lost my Big Brother in 2022. I know he's out there somewhere and when I pass away,, (YT your censorship is insane) I am going to find him.
Same here, year and loss (younger brother). They're out there waiting...
I'm hoping this means that it was a happy ending after all.
That teenage kid could be Justin Heyward's son... looks a lot like him...
do you know what love is
Liesten ! Liesten ! Liesten ! Its your young years
Dunno if I like seeing the moody blues doing these music videos. Doesn't do them justice I think

I’m a widow. Lost my soul mate last November. We met when I was 20. I’m 64 and heartbroken. Forever. I will return to Henry…and I will, find him.. 💔😢
I am sorry that you lost him on this earth. You will find him on the other side... Peace & love
This song is perfect for you because it's about finding your love in this life, the next and everyone after that. Being with one person longer than every other on combined is a rarity in this day and age many people envy you for finding true love
And I certainly hope that you do , on the meantime , hope you have found happiness again 💯💃👍 from Carolina beach
My soul aches for you. I found mine once too. Living without them is not easy.

This song is my favorite song frome the Moody Blues. Who out there listening to this wonderful song 2024 ?❤😊
My Dad loved them, and I think he saw them play few times in the local club, when he was young. He's been gone 13 years. I just looked them up, bit emotional.n seem to still remember most the words 😂
at least 50 times a year. just listened to the pre-curser to this one. In your wildest dreams.
In your wildest dreams great song
It really is a Dreamy Tune that captures your heart with wunderlust which the Moody Blues always capture perfectly!!!!Very Sorry about your Dad but you know this music will always be constant as is your Love for him!

I'm a Widower. My wife died young. She's still my one & only. Though this song puts me in tears, I never turn it off. I know we'll meet again, & that will be a happy day. Until then, this is an anthem, of sorts, for me. Awesome Song!!!

She's always with you 🥀

In my opinion the Moody Blues are one of the greatest and least appreciated of the British Invasion bands. Their music evokes memories in everyone who hears it. Great composers, great lyric, great performers.
@William Styers And they were all great guys, too. Working in radio in the 80s, I had the honour of being able to spend time with them whenever they were in our region.
Least appreciated? Where have you been the last 55 years? They are legends.
It took far too long for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to realize that. (Mind you, they think Tupac is Rock n Roll.)
Ted Griffiths Oooh,I feel for you. sir.
Sorry for your loss. Glad to see you will have these memories.
Ted Griffiths Sorry to hear about your loss.BUT so glad you took the step to go out and find a lost love. Man what a great feeling I bet that was to rekindle your love for one another and end up with each other for 15 more years. I can only imagine the feelings you two had for each other.
Great story about lost love. Glad you had those years together.
Thanx for your story. You are an inspiration.!!
It was my privilege to surprise my MoodyBlues loving Dad with one of their concerts. They were old men by then and played with a mastery that I’ve never seen before or since. My Dad enjoyed it so much. R.I.P. Dad
@Jaden Boys I’m sorry for your loss
I saw them a few years ago... and they were absolutely amazing. Damn near what you would hear an album. They made me smile and cry such beautiful tears. They will always be my favorite. ♡
How Awesome for your Dad!
I saw them at a Beautiful outdoor venue...🥰
@Jaden Boys I'm sorry for your loss dear...🙏
I miss my dad too. HUgs
I miss him and I always see him smiling and singing when I hear the moody blues.
been listening to them since 1967....enjoy...
i am impressed at 16 you love this! Kudos! i love the 1950s-1990s but this music i never get tired of!!!!!
@@aaronvail3962 Well I mean I'm 17 now lol but yeah this group had something special going for sure.

While other bands were voicing the rage of a generation ...
The Moody Blues spoke to our hopes and dreams .
They still do

Totally agree..🎶💫
Well said! I was just thinking the same but didn't know how to express it.
Spot on
Man, did you nail it!
Anyone here in June 2024?
Yep....
Still listening to them after all these years.
Yes 🙋♀️
No, just you!
Love this song.
Met the girl of my dreams in 1967…we were HS classmates …didn’t date as BF-GF but were great friends..
We both went our separate ways after high school…colleges and military…
I always looked for her at class reunions…51 years later God brought her back into my life.
We married and I am the happiest I have been in a very long time.
We played and danced to this song at our wedding….
The Moody Blues are one of the very best rock and roll bands ever.
Wow
You win the Internet
My gosh man, that's a great story. Bravo!
Came here for the fake, made up on the spot, comment.
well this world can use a feel good story so happy for u both
This was our song! After being apart for 55 years, we made it back to each other.
Class 👍
❤❤❤
Possibly the most underated group in Briitsh pop........... personally, I thought they were brilliant.
Me too
And I would agree with both of you…. Some of the best music ever written…
I have several of their vinyl albums.
I'm 65.
My son bought me a record player for Christmas.
I have 2000 albums.
I lost my stereo in a move.
Now I can play them.
Thanks Tim.
2000 albums “wow” vinyl revival time …
Well done you and well done Tim 👍
First album I put on that new turntable is Every Good Boy Deserves Favour.
Followed of course by Days of Future Past
ahw what a kid ha....you definitely did somethin' right!!!!
“woukd u know how old u are ? if u didn’t know the year u were born.”?-Toby Keith
We all need to hear about things like this
I am happy for you! That is a beautiful story! I wish you both all the best.
Great story Scott, I am in the same boat and understand exactly what you mean. Her and I have chatted now and then and a piece of my heart belongs to BK. I am now 63 and her 62 but when we were 16 and 17 what a ride!! Love ya BK
Oh man you are so looking, I'm still searching for that lost love from my past.

Wow 47 years, all respect to you guys. God bless.

Agree with you ✌🏻💖
I know too
Moody Blues IS Magic!
The Moody Blues are likely one of the most underrated bands of all time. Such talent!
Oh no, here in America, we always knew they were a superior UK band.
In the '80s we considered them the "best" band remaining from the '60s, so I don't know how underrated they were then...maybe now.
@@Nick-wn1xw very true on this one , moody blues TOTALLY UNDERRATED
I guess it was just this side of the pond then. Personally for me, they are utterly brilliant, and Justin is from my home town just to add to my bias 👍👍

I'm not overly emotional but this song always brings a tear to my eye. Reminds me of friends and family that have past on.
I believe we all have someone out there somewhere. Hope springs eternal.
@@allenblum6257 that's very true i believe that allen.
The Bible says and in that day all tears will be dried, no more separation from those we've loved, and even death will be defeated. I'm betting on it.
Lost my girl when she moved to Florida at the end of High School. Took some time and some bad years alone but I got her back and we have been married 27 years now. This song and Your Wildest Dreams helped when help was needed the worst. Thanks MB!
Gene M this is awesome, congratulations
WOW, GREAT STORY, BUDDY! 🥂🥂
thats great brother i hope mine comes back
Awesome!
Wow congratulations man!
A great sequel to “Your Wildest Dreams”. Glad he finally had her back.
True word.
I'm here 2021
Moody Blues are one of the finest bands ever! Shocked that it took so long for HOF induction. They should have been inaugural, or near, members. Anybody agree?
@Marty McFly II Thanks for asking this....I've always wondered why they put that 'side story' into that video.
Dad, why didn’t I appreciate this music with you ? Why is this hitting me like a dart to the heart ? What I wouldn’t give to be with you in your truck listening to the Moody Blues. 💔. I miss you and now I understand this song. RIP!
at the time,we were invicible, protected by our shell, now time as passing by,,our heart's open up,then we realize the precious time we lost with them.
The music of the 80's was so magical. This is one of the best examples of that.
I know your out there Kathy, I hope to see you in heaven, it's been 30 years and I will never forget you. You were the love of my life.
+scotty krass Amen Bro. My loves name is Janet...Good luck my brother and God Speed...I know and feel your pain since 1968...I still hope and pray...

Thats so sweet, I know my first love is out there somewhere too, you know who you are. x
all the best to you Scotty!
Thanks
This song is my favorite of the Moody Blues. A great song. Love this band. They are one of a kind. No one can match them.
I am 73 years old and this is my favorite band
Absolutely brilliant song. Wish I can hear things like this on the radio again rather than the Top 40 tripe we currently have today. No "sexy" backup dancers, no mediocre lead singers being half-naked or posing nude every damn time, all I need is just the singer/s and their voice/s. Take me back.
Very well said.
Sadly the lead singer was convicted of selling narcotics to grade schoolers.
The Voice, Your Wildest Dreams and I Know youre Out There Somewhere what a great triology.
Add Knights in White Satin and I don't care what cards you're holding, I'll play that hand.
My daddy died 2 weeks ago, and loved the moody blues. He would put wildest dreams on when I started wailing crying as a baby and would have my smiling by the end. I can’t get this album out my head since he passed, and I miss him dearly. I love you dad. ❤👽
Condolences for your loss. Remember that there is a part of him that will always be with you.
My condolences.
I am so sorry for your loss. May his memory live through you and all you do in his name . 🥲
I'm younger
I'll look for Wildest Dreams. 🙋
I used to listen to this as a lonely (nerdy) teenager.
Found myself & my confidence after leaving high school (hell) & met the man of my dreams in a love-at-first-sight moment.
I found him. Still married 25 yrs later. ❤️
Aww that's lovely :) This song reminds me of the one who got away back in high school. He didn't want to 'get away', I was just very stupid :(

great band not appreciated as much as they should be. They were so ahead of their time. great music never dies it just gets better with time passage.
I am so jealous......
💔
still the girl of my dreams.......great start for a song.....
you're sure you're going to heaven?
This song holds very dear to my deceased fiance and I (one month since his passing). It contains a lot of hidden meaning and special memories for both of us! Love you Steve!
Please accept my deepest condolences.
How sad. Im so very sorry.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Thanks to all for the sincere wishes! It's been over a year now since my blessed Steve's passing, am glad I got to sing this song to him before Jesus greeted him!
I let someone go and i still regret it 40 years later
I know how that feels but for me it was only twenty five years. How can something so perfect just slip by and then the rest of your life is not even half as nice as it was. Not even half.
I've list someone like her, in the past 15 years. She's still out there, but out of touch in so many ways.
35 years ago next month.......I still to this day, wonder, what if???
40 years later, the love of my life and I have reconnected because someone had the nerve to roll the dice, search for a phone number and pick up the phone and call. I'll see him next month. Married? - yes. Risky? - likely. Worth taking the risk? absolutely.
It's been a month, how'd it go Pam?!
Me looking for my will to live. "I know you're out there, somewhere..."

Everybody's always talking about the staying power of the Rolling Stones (how they're 'the world's greatest rock n roll band), for my money, the Stones suck mildly. The Moody Blues are a much better band (and without Mick Jagger's drama), just Justin Hayward's song writing genius.
4 Years ans still the same felling and belief
Possibly the most talented group of musicians ever assembled in a rock group.
Doug Patriot follow your gut instincts a person once told me
Doug Patriot well stated...
MORON.
Why is Moody Blues ALWAYS SO Mesmerizing, like falling into a different universe & never wanting to leave?
Best description I think I've heard.
Why? Because real music is timeless. This is real music, played by real people with real talent, with lyrics that actually make sense and invoke real feelings.
Wow.

REST IN PEACE RAY THOMAS....WE KNOW YOUR OUT THERE....
The reason they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the tone deaf a$$holes that vote only hear $hit these days and don't know what good music is anymore.
+kimberly morrison you are so correct!
+Patty Pederson Thanks Patty Maybe we should start a protest so those idiots might change their stupid minds lol.
Well worded. I agree with you.
you're absolutely right
Kathy
I would prefer they never got in to the Rock Hall of Fame. As far as I'm concerned they are overqualified. More talent by themselves than all the other inductees combined (Elvis excluded. Sorry. Still an Elvis fan)
They finally made the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Way over due!
I know, I know, should've been a long time ago. I voted...whenever I could...
Far better late than never.
Way, way overdue...
They should have been inducted in the '90's?
it's always the best & underrated performers who take the longest.
I've always loved this song. For me, it was true, my "someone" was out there. My wife and I are celebrating 37 years of marriage next week.
Terrific

I love this song. I got reaquainted with a man i had a crush on in high school. Weve been together for the last 10 years. This song means so much to me
I invariably get goosebumps whenever I listen to this. It's a masterpiece.
Incomparable heard live in concert.
One of Justin's top faves to play.
Goosebumps or tears.
This is one of my psalms to YAHUAH, the source of all!
I’ve probably been to over a hundred different concerts over the years and they were by far the best live.
Saw them 3 times. Absolutely the best with an orchestra
In an interview with Paul Harris, Justin Hayward said this song is about trying to find out what happened to your first love: "I think it just was one of those things where everyone wants to know what happened to the first person they ever really loved. Best not to find out. Best to leave it as a nice memory."
wise words.

Amazing just so many wonderful comments and I agree what a song and what a band
My parents listened to this era Moody Blues as well as their live album at Red Rocks constantly when I was growing up. It's very nostalgic for me for that reason, but it's incredible music regardless.
A simple question. Why are they not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
+Tom best late 60s bands not in Hall Moody Blues Chicago Deep Purple Yes all Started in the 60s
+Tom got me.
+Tom Are you shitting me?
+Tom Because they're the steeple of the "hall".
The Sixties, Seventies and Eighties the Moodys RULED! One of my Ultimate Favorite Bands Ever!
The Moody Blues is a group that I will always hold special in my heart. Loved them since I was 5 years old since my mom loved them and seen them in concert 3x.
How were the concerts?
Its 2019 and this is still being played every where. Long live the Moody Blues.
Not much here in the UK but i always play all the songs on yt!
@OneManArmy l I hear this frequently in the grocery store. I used to hear "No More Lies" once in while, too.
I havent heard a Moodies song on the radio at least since 2013 when Alice Cooper played one on his show on Mike Pinder's Birthday

This is soo romantic ... Confess your tears were dropping on your keyboard! Regrettable who has not had a love like this!
I once had a love like this. She betrayed me. I will never forget what we once shared befor it all went bad until I die, and I often wish I could.
I m drowning in my own tears.
