Beautiful salzburg❤. Its my second home, ive been there so often that i can walk the streets blindfolded and i can name most of the mountains near it. Even been on many of them! Greetings from the Netherlands
:) Glad you have such nice memories!
Greetings from Colorado. Another fantastic video! Once people start traveling again your channel will be a great resource for Bavarian adventures. I'm hoping to move out there in the next few years and these videos are great motivation to make that happen. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much. Hope you make it out here! it's wonderful. :D
Hi… I live in Salzburg, you had a. great video content, I also created some videos here in Salzburg Austria and I must say u had a great skills.. love it
Thanks so much! I just checked out some of your videos. They're cool! Can't wait to try out some of your trips!
Awesome, been waiting for more videos! Love your stuff!
Awesome. Thanks so much! You are in luck. In the last 2 months that lockdown has been lifted, we have accrued around 7 videos in our backlog. 😅
Nice! :-)
Since there were no savoury recommendations: we usually visit Bärenwirt, and of course if it's open THE Salzburg institution: Augustiner Bräu in Mülln monastery.
And of course not only original Mozartkugel can be found in Salzburg, but also the original Bosna hot dog. ;-)
Oh really? I have never heard of these. We will probably go back with family June 2022, so we will check them out! Thanks!!
@@NearFromHome Very difficult to believe that you didn't include Augustiner Brau. I thought you were a beer fan?
Awesome type of travel vlog, good information, relaxed atmosphere, taking us along the journey
Thanks so much!! 🥰
I've been to Salzburg several times already, but I learned new places to go !
Great content, keep it up !! :)
Thanks mate! Glad I could show you a few recommendations :) and if you learnt a few new places in this video then get excited for the rest of the series! As I learnt a ton while filming.
Yesterday I made a daily visit to Salzburg from München. With the help of your guidance, I had a pretty nice day...
Glad you had a nice time! 🥰
Any tips for which trains are best? Bus?
Thanks, I'm wanting to do a trip to Salzburg from Munich. you gave me a lot of good ideas
🥰 glad to hear it. Thanks so much!!
wonderfurful, brought bach my memories, although i thought i would be seeing Mirabellgarten aswell in this video, but love your voiceover, keep travelling & inspiring..
I really appreciate that, and thanks for following along! Yeah we didn’t have time to do Mirabella as the riverside path I found takes you sort of around it and by the time the day was done I was far too tired to add another place to the list :) though you are right, it is really pretty.
This is fantastic! We can't wait to go back!
Thank you so much! This video was a lot of fun to put together, as I just can’t get enough of Salzburg. I always dedicate a day to it whenever I’m in the area. However, if you liked this one, I hope stick around for the rest of the Salzkammergut series as it’s all up from here!
Me and my teen kids were here in January 23. Highly recommended Foxn restaurant for amazing traditional Austrian cuisine.
Thanks! Will check it out!
Its called Fuxn.
Hello from Canada…Great video, you should have way more subs, keep up the quality content
I keep thinking that too, the production quality is top notch! (Also hello from Canada. We're moving to Munich next week!)
Thanks so much! We talk about this often. Unfortunately, I suspect we don't often get picked up by the algorithm because we refuse to make clickbait travel content. 🙅 We just try to stay happy helping our small community. Maybe one day we'll have more subs 😎
Welcome to Munich, and thanks so much! Hopefully our channel can be an excellent resource.
Definitely! We're excited to visit all the places you've shown so far!
:)
This has been my favorite video of yours! I remember Zak telling me about his trip out to visit you some time ago, and he said you guys ate so much cake he couldn’t stand to eat anymore of it by the end of the trip haha
Awwww thanks so much! I do remember him gushing about Salzburg. He was also VERY enamored by a schnitzel he got to eat on the train 😅
Where did you drop your bags off at? Are there lockers somewhere? Which ones are convenient?
We dropped them off at the hotel, but I think there are lockers at the train station.
A mentioned before you need to try Augustiner in Mülln and its food stalls, and this comes from a Munich Augustiner guy
We are also Augustiner people, so we will definitely check it out next time we head over there.
@@NearFromHome The two Augustiners (Munich and Salzburg) are unrelated. The beers are not the same.
Tip from an austrian: Visit the water castle hellbrunn especially during summer. and mybe see the zoo next to the castle also.
Ahh thanks so much! My sister is visiting in October, and I am planning to take her to Salzburg. We will check it out together!
Hellbrunn is so lovely. Especially during the krampuslaufen ❤
جولة جميلة شكرا لك ❤
Thank you!
Thanks for video
Is it an Edelweiss on the cap?
Always
Watched this whole series and loved it! Love your videos!!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot. I love that series, and it doesn’t get a ton of views, so thank you! 🥰
Are there any non-pastry restaurants you would recommend in Salzburg?
Unfortunately I don't really have any lunch or dinner recommendations. :O Tomaselli in the video does have breakfast options which I always enjoy.
Did you guys use the Bayern ticket to travel to Salzburg
Yes! Now we can use the 49 euros ticket as well.
If I have one day trip from Munich which is better Salzburg or zell am see
I have been to Zell am See, so I can‘t help you. :( Salzburg is awesome thought!
So what's your favourite graveyard in Munich?
Alter Südfriedhof! :D
Where did you get that edelweiss hat???
Bavarian Caps! There is a brick and mortar shop in Munich city center. There is also an online shop.m
@@NearFromHome Vielen Dank. Ich bin in drei Wochen da. Liebe deine Videos.👍🏻
Liked you video
thank you so much!
Great video! What covid testing center did you go to? Do you have to be an EU citizen to get the test?
We went to the one in Mozartstrasse in Salzburg. However, it was a pop-up, so it might not be there anymore. Ben has a British passport, but they did not ask for proof EU citizenship. YOur milage might vary though. :)
@@NearFromHome Thank you! We're heading there in a few weeks and haven't quite nailed down where to get a covid test for re-entry into the US. Fingers crossed 🤞
If you veer left at the right point walking up to the castle, you will walk into the nunnery that Maria was kicked out of.
Ohhh🤯 will check it out next time
What is the name of the bridge?
Müllner Brücke, if you meant the first bridge where they strolled over with the view of the castle.
