    I’ve had this problem for two days and I’ve been looking at videos which were of no help at all and then I found your much longer detailed step-by-step video which solved my problem.

    Thanks a lot for making this video.The whole thing is applicable to MacBook Air 2017 also except that it downloaded and installed Higher Sierra directly. God bless!

    diskutil eraseDisk HFS ......
    I enter and then error,
    Error: -69888: Couldn't unmount disk.
    Please help me

      Thanks for watching! Sorry to hear you're having trouble. The 'Couldn't unmount disk' error (-69888) usually happens when the disk is in use. Here are a few things you can try:
      1. Boot into Recovery Mode: Restart your Mac and hold Command + R until you see the Apple logo. From there, open Disk Utility, and try erasing the disk again.
      2. Use Terminal in Recovery Mode: If Disk Utility still can’t unmount the disk, open Terminal from the Utilities menu in Recovery Mode, and use the following command to unmount: diskutil unmountDisk force /dev/diskX
      - Replace diskX with the correct disk identifier (you can find this in Disk Utility or by typing diskutil list).
      3. Safe Mode: Booting into Safe Mode might free up the disk. Restart your Mac and hold Shift. Then try the process again.
      4. External Boot: If nothing works, you may need to boot from an external drive or USB with macOS installed to free up the internal drive.
      Let me know if this helps or if you’re still stuck!
