Thanks Robert for another year of enlightening videos covering everything for the hobby nut. You never fail to impress and to teach along the way. Wishing yourself, Judy and Ollie everything you could wish for. and 2024 will see that magic 100K subs cracked. You are truly spoiled over there in the US with the range of paints you can access. Wish we could get more like the Hobby Mio here in Aussie.
Nice try from hobby mio, and what a nice approach from you sir, that was nice idea using over different primer base. Wish you a great christmas this year. I love the dark iron,
Thanks Robert, I always feel good about my paint purchases due to your paint tests. We in the hobby community's sure owe you a debt of gratitude for all of your hard work! Merry Christmas to you and yours and I hope this finds you all healthy and well. Take care and Thanks again!!
Well dang, that rose gold is flippin beautiful❤ The dark iron is super tasty. Over gloss black it was chefs kiss, the best color of the bunch IMO. Super awesome line, you can never have enough metallics. The Mobius is a real looker, hopefully it sprays good. Another great review. Have a good evening yall
I already have plans for the gold, looks like a great line of paint, really like the bottles nice quantity for the price. Merry Christmas to you Judy and Ollie
Happy Holidays and a safe one at that good sir. So glad I ran up on your video's almost a year ago. You have open my eyes to the many avenues of this great hobby can offer. It has grown over the years and still plenty more to grow as well.
It looks like they are similar to Alclad in that they perform best over a gloss black primer. Unbelievable differences in effect of different bases. The gloss black definitely gives the colour you would expect given the colour names are all faux metals.
Another great video, these new colors from Hobby Mio look awesome. Thanks for all the testing you do, saves us in so many ways. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I am always looking for a good metallic and sometimes find the range of colours lacking. That’s why I’ve taken it upon myself to create my own line of acrylic metallics. I purchased some pearlescent medium and have a range of metallic inks, acrylic inks, mica powders and pastels to choose from for the pigment. Will also add some flow medium and a stabiliser to it to improve flow and coverage. I may also try doing up some metallic oil enamels or alcohol based lacquers with metallic or shimmer alcohol inks with a resin binder and some glycerine as a surfactant. As far as quantities go I have a rough idea to start. From there I’ll just the scientific method to refine the recipe and I’ll record it for my channel which I’m starting at the moment.
Thank you for all these great videos! They have helped me stock my supplies without having to waste money on products that don't work. Keep up the great work. God bless, Robert. And Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I don't see a link for the airbrush stand.. Would look great with all the iwata gear. I had stynylrez grey dry in the cup after about 5.minutes.. Do you flush sooner? I was using the fan cap when I had the backflush fail trying to use the rubber cap.. Hoping acetone soak will clean the cup ring.
Hey, thank you so much for putting all this on the internet you have helped me out a ton and saved me a couple bucks with some of the stuff ive learned on your channel. Ive been flying rc planes for 20 years since i was 3 and started building and painting models pretty recently and converted my air compressor outside to be my airbrush supply and me and my lady are starting on a b 24 kit to try and learn how to airbrush, my ultimate goal is to be able to weather my freewing MIG 21, keep up the great work and one day i hope to be half as good as you and your models thank you. Also has been a cool thing to do while im stuck at home for the next month or so(surgery from my motorcycle wreck)
Oh nice, Champagne Gold is what I need, and i understand that on shiny black it looks great. Your videos are a wonderful support for what I'm looking for 🙏🏻
Fantastic video my friend some beautiful colors with lots of variations. Really appreciate you doing soo much work to keep us informed, entertained, and saving us tons of money and frustration. Wishing you and your love ones a very safe and Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏 Everyone have a safe and Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas
I've been looking at the smaller Pace spray booths. They are the perfect size for me but around $350 is still really hard for me to come up with. That would def. be my choice of booth though , very nice.
Thank u for the test these r kool looking...I have a question about dollar store clay plasticine for masking on modle kits to cover body to paint?I have used 3 different tapes tamiya included and it pulled plastic yes u read that right so I want to try clay?
That Dark Iron is absolutely beautiful!! I actually have that but haven’t used it yet…so glad I grabbed it because you just sealed the deal for me. (It’s probably gonna go over everything) LOL
Thank you Robert! Bought Hobby Mio paints based on your review and haven’t been disappointed! I feel like they go further than the Tamiya Laquer paints I’ve tried. Do you spray all of your Hobby Mio around 15PSI or just the metal?
Nice video but one day I wouldn't mind you a video where you pick the best brand paint for each metal that there is such as the best copper, best silver and so on.
Awesome paints. Another great video, Robert! Where did you get your airbrush holder? You forgot the link. I have your Swallowtail and I would really like to use the holder with your airbrush. Thank you!!
I’m loving that dark iron
I hope all of you are doing well and having an excellent holiday season.
Merry Christmas Robert hope you and your family have a wonderful festive season
Hobby Mio paints are consistantly good. REALLY good. Amongst the best out there.
Again great information will be trying the Hobby Mio line of paints.

Good review! Those handles on the paint stoppers are brilliant!
Very nice colors, i also like that dark iron color. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Wish you would add a chrome back to the trial for more of a candy look.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 😊
I just recently started using these paints and love them. Takes the guesswork out of thinning for somebody like me who isn't very good at it.
Merry Christmas and thank you for everything you do, hope you and your wife are in good health and having a wonderful holiday season!
Nice try from hobby mio, and what a nice approach from you sir, that was nice idea using over different primer base. Wish you a great christmas this year. I love the dark iron,

great video as always Robert! Thanks for continuing to do these and help our hobby. Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS ROBERT . Thanks for everything you do sir.
Merry Christmas! What a great looking line of paints. I think I’m going to have to invent a need to justify a bottle or two.
Those are cool bottles. By the way, I just built that secondary 5 gallon bucket water filtration system you posted the other week. Works great!
Happy Holidays! Thanks Robert, really like those golds
Merry Christmas everyone!

That is some good-looking paint and the size and price are pretty good especially how it is covered. The bottle and cap are awesome 👌
Can't thank you enough Robert for doing all the leg work so I can make good purchases. I wish you and you family a Very Merry and blessed Christmas.

Awesome!! Any update on new batch of Swallowtail?

Happy Holidays Great video Robert, keep em coming I'll keep watching
Thank you for those great videos !! Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🎉
Been using a few of their metallic lineup and can confirm that they are nice and pretty.
Still trying to get my hands on the swallowtail.. not for xmas I guess lol.
Does any paint range have the colour of yellow "chromate" anodized aluminium?
I have an Anodized Yellow Aluminum in my Mecha Empire paint line
That Dark Iron is absolutely beautiful!! I actually have that but haven’t used it yet…so glad I grabbed it because you just sealed the deal for me. (It’s probably gonna go over everything) LOL
Last time you reviewed these you mentioned they needed filtering before spraying.... Does it seem like they've got that issue fixed or no?
Why do you use a dehydrator when operating your spray booths?
Thank you Robert! Bought Hobby Mio paints based on your review and haven’t been disappointed! I feel like they go further than the Tamiya Laquer paints I’ve tried. Do you spray all of your Hobby Mio around 15PSI or just the metal?
Merry Christmas 🎄. What would you use for a psi with a .35 needle?
The white aluminum would be nice for some planes.
Go with the same, 15psi is good
I always see u spray that close near the nozzle, is that the recommended way?
Thanks for all this videos and tips. Marry christmas Bob
Another great video, thanks!
I really like those paint jar caps. Are they avaavailable for other paints?
I think I missed it. What brand was the gloss black?
Nice video but one day I wouldn't mind you a video where you pick the best brand paint for each metal that there is such as the best copper, best silver and so on.
Great suggestion!
Awesome video, keep them coming!
Merry Christmas!
Marry Christmas Robert to you , your wife an puppy too thanks for the video an the time you invest for us thank you
Yet another quality review of a product that I have never heard of, thank you
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
I'm eager to see the Pace booth review since I'm hoping to buy one of the cheaper options myself.
I bought the smaller brother to Mr. Rex pace booth, love it.
Always look forward to your videos. Merry Christmas, Rex!
great teaching experience
👍👍🎅🎅Merry Christmas and Happy New Years 🚂🚂
Awesome video, as always!
How does this line of paints handle Masking Tape???
So sorry, I forgot to show that. It handles tape good. Especially when sprayed over a primer
@@barbatosrex9473 Thanks and "Merry Christmas" to you and your family.
Great test of paint .
Wish you and your famaly a great xmass
I hope to be here tomorrow if not hope you and your family have a great Christmas 👍🤶🎅

Can you do a video comparing primers and durability test on your paint test videos?
How long has it taken to collect all these paints? Its hard to decide. I prefer Tamiya, but sometimes i want to branch out. Too many choices haha.
I have watched many of your videos on all the different metal paints.
In your opinion what is the best solvent based paint for the metal colors?
I like many of them. Jumpwind, A-Stand, Alclad or AK Extreme Metal. Which ever is easiest for you to get and afford
Do i need to thin it? Or should i just pour it into the airbrush cup?
than you for another amazing video, any chance you've tested their mecha black 052? I would love to see it sprayed and the results
I believe I have that color. I'll be sure to test it out soon
Love the colors i love all of you video i really enjoy and learn a lot thank you for making them
Which tip are you using in your Air brush?
Do you sell 2K black paint?
love the colors as usual
Lets go!! Good stuff in this video!!
Great video... have question anyone know of a pre mixed metalic lavender color paint? Lacquer or Acrylic would be fine ... would like acrylics ...
Try Sunin7 Acrylics sold at USA Gundam Store
@barbatosrex9473 funny just went there and the color sold out there... any other suggestions 🤔
Try SMS, they have an extensive metallic pearl line, they have I believe a lavender
Once again, great test. Cudos!
nice colors.
I use the mixer in my wife's dresser drawer to vibrate my paint.
