    I learned of Missouri tactical through your vids and finally installed grip and butt stock pad this weekend after them sitting for about a year. Wish I would've rewatched this vid. I managed to get grip on with brute strength and my 10-8 1911 armorer's tool as the "shim" to help get it on. Both feel great, can't wait to shoot with them on.

    For the grip use a blow dryer to make them softer it makes it so easy to get them on.

    Not a good idea to cover all the M lock holes. If you do it doesn’t give the firearm ability to breathe and it’ll get too hot in there. Just cover the part that you’re going to grip.

    Interesting but I think I will have to pass I installed a Hogue hand grip on my G-17 model and it works well for my needs I do think that I would like to have the butt pad cover because even though it’s only a 9 mm it does kick a little after shooting it for a while. Thanks for sharing and bringing these accessories to our attention.

    Not sure if you’ve heard of MCARBO but they have a bolt tube cover, which works well btw. If you have the bolt tube cover along with the picatinny cover, will definitely prevent it from latching. I also suggest mcarbo’s recoilless charging handle.

    The only problem I see with the picatinny rail and M lock covers is they don't allow the barrel to cool down after extended firing and it does get warm. The Missouri Tactical butt stock is great. I changed the MCarbo butt stock pad out as it hindered pulling everything out the rear when cleaning as it is screwed into the Kel-Tec butt stock. I have a question regarding the kel-tec you are using for the demo, What is the L shaped metal piece running by the trigged and then slanting upward past the trigger guard ???

    • @Moondog2A
      @Moondog2A  3 года назад +2

      True, I would not cover all the side vents. But it's not like you're firing a full-auto rifle ether. Unless you're iraqveteran8888 doing a torture test. ;-)
      Oh, that L-shaped thing is the Patriot Mag Release. It's a mag release-blocking device to comply with a dumb CA "Assault Rifle" law.

    I really enjoy watching your videos dude, so thank you. Wanted to ask a couple of questions regarding the Kel-Tec sub-2000 as I'm considering to buy one but heard not so good for long range. 1. How far did you shoot it? 2. Is it accurate?

    • @Moondog2A
      @Moondog2A  2 года назад +1

      I shoot it mostly at 100yrds because that's the distance the public can shoot at, at my home range. For a 9mm non-match I can get about 3-5" groups shooting from a bench. I think in a video by Iraqveteran8888 he was shooting his Sub2K more than 300yrds.

    • @Moondog2A
      @Moondog2A  3 года назад +1

      It does reduce air colling of your barrel. But unless you're shooting 4 or 8 mags full auto in some firefight, that build of heat shouldn't hurt your rifle. I only covered up half (where I hold the rifle).

    Missouri Tactical just took shit made for other guns and tried to market it to Sub2000 owners without ever trying it. Kind of laughable. The MLok covers should be 5 spaces long instead of 3. The picatinny covers don't work at all for this role. Glad I didn't waste my money on their products. That grip is ridiculous. Not even the right shape.
