    A lot of disrespect for RE, which is really too bad. I think it's one of the best looking modern classics on the list, as well as being one of the least expensive. So they don't make a lot of power. To some riders as long as their bike runs along stress free at highways speeds and is reliable that's good enough.

      Exactly. I ride a Desert Storm 500 and I honestly could not be happier. It’s perfect for my Rio de Janeiro rides. Is it slow in comparison to some bikes? Sure! But it’s reliable af, gets crazy good mileage, and it cruises like a champ at the urban speed I live in day by day.

What I have seen are a few American reviewers who've never even sat on one who seem unable to tell the difference between the old 350 and 500 singles which were out of date when God was a boy and the all new twins with an engine developed by ex-Triumph engineers and a frame designed by Harris, a company that's been winning races since the seventies.

Like he said with the Yamaha 900 vs the 700, "More doesn't always means better." So he really is saying that low power doesn't change how well the overall bike is. But yet he goes against all the other bikes that have less power than a bike with 600 or more cc bikes.

      The Royal Enfield isn't comparable to the modern Bonnevilles, its more like the old 60s-70s Bonnevilles. I own a 2020 Bonneville Speedmaster and a 2019 Royal Enfield Interceptor. Displacement aside, the fit and finish on the Triumph is several levels above the Royal. I won't say the Royal is junk, but it's not in the Triumphs league. With a w800 you are paying more, but it is more classic. I would probably ether buy a classic 350 witch I think is great, and I love everything about it, or the W800 or even better W650 cause it looks to me like the real deal, and Is built that way too. That being said interceptor is still to me a great bike I would not mind in the slightest to own, but its just my preference cause I really want that classic quality and feel of a real oldschool bike. But the list is jamies personal preference witch seems to me is modern sharp powerfull bikes, and he even picks the classics that way, and that is not what most people buy them for.

    It's obvious that yammienoob hasn't had any experience with the new RE bikes. I happen to be from the same area and would be happy to show him what theyre about. They are an old bike with fuel injection and abs, and the price point reflects that. at 6k for a new bike with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty, you cant beat it. And they look GOOD. They're easy to customize, have tons of aftermarket options, and while they aren't GREAT at anything, they're good at nearly everything. They cruise comfortably at 70-80 mph, and while they aren't fast, they are more than decent for cruising around, hitting some twisties, or just going down to your local coffee shop/food truck. Build quality is good, and much better than the bullets of prior years. Reliability has been great so far. It's not as powerful as a triumph, but neeeeeearly as good build quality for half the price.

  • @pietrofaccini14
    @pietrofaccini14 3 года назад +3

    if you buy a royal Enfield (especially the "Bullet" series) you don't buy it for performance, weight, handling, chassis, or other technical things. If you buy it, it is because you are fully aware of their emotional significance that overrides any technical defect. until a year ago, they were (always the bullets) the most vintage and retro model possible (this because the design had deliberately remained unchanged from the 40s) not like triumph which simply added a round headlight and a hand-stitched saddle it calls itself "Retrò" it has practically nothing retro except for some aesthetic semblance. Their engine is practically an almost standard naked engine, like any 600 to 800, only with much more weight, a few less horsepower and a pinch of torque. Their driving experience is not meant to be like what it really was almost a century ago. This is where royal enfiled is unrivaled. Until now, only she has managed to bring us engines that are not only revised and modernized according to the law and reliability standards, but still manage to give the same sensations as driving an old Guzzi Falcone (1936). That is pure emotion. There is no Triumph that takes it from that point of view (I'm not attacking Triumph, it makes splendid bikes, it simply doesn't make them with the idea of making them, emotionally speaking .. like real time machines) So if you buy a royal enfiled outside his native country, you are not mistaken, you are mistaken if while you go to buy them you expect them to be bikes with performance and luxury comparable to the competition, the only thing royal enfiled can compete with are the emotions transmitted, and if it is not what you are looking for then I would consider the idea of changing target .... in motorcycles like these talking about defects is substantially useless, certainly they should not be portrayed as "Prides of modern engineering or similar crap", you already know which are not, should be treated as they deserve, that is, as real and prior past experiences, implemented in the present. and it may seem like a trivial matter, but doing it EXACTLY as it once was .. is by no means a trivial matter.

    A BMW R Nine T is D tier with, 110hp a mono shock and available upside down forks and a Moto Guzzi with either 54hp or 55hp, twin shocks and right side up forks is C tier, hmm you haven't ridden the original R Nine T or the bike all that much have you (I had an air cooled Triumph Scrambler and it was slow and rode like a tractor compared to my R nine T)? I've seen some suspect things on they channel but none more than this list! By the way your rating system makes no sense, S tier at the top it seems as arbitrary as your choices what does S stand for?
