Whelen 4008 - Fire Station #8 - Plano, TX

Here is one of the 4008s in Plano, TX sounding the wail signal and performing a voice test. This particular siren is located at Fire Station #8 off of Hedgcoxe Rd. This is supposedly one of the 4008s scheduled to be replaced by a 2910 next year. This siren still operated perfectly and with the exception of crackly drivers at the beginning of the test, showed no signs of wear.

Yeah. With Ronald no longer being the radio commissioner, I'm not sure Plano will come forth with this plan. It was Ronald's idea to do so. They have a new radio commissioner and I have to get info from her.
