- Trooper's Report:
(Trooper Escamilla stops the driver, James Revels, for failure to maintain lanes, resulting in the seizure of approximately 79 pounds of illegal marijuana with an estimated street value of $158,000, according to the state police.)
On 11-12-23 I, Trooper A. Escamilla was traveling on Interstate 40 near the 179 mile marker. I observed a Crystler Pacifica
bearing Florida LPN (38BNYR) failed to maintain its lane an hit the fog line in the number 1 lane. I initiated a traffic stop on
Interstate 40 near the 178 mile marker. I made contact with the driver identified as James Revels. I advised James of who I
was, the agency I represented and the reason for the stop.
As I made contact with James, it should be known that a strong odor of marijuana came from inside of the vehicle. I asked
James for his driver’s license and for the vehicle information. I asked James to exit the vehicle and come to mine to continue
the traffic stop.
I asked James where he was traveling and he stated the following. James was traveling from Oklahoma City and traveling to
Bradenton Florida (Tampa area) to visit his uncle. I looked at his rental agreement which stated the following. The vehicle was
rented on November 11, 2023 at 6:28 PM in Tulsa Oklahoma by Revonda Quigley and was to be returned on 11-12-23 at 6:21
PM in Tulsa Oklahoma. I asked James why the Rental agreement stated that the rental was for one day and James stated that
due to lack of Funds, he intended on calling the rental company to tell them that he was going to return the vehicle a little later
than expected. Due to the odor of Marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle I had James step out of my front seat and sit in
the rear of my vehicle. I asked James how much marijuana was it that he was traveling with. James stated “none”. I then
advised him that I could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicles in which he responded “you can?”.
I advised James that a PC search of the vehicle would be done.
In the rear of the SUV was a dark cloth like material concealing something under it. Under the cloth were 4 trash bags which
contained several vacuum sealed packages of Marijuana. I then placed James under arrest. I read James his miranda rights
and James agreed to speak to me without an attorney present. James stated that he was traveling from Oklahoma City and
was traveling to Montgomery Alabama to make the delivery of the marijuana. James stated that he did not know the weights
but stated that he met some individuals in a parking lot in OKC who gave him possession of the marijuana to deliver. James
stated that due to lack of income, he resorted to transporting marijuana. James stated that his family member rented the vehicle
and that they were not aware of what James was doing.
James was placed in a holding cell while I made a count of the packages. Inside of 4 bags contained 79 packages of
Marijuana.
James was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Schedule 6 with Purpose to deliver, drug paraphernalia and
Use of another persons property to facilitate a crime.

@@JoJosch-qk9hiThey probably had information from an undercover cop about the drug deal. To many of these stops with large amounts of drugs are for the most minor infractions.

My thoughts exactly. They literally never even touched the white line like the office said.
well a few things you would notice if you watch again
she waited unttil she looked at driver before pulling him over if you watch from beginning- she def used bias and assumption to pull this guy over
1. Out of state plates on rental
2. Scruffy lookin dude driving minivan with NO kids or passengers
3. Long trip in rental
4. He did swerve which is sign of nervousness or intoxication, if he was actually drunk then she wouldnt think there was weed, but
he was driving nervous alongside being scruffy lookin dude in minivan with no kids
they take alot of classes based on prior busts, he def fits profile of drug trafficking by appearance alone
@@disconductorder None of those things are illegal, except that questionably small swerve. It looks a lot like "predictive policing" the way you describe it.
I think she had information on this delivery

A friend of mine got pulled over recently here in Little Rock for expired tags. The cop said he smelled weed and conducted a search. Only problem was she did not smoke or possess any weed.
Just an excuse to search legally
"I smell weed"is being challenged as a valid reason for search. And cops are losing.
The dogs are being challenged because they always "alert" off camera, near front bumper, as far from the stuff found (if any) as possible in the vehicle.
Falsify enough evidence and your methods become illegal to use.
Had a similar thing happen, they are just trying to arrest people. Gives them more of a reason to have the job. Not to mention that’s what the politicians and private prison owners want too. Everyone gets a cut. They will try to seize even the smallest amounts of cash, saying it’s drug related with no proof of any of that.
This has been happening to every race for decades
At that point I would deny search. Sure I could have expired plates, but that does not consent that I have done anything illegal/ have contraband in my vehicle. Anybody who works in the law knows that you do not have to consent to a vehicle search unless probably cause is reasonable.

@pmlm1571 How that leather boot taste bootlicker !! NOONE SHOULD BE IN JAIL FOR CANNABIS !!
do you normally prop up violent career criminals with a miles long rap sheet? is that really what you do? do better.
He's not a criminal, just making some cash hauling a load that's going to get hauled either way.
She is an excellent State Trooper!!
@ 8:12 in to the video I knew it was all over for this dude, just as soon as Trooper Escamilla says her catch phrase " I Gotcha", she's got ya.
Imagine it saying that at a buffet
License plate reader likely programmed to notify positive hit on rental company ownership. Sit in median and wait for notification, pull rental car over and welcome new guests to state. Rinse and repeat.
Asp aren’t equipped with LPR. At least all the videos and the ones I’ve seen personally don’t
That notorious dinging noise reminded you to put your seatbelt on trooper .
It’s none of her business abut the rental car! WTF is this nonsense????
People saying she was tipped off - it could either be that, or she’s dealt with the same thing a few times and expects this now. Because she asked how much marijuana do you have in the BACK. Out of everywhere in that big van, she knew exactly where the weed was. Walked right to the back of the van and opened it up, walked back to her car and arrested him. Didn’t even look in the bag or anything.
When the smell is strong and she looked in the backseat thru the windows a couple times then it’s obviously in the back.
@@Shawn-ne6ld if its vacuum sealed there is no way she could smell it. Its just one video where she actually caught someone. There is probably another 100-200-300 stops where she violated peoples rights and found nothing. I lived in CA for much of last 2 decades and would drive back to Chicago for holidays every year. I got pulled over a few times in Utah. Every time didn't break any traffic laws and its same BS. Oh we observed you swerving, are you intoxicated? Then proceeds with we smell marijuana, which lead to my car getting torn apart. Then after they find nothing, rather than apology... Dogs alerted to it! You must of had drugs in your car! Freaking bullshit. Cops pulling stuff like this need to see prison time.
@@Andy-ug2hmI got ?d for weed driving my wife’s car because of the air fresheners 😂😂 on the rear view. He claimed weed smokers and weed runners use those to hide the smell
He's a Cleetus McFarland fan!!!! Possibly heading to the Freedom Factory in Bradenton Florida. Got his "Piston Rods & Dad Bods" shirt on. Probably not gonna make whatever event was happening. Or that was just a story he told the trooper. 🤣 Hell Yeah Brother!
🤣🤣🤣🤣@@ErikHyndmanto
Hell yeah Brother. I seen that too
He looks terrified
Im sure he is but no he does not look terrified. You're looking at the video with hindsight.
Probably the first time going to jail
The first time you a hear a trooper say "I gotcha" it's over! 😂
He was SOOOOOOO setup by the dudes that gave him the weed 💯💯💯 the bigger amount just passed them.... Drug traffickers aren’t stupid they find guys like him down on his luck tell him it’s an easy score for some money and then bam.
That’s smart asf
Haha
@@xzv3926it’s true
Dreaded words if you drive through Arkansas, a smokie pulls you over, and the lingo is: "Failure to maintain lane". Next thing you know, the dog's kibble in the trunk starts to look devious. Bam! You've got that nervous look in the back of the panda car....
This girl is ruthless. Lmao, look at her smile when he denies there is any weed in the car. Once she saw the rental agreement and duffel bag it was game over.
Man what's with the this girl talk? There wasn't a single female in this video and you know it.
If the state trooper tells you to get in their front seat just expect to be in the back seat shortly after cause they already know what you got they just want you comfortable to catch you in lies. 🤣🤣
I was just in the front seat of one about a month ago and got ? For weed because of air fresheners from the rear view mirror my wife’s car 😂😂 didn’t go to the back but got a hefty speeding tickey
People, don't forget that the technolgy in these days of have a license plate reader would let her know that it is a rental. The only way to get around her is to find out her schedule and not drive on her shift LOL
You can't get around something that big
That's just a little personal use where I'm from.
I can tell you right now if that was me I would have a serious problem why she pulled me over. That guy did absolutely nothing wrong( minus the weed) while driving.
Trooper Escamilla is a living legend.
Buddy looking like a typical guy I would hire at my contracting company is crazy.
I just love it when the trooper says "I GOT YA" at about 8:20. You know she is really thinking, oh yeah, I really got you. She knows her stuff, she has super powers of mind reading.
they are running a program called stingray they get all the text messages and pictures phone calls, literally everything and anything on your phone
@@ispeakterpanese3327 I doubt a lot of asp cars are outfitted with a stingray device. It’s very pricey, and it collects data from every phone in the vicinity. We used them when I was deployed. It seems like she’s just very good at her job. But I could be wrong
I've always said she has that "JDLR" sense,"Just Doesn't Look Right" and it's always accurate. She should be a Major by now. That major bust with the cigarette smugglers, the OTHER weed bust, and probably more we haven't heard of yet. She's the shit ‼️👏👏👏
She's not the shit it was already in the works they are tipped off she's probably a dumbass in actual real life this is a movie
I drove from Colorado to Florida. Didnt have drugs and got pulled over. They said "wanna hop out and come to my car?"
I said hell no I want to continue driving and they let me go.
But for some reason, smugglers feel the need to hop out and go inside the cops car just for a chat as if it'll make them seem innocent.
i never understand this either. no i am not coming back to your vehicle to willingly participate in your bullshit investigation where you can hold me for an indefinate amount of time. give me my ticket or let me go. am I being detained? if so, shut the fuck up.
“You havin a good day?” “Oh not too bad”😂
Trooper Escamilla gets right to it. No courtship or foreplay, love watching her work!
Lets be real here. There was no failure to maintain lane. The cop zeroed in on out of state plates.
Exactly. Bs stop, should be thrown out. Dash cam shows never crossed or even went on line.
Yes.... it's not like he was riding the white line for several 100 feet at 0:55,
this was BS he was clearly a case of perfectly maintaining his lane! jeeeeeze
Yep.
The bull dog was tipped off of this guy.
@@carbonrrpilotYeah he folded horribly, she instantly hit her mic as soon as he did that 😂
It wasn't the out of state plates. Probably 25% of vehicles on an interstate highway are out of state.
The plate came back as a rental from FL that's in AR.
When she says "I got cha" your fu@#$...
That was shady as hell at the end when that guy came and drove the rental car with the drugs and was supposed to stop at the gas station with that cop. That's messed up
That escalated so quickly 😂😂
The fact that he is sitting there telling his life story is the indicator of guilt. If he wasn't doing anything wrong the answer to most of her questions should be "none of your business". And way to go...she found a "drug" that's legal in a lot of states.
Adderall is legal. Am I free to have 69 pounds of it in the back of a van? You have to have a license to sell weed.
@@DrivenA111 I wouldn't compare Adderall to weed.
@@cknorris3644 The law is what it is. Hence your non answer. And I agree that weed is harmless for the most part.
@@DrivenA11169 pounds of adderall isnt comparable to 69lbs of weed to any imagination pills are also fake half the time obviously he did something illegal way to point out the obvious
But NOT in Arkansas especially NOT 69 lbs 😂 those kinds of amounts get taxed and require a $250-$500 Dr visit & prescription & paid weed unless it’s a state that allows recreational weed.
She just looks for rental vans and pulls them over for the easiest reason.
His head peaking around the headrest is hilarious
It blows my mind away that they don’t have this triple vacuum sealed so if u get pulled over a cop doesn’t smell the marijuana.
It always amazes me how these criminals have zero problem answering questions, and they do it so poorly. Outside of the smell, which is an obvious problem, the answer to police questions is always “I don’t answer questions”. If you happen to be transporting weed, you may also want to use multiple vacuum seals, and possibly some coffee to aid in the subterfuge.
Yeah. That 💩 of where'd u come from, where u going, and everything else personal. My answer: none of your business, its a free country last time i checked
I would have just jumped out and ran into the woods. Lol
Nobody ever heard of mylar?
This guy isn't a criminal. Only a psychopath would criminalize this man and ruin his future
And absolutely no one is safer as a result of this.
Lmfao 🤣
When trooper Escamilla says "I got cha," you might as well go ahead and put your hands behind your back😂😂
ASP just got three stops for various drugs (over 340lbs of marijuana total) yesterday 2/7/24. Would LOVE a timelapse of these three stops.
