- Hey All! First (And probably only, lol) Evanescence Triple Header! This was great hearing both versions, and the most recent 2021 reincarnation. Although I almost would rather have heard this mix of the two happen live as a surprise when I see them tomorrow, it was still good to hear! I loved the mix of both! What a force this song is on the vocals too.

This song was never played live during the Evanescence tour, because Amy said that with all the running around, she would need an extra pair of lungs to sing those super long notes. And here we are, them playing a mixed version of both, which shows how much she and the band have grown over time as artists.

I screamed so loud when I heard the intro that people were freaked out a bit
I love the rock version but it's in the Synthesis version that this song finds its place, there's a power that wasn't there before. The solo in the hybrid live version took me by surprise, it was my first time listening to it. Beautiful. Evanescence doesn't usually have that many solos but they've added one to the live version of Disappear, in case you want to check it out (self-titled bonus track)

Saw them in concert this past Thursday and all I can say is Breathtaking! Along with Halestorm, this was a epic concert from two powerhouse vocalists, I could not have been happier about a concert! Plush was great also! Enjoy it!
Agreed! Saw then 2x and 1 more to go. My front row experience was Heaven on earth. They sound better than ever and songs hit the heart hard.
@@Among_the_ashes I went with a friend for which this was his first time to see Evanescence and Halestorm came out before them. After Halestorm, which was epic, he was sure Evanescence couldn't "hang" with them. He admitted to being mistaken after the show! Yes, they were better than ever!

Synthesis Live 2018 the full album is incredible a lot of her lyrics start me crying but for whatever reason the last track Swimming Home reduces me into floods of tears I have followed the band right from first hearing Fallen and have fell in love with every album since so glad to see her music getting the kudos it deserves love your channel much love from Scotland xxx

I honestly didn't care that much about this song when it first came out, even though it has some great lyrics to me, and the part that really captures me is when they play "why must we fall apart to understand how to fly, I will find a way even without wings"🔥. Anyways, when the Synthesis version came out I was like shocked 🤯, pure and raw emotion!!! And when the 3rd version in this 2021 tour is like more gasoline to the fire 🔥 🔥 🔥 😂💯💯... I loved it. I also wish you heard the 3rd version for the first-time by a surprise in the live tour. Hope they'd played this song that night, and you'd enjoyed the entire show.

What I love about your reactions to evanescence is that you point shit out that I never notice and I end up loving the song even more SPECIFICALLY the song “like you” from evanescence , you really pointed out the guitars for me and made it so much better and I already loved the song and I’ll always appreciate you for it THANK YOU AGAIN keep it going brotha

OMG thanks so much for dedicating the time to make this triple reaction video, I knew you were gonna like it, I've seen you headbang to some heavier parts of their music and that bridge alone is one of my favorite things from their selftitled, actually this was the very first song anyone was able to listen to from the 2011 album, a magazine (loudwire or metal hammer) was able to share it in a promo interview they did prior to the album release and prior to any show they played live. So for that reason alone, this song became such a favorite of mine since day one. And totally they added one hell of amazing solo in their new 2021 version. They have done that just once with their song Disappear which they added one big solo that is made of 4 small solos played back and forth between Jen and Troy... anyway they blew my mind the new 2021 version is like the best of both version and they improved it to become even a greater song, I so want them to play here in Mexico next year, doesn't matter where but I'll be there I need to experience this live.
I’m in love currently with the version they’ve been playing the last couple years combining synthesis and the self titled. It just gives me goosebumps.

Excellent review, crushed it, especially on the version from the recent tour. Love how you noticed Jen's amazing backing vocals too, she is such a great addition to the band. Was at their show in Worcester and yeah, the high note in the intro was absolutely electrifying, full goose bump mode.
Glad u liked this song as much as u did! Was an early fav of mine from this album and maybe even my favorite song from the album when it first came out. Amy said in an interview that this was a very hard song to sing cuz of the long notes and said that if she ever included this song in the live set she would prob have to shorten the set cuz of them etc… which was disappointing cuz it was not in the live set for any shows for the touring of that album and didn’t look like it would ever be after reading that…. However, when it appeared on Synthesis with this stripped down dramatic and cinematic like version, it made it to the live set and was exciting to finally be able to see this song live… I really like how they combined the 2 versions for this tour and am excited to be able to finally see the rock version too for the first time live!

There are few songs with solo guitar, for example: haunted, whisper, made of stone, lacrymosa, yeah Right, disappear (live). The last one is the one I'm sure that you're gonna love!
