"The end of the dream" is an amazing song, it first came out in tje self-titled álbum (Evanescence) in 2011, it was the rock version. Then, they release an album in 2017 called "Synthesis" where they put songs from older albums but they used orchestral arrangements, "The end of the dream" was one of them. December 2021 they start touring again the new album "The bitter truth" so they played this song, they mixed the 2011(Evanescence album) and the 2017(Synthesis version) and they created this masterpiece. I would like to suggest "The end of the dream Synthesis Live DVD version". 🔥
Oh, thank you guys so much. Glad you liked this song. I actually wanted you to do a comparison between this, rock version of the song and another orchestral version - from the Synthesis project. Live as well. But super grateful on the reaction. Btw, yes, they are from the US. You haven't done any Ev reaction but you did Broken, Seether song, featuring Amy Lee. Any who... much love and see yah around.
I guess your the same ALF on Songs and Thongs live streams??? My name will mean nothing to you as only watch on playback as live to early for me, am still sleeping. Just wanted to give you a call-out, some of your comments 🤣🤣🤣 you certainly keep them on their toes ❤️🤘🎸🎻🇦🇺
Thanks souls for reaction, I still love the fallen album from Evanescence and songs like Lithium from the open door album, lost touch with their newer music so need to listen to more to them to see if they are still magical like the past. Had a second listen to this song and the lyrics, yep love it Momento Mori we are all equal in death, and Carpe Diem seize the day are what i feel from the song
Their newest album, The Bitter Truth , came out in 2021, 1st all new album in 10 years. 4 singles had been released before the record. Wasted On You, The Game is Over, Use My Voice, and Better Without You. Dogs waging chemical warfare.🤣🤣🤣 What do you feed them?? lol
First I would like to give a shout out to Amy Lee Forever for making that beautiful artwork for you, must be very difficult to get y’all looking good 😂 And also a shout out to RATSASS for donating for MY t-shirt from you. I also sent you a pick from Emppu, so you will have 2. Actually never listened to this band. Many have suggested them to me, by saying if you love NightWish you would like them. I have to hear more before giving my opinion on that.
Please react to other songs by them.... Disappear the live version is amazing, other songs worth reacting are Better Without You Your Star Whisper Haunted .... if you like more bass please listen to Take Cover, The Change, Oceans. Their best songs are the not always the singles.
First listen for this band. I didn't care for the intro, seemed to be too meandering. Once they got going, it was OK, but seemed to end rather abruptly. I am not sure about the lyrics, seems someone is in pain but not sure what they were trying to say. Doubt they will be on my play list unless they have something more interesting. Stay Safe, God Bless, keep rocking.
The song is actually about life and death... when she says "Well, as much as it hurts / Ain’t it wonderful to feel? / So go on and bring your wings / Follow your heart / ‘Til it bleeds / As we run towards the end of the dream." Amy Lee said: “It’s my respect and appreciation for the fact that life is not going to last forever so you have to live now, you have to follow your heart, even when it hurts. That pain is something that you can’t take for granted.” And also "I will find a way even without Wings" is to not give up when things seem hard - like for that bird from the very beginning of the song you didn't like. Not many like poetic lyrics, I find then beautiful.
@@AmyLeeForever I actually like poetic lyrics, sometimes it takes more than one read so I'll look a them again. For me, lyrics are what makes a song, it needs to tell a tale, evoke emotions, make you think. teen angst and rap pap doesn't do it for me, which is why I love Sabaton since very few bands have reached so deep into my soul. Frankly, this did not grab me, but I'll listen to some of their other work to see what they have.

I guess I can see why Americans sometimes compare Amy with Floor as she has a warmer tone than many. Her breathing lacks Floor's control and nowhere near the range but quite pleasant.
@@mirekhalek2948 because so many Americans have only heard one female fronted rock band. They forget Heart, Pat Benatar, Fanny, to name a few. So every time they hear Nightwish for the first time they think of Evanescence.

Synthesis version of this song ruined all other music for me.
ALF comes through in the clutch! :)
I went to see Evanescence concert live at RUclips Theater in Inglewood California 2021. Amy Lee has an amazing voice.
No one denies it
The last band I was captivated by since early 2000's. Love her rich voice.

If you're going to check this band out, start with the older ones that most people know. Bring Me To Life, Call Me When You're Sober, and My Immortal.
@@chriso6719 okay Chris, I will do that. Thank you for that. I never got around to it before but I definitely will now.
Agreed with Palma's recommendations. Would only add "Sweet Sacrifice" cuz I like to head bang every now and then. :)

Amy/ Floor and Evanescence/ Nightwish is stupid to keep comparing....I don't know why people do that.

When there is there nothing else to compare...u.s. music industry has dumbed down the listeners.
