//FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.

Never imagined I could do this. Other tutorials are always so confusing but yours is so clear and easy. Thank you so much!
You are very welcome, I'm glad that it helped you :)
Thank you so much. After doing the swatch I'm picking colors for a lapghan for myself. I've never made a blanket and kept it, always gave away but I deserve something nice too.
You are very welcome :)
Beautiful! I have done mosaic 3 times before. A baby blanket, a 2-sided pillow cover, and a sofa throw blanket. I enjoyed the results and comments from others are always more in awe. It takes complete focus and much concentration on my part (no tv in background for me. haha).
LOve this pattern! Can’t believe that I managed to do it.
Another great tutorial. Thanks Sarah for sharing. I can see my new obsession happening

Pls make more graphghans😀😀 really loved the video...
Thank you :)
Absolutely loved making this sample. I would like to make a bigger one for a baby blanket or a rug, what do I do after row 11 ?! Xxx
I'm glad you liked it 😊 If you pop over to my blog here: bellacococrochet.com/overlay-mosaic-crochet/ you will find a free PDF with the pattern chart etc, but after row 11 you should just begin to repeat the pattern again.
@@bellacococrochet thank you so much! Xx
Bella Coco, after row 11 do you repeat as row 3 or row 2? Thanks
Very pretty. Personally I don’t like the way the yarn reattaches on each row. Any other way to do it since we can’t carry the yarn? Thanks Sarah.
Have you checked out my tutorial on inset mosaic crochet? 😊 This gives the same pattern but without any ends to sew in - you can find the video here: ruclips.net/video/ayexSO4IYNk/видео.html
Hi there this is awesome . How do I download the graph please?
Thank you, to get access to the chart you need to click where it says Mosaic Overlay PDF in the Materials section and it will take you to the chart :)
Wat if I need a small box like a 12*12
Hi! Thanks for this lovely tutorial - I have a little question! Forgive me for being a bit stupid, but i'm not the best pattern follower...how to you continue on past row 11? I'm sure it's obvious once pointed out, but I can't figure it out on my own..HELP!
I'm glad you liked it 😊 If you pop over to my blog here: bellacococrochet.com/overlay-mosaic-crochet/ you will find a free PDF with the pattern chart etc, but after row 11 you should just begin to repeat the pattern again. :)
@@bellacococrochet would you start fro row 3 then for the repeat or row 2? Thanks
I'm curious as to what a UK Single crochet stitch looks like, if there is such a thing. Thanks.
I believe it is equivalent to USA's slip stitch.
There isn’t a UK single crochet. Slip stitch is the same in UK and US x
@@bellacococrochet Thanks!
Your channel would be one of my all time favorites, if only you could put US terminology as subtitles.
She always states what the stitch is in US terms and puts a note up on the screen when she is talking about the actual stitch she is using..im not sure how she could do "subtitles" to only substitute the words single crochet for double crochet. 💜🌙⭐
It’s easy to learn the alternate terms - I had to - I have yet to find an American crocheter to give English terms !
@@01doha I have learned to use both terms, and it was just a suggestion. Most, not all, invite suggestions.
whats the difference between overlay and intent mosaic crochet please could you explain to me? is it just cut the yarn in the end of each row
You can find all the information you need regarding this on my blog at blog.bellacococrochet.com, however here is a quick explanation:-
Overlay
Stitches worked into BLO or FLO
Pattern work in one row of each colour without turning
Yarn tied off at the end of each row which created lots of ends
Inset
Stitches worked into full stitch
Pattern worked in 2 rows of each colour turning at the end of row
Yarn is not tied off so there aren’t lot’s of ends and you can ‘float’ up yarn.
Hope this helps :)
@@bellacococrochet its helps a lot , and I really prefer inset crochet , that is the reason i truly dont have patient to make overlay crochet there are a lots of ends of yarn and to me its seems like someone that created this way to make this method did not think very much about that we lost a lot of yarn and also time to start and star and cut and start , i have made with Tina a little sample crochet but then when i knew inset wow i got so happy to see i could make mosaic without cut , and cut the yarn.. Thank you very much
What do I do for row 9? I'm lost now.
If you pop over to my blog post here: bellacococrochet.com/overlay-mosaic-crochet/ you can find a free PDF with a chart and some instructions to help you 😊
Is there a program to make charts for these?
You can find the chart and video on my blog at bellacococrochet.com :)
@@bellacococrochet I looked everywhere and didn't even see anything about mosaic.
I want become member
That looks like a single crochet? Isn’t a double crochet loop over then put into stitch loop over go through 2 loops twice?
I work in UK terms so a UK double is a US single, it's the same stitch just different terminology :)
Oh, thank you for replying back to me
Very nice video! One comment, though. In my experience, most overlay mosaic patterns and charts are written using US terms, so it’s probably important for people to be aware of this.
Thank you , however I do all my tutorials in UK terms as that is where I am based. I do make references to US terms throughout for those who want them :)
Can’t deal with fluttering hands in the video so prevalent 😵💫😵💫😵💫
