    I can't thank you enough for this tutorial. I found your patterns recently and fell in love with the designs, but felt intimidated learning a new technique. As a visual learner, this was an absolutely perfect way to get the basics down, and I feel so proud of myself having my first piece of mosaic crochet sitting in front of me after only 20 minutes. I can't wait to keep going!

  • @andreajohnson3166

    How do you avoid stretching of the stitch from below for the double crochet?

    • @SixelDesign
      @SixelDesign  2 года назад +1

      It depends in the yarn you're using. Some yarn like wool and acrylic fills in those holes so you don't see the pulled stitch so much. Single strand and cotton yarn will tend to pull those stitches a bit more. I have a whole video discussing the best and worst yarn for mosaic crochet that addresses that issue. Hope that helps!

    • @SixelDesign
      @SixelDesign  Год назад

      Yes they're the same. The only time you wouldn't use border stitches is when you're working in the round.

    • @SixelDesign
      @SixelDesign  9 месяцев назад +1

      I just naturally crochet very tightly, and this being my very first video I was also super nervous! You don't need to crochet this tightly for mosaic crochet though.

    Is there a way to carry your yarn up to the next row so you don’t ha a million ends to weave in?

    • @SixelDesign
      @SixelDesign  9 месяцев назад +1

      You don't have to weave the ends in. It really depends on the project you're making. When working mosaic crochet flat, you will always have ends.
