    Thank you for showing the difference between the double row inset and the single row overlay. I would love to see the same pattern on both styles so I can decide which I want to do. Thank you, though. :)

    I absolutely love your pattern designs. I have been doing mosaic crochet for about a year and a half and really enjoy it. Do you have all of your patterns in one book or collection for purchase?

      Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. I'm afraid I don't currently have a book or other 'complete' collection available.... but all of my designs are available individually from my Ravelry store www.ravelry.com/stores/rosina-crochets xx

    Thank you. How do I know if a graphic is for overlay mosaic crochet or for inset mosaic crochet? Where or how is the difference seen to distinguish them?.

      The patterns always state which mosaic technique is used.
      I also use different chart symbols and abbreviations for each technique.

    Thank you for the tutorial how do you keep your sides straight when making a mosaic blanket and I need t know how to keep them straight and i am hooked on mosaic right now and right now I am working on a mosaic blanket and you are a great teacher are you from the UK 🇬🇧 and i can stop with mosaic crochet and how many chains do you used when making a blanket out of mosaic crochet

    • @RosinaCrochets
      @RosinaCrochets  2 года назад

      Overlay mosaic crochet can slant slightly because all rows are worked on the right side only, but you can pull it into shape if necessary, and adding an envelope border usually helps.
      Inset mosaic should be straighter as you turn your work at the end of each row.
      The number of chains you need will depend on the yarn weight and hook size you are using, and of course how large you want the blanket to be.
      Why not join my fb group Mosaic Crochet World? There is lots of helpful information there, and thousands of other members who can also help you xx

    Thanks for the tutorial!
    I am a bit confused about right and wrong side; at 4:10 you say 'right side facing you', but due to the п shape + row-count + chain tail position, it seems to be the wrong side to me. Is that possible?

    • @RosinaCrochets
      @RosinaCrochets  Год назад +1

      As the overlay mosaic sections always follow a section of inset mosaic in this design, the final row of the previous pattern will have been worked on the wrong side.
      For the purpose of the video I started with a single row of dcs, which counts as the final row of pattern A, which is a WS row.
      Hope this clarifies xx

    Thank you for the great videos easy to follow even for beginner like me. Has anyone got part 2 yet as I'm confused at row 11 it says 2dc, 4dc, tr3d but the chart has only got 2 dc, 5 dc and no tr3d symbol before the first ch2 or after the last ch2 of that pattern repeat which is right can anyone help as not sure to follow chart on that row or the written bit. Thanks

      I have just looked at Part 2 in the magazine, and unfortunately the symbols for tr3d have been missed off rows 11 and 35 of the inset mosaic chart. The written instructions are correct though.
      I have also checked the overlay chart for Part 2, and that is missing an F on rows 7, 9 and 10;
      The Fs in stitch 3 of rows 4, 7 and 10 on the overlay chart should also not be there.
      I am very sorry for the errors, and have brought these to the attention of the magazine editor xx

    What yarn, cotton, acrylic or both?

    • @RosinaCrochets
      @RosinaCrochets  3 месяца назад +1

      Details of the yarn used are included in the pattern. I used a 100% wool yarn from WYS, but it would work equally well in acrylic. You could also use cotton if you prefer that, but that would be heavier x

      This video is designed to show you how to do this technique, so it doesn't show every row.
      The full pattern can be purchased from Ravelry at www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/magic-carpet-5

    What do you do with the ends on these? Do you have to weave them all in?
