Two questions: - do you get winter wheels or tires? If so which… really struggling to figure out what to do for my M3P. - how are you doing on rattles? My new M3P has definitely developed rattles in both the front and back dash unfortunately. Even one in the passenger seat.
The performance comes with summer tires. If you use then below 40degrees f they will develop micro cracks. Summer tires were never designed to handle cold weather. If you have the resources...buy a new set of rims and winter tires with TPMS. Take your summer tires off and store them in a climate controlled area. It's not something most drivers care to fuss with. You can also add a set of AS to your M3P and reduce performance but gain more usability. That is why I chose the 2024 AWD. More utility and range...which is what I needed. Performance is not needed for me....just go with what works best for your daily use and projected use. If your passenger seat rattles it could be the why the seat is positioned. My passenger seatbelt touches the seat in a very unique way which makes a subtle tapping sound. Add felt to it or move the seat slightly..that could be what your hearing. For your dash...bring a friend and touch the area where the sound comes from..or investigate...then think of how to add felt tape to minimize it. All car have some kind of minor rattle...no matter what they say.
I love my Model 3 Performance, but I should have waited a year... Mine is a 2023. I just wish they kept the LED fog lamps & the stalks for the turn signals and to put it in gear + reverse in the '24. Not a deal breaker though.
I have a 2024 Model 3 (replaced a 2021 model 3) and I also have a 2021 Model Y performance, funny thing is I now find the stalks really clunky and much prefer the no-stalk setup.

I just picked up a LR AWD Model 3 and am loving it! The 0% interest has saved me thousands of dollars. If anyone needs a referral code, mine is in my RUclips Bio!
As of today, the turn signal issue has not been addressed. Do not make contact with the turn signal pads for too long, doing so for over a minute locks them momentarily. Let go and wait a second or two to reset. Awaiting a program update. 😮💨
Just picked up mine about a month ago. Upon delivery three major issues, massive chip in the bumper down to the metal, chip on the a pillar, and chip in the back near the trunk. This had to go to a body shop but it actually looks great and only took a week. Upon receiving it back my driver seat cooling fan is SUPER loud, bringing it back next week and planning to get this fixed under warranty as well. Only other issue is my car will not charge to what I set it to. It will charge to say 60% and then when I get in the next morning it's down to 57% with 2 khw less than when it was at 60%, it happens every time. When I charge to another value it typically holds +/- 1%. Not sure if anyone has any fixes to this? I am planning to bring it up at my next service appointment.
Very intresting. I don't feel its something you need to worry about to much. Try a full charge up and run it down to 20% or 10%. Perhaps the BMS needs a good cycle to pinpoint your SoC. I noticed my 3 did something similar. I set my car to 60, but on occasion it showed 59. So, I moved it to 70..charged up...then drove to 52. I set my charge back to 60. Now it holds right at 60..like it use too. I feel the car likes to estimate, like gas cars do, but needs a good cycle to estimate. I'd try that first.
They charge to full (or % set). Then don't kick charger on till the battery drains down a bit. It's also hotter when charging then cools which will show less charge
The current Model Y has been out for like 5 years now I think and pretty much has the same exact design since release (obv some general/important changes over the 5 years). If you want the latest and greatest, don't mind waiting more months, and don't mind spending more (since Juniper won't have all these discounts/promos), then wait for Juniper. If you want/need all these savings, upgrade to a 2024/2025 Model Y.
Outdated..no. Your 2021 will be just fine for many years to come. Your car uses HW3(AI3) and the current cars us AI4. You still have full access to FSD if you want it. You can upgrade your suspension if you want, but not necessary. Aside from the 2025 Model Y styling...they will be very similar...just like the 3.
Just took delivery of my SR Model 3 and noticed that the LED ambients arent aligned with the dash and driver side door. Asked Tesla staff about it and they said it's a normal defect? Anyone else has this experience too or advice on if its fixable? Thank you!
I've only seen a single video where the buyer noticed a slight variation. It was subtle and honestly not worth mentioning. Defect? No, that term doesn't seem correct. Manufacturing has slight variations, with tolerances for millimeters...but defects? If a service advisor used that word...I'd get a second opinion.
@@Luisslzr7 Yep. Apparently people who had subscribed to FSD sometime in the past got a trial for FSD v12.5 whereas those who didn't (including me) got a trial for FSD v12.3.6.
@@mclose7799 yes but not if you’re a big boy. Little tight on the legs over 260 I’d say. I grew up playing hockey with a big ass and legs and it’s tight. Even showing wear on bottom bolsters at 2k miles.
Anyone live in northern us? It's been getting cold now in NJ and everytime I leave my car out in the cold (like 40 50 deg) my phone key stops being detected by my 2024 m3p and I have to use my key card. If this happens to anyone of you, you got a fix? It's so annoying 😭. Other than all the rattling inside the car and this new issue, this is the best car I've ever had lmao
@thefiatponzi tried this too. Opening the app doesn't do anything. Even if I unlock from the app and get in, it doesn't recognize the key and allow me to drive. I have the tesla app set to unrestricted for battery, and even all the different system Bluetooth apps, no difference. Turning my Bluetooth on and off is the only thing that seems to work though, and I'm currently in the process of testing a different phone
It's Matte PPF (Paint Protection Film) - not a regular wrap but a very durable protection film on the car. The Matte PPF takes whatever color your car is and makes it a Matte version of it. Jeremiah had Stealth Grey so Matte PPF on top of that color made it look like how his car looks now.
@@Tweaky_y He should have a video on it but I believe he ordered it from a company and then DIY installed it himself. Typically, you could find shops in your area that can do PPF installations and most of them use Xpel PPF. They'll have a Clear PPF or Matte PPF that you can choose from. I have full Clear Xpel PPF on my Black Model Y that a shop installed. Professional PPF installation is pretty pricey though so check around for quotes. After installation, the Xpel PPF is registered with Xpel so you get basic warranty on it in case certain things happen (not wear-and-tear).
@@JremiahJones I can confirm, they did take it to zero. But it's sad the Long range got almost 100 MILES MORE miles more than the performance on a charge, for $15,000 less
@JDB-ru4lp You have to either buy a 2nd set of winter or buy a 2nd set of 20in tires that are t staggered so you can rotate. I swapped my rims the day I bought my M3P for 18in rims and put A/S tires on them. Gonna sell the OEM wheels and tires
@@ErikSebring dam that’s crazy. I guess I’m finally glad that I didn’t get the performance down to this reason. I regret not getting it but knowing gives me peace because next time I buy a tesla I’ll know that I’ll need extra money for the m3 performance or I might get a used 2022 model s or cybertruck but anyways for now I’ll be content with my 24 m3 dual motor in white. I’m just waiting for the acceleration boost to come out. I just installed a level 2 charger at home finally after like 2 months of only supercharging so I might actually take off my hub caps off now to see if I like the look more. Anyways I’m super happy for you too and congrats on your performance. Drive and stay safe!
can't be rotated as the back are bigger than the fronts. Not a fan of that or the lack of stalks and the NOT improved mileage over the 7 year old M3P version
The only time I don’t like it is making another turn signal signal after being in the middle of another turn. So like taking a right turn then near immediate left is difficult because of the wheel being upside down and muscle memory doesn’t work at that point
I agree with you. It's a much cleaner look but after about 700 miles I still haven't completely adjusted. Being an early morning in the dark driver the bright light button is even a bigger hassle. I still love the car but if given the option I would go with stalks.
can someone explain this to me. With electric cars, you need to charge them, the charging station is a diesel generator. Ok so isn't it actually better to just use a gas car? without the extra generator to charge your vehicle? I mean your still clearly using diesel instead of gas to run your vehicle? So whats all the obsession over electric cars, seems like taking extra steps to get to the same place. if anything diesel cars are much more efficient altogether. Is there something I'm missing?
The uberturbines are ugly as hell. The warped wheels are farrr prettier and a lot lighter cause of the forge aspect. I swapped mine out with 19’s squared
We understand you are only concerned about the performance versus the range, and I get it, as it's a performance and for many that's the main concern. But don't ya think it's PATHETIC that the NEW one doesn't go ANY further than a 2018 model... which is what I have. With 80% charging daily they "might" get 220 if babying them. The 2024 version is likely the same battery chemistry, the same battery pack size and similar motors, otherwise it would go further. I'm assuming they've just altered the software which will eventually just comparatively thrash everything so it goes faster. Hey Elon, how about a slightly bigger battery pack or better battery chemistry so it actually improves in 7 years??? Some channels have tested the new performance going even LESS than the 2018 version! That's likely because they are taxing the battery/motors, to get it to go slightly quicker. I do like the quietening improvements, etc as I have driven several. I just wish we had REAL competition from American brands.... or the many Chinese brands that are currently better in terms of speed and range and price. But alas, we've "tariffed" them to death so that can't happen. I'll keep waiting to buy a new one until they actually improve the range of the newest performance 3 like they definitely have with the other Model 3 versions.

They charge to full (or % set). Then don't kick charger on till the battery drains down a bit. It's also hotter when charging then cools which will show less charge
how outdated will the model y be with “juniper” coming out. I just got a 2021 model y for 30 grand 34k miles
It’s already outdated with hardware, software wise you should be alright for now
Just took delivery of my SR Model 3 and noticed that the LED ambients arent aligned with the dash and driver side door.
Yoooooo, Elon just gave everybody free FSD Supervised for 1 month. I think ASS is included too.
I don’t think ASS is included unfortunately. But yes free month!
@@Luisslzr7 Yep. Apparently people who had subscribed to FSD sometime in the past got a trial for FSD v12.5 whereas those who didn't (including me) got a trial for FSD v12.3.6.
Charge to 100% once in a while to keep the BMS well balanced.
Are the bucket seats comfortable?
@@mclose7799 yes but not if you’re a big boy. Little tight on the legs over 260 I’d say. I grew up playing hockey with a big ass and legs and it’s tight. Even showing wear on bottom bolsters at 2k miles.
wat about your tire wear for ur performance
Not much to say, still at almost factory tread depth. Am about to swap to my winters though in a couple weeks
Falken makes a tire that replaces the P Zero for a Model 3 Performance and it has done great for me in 10,000 miles in.
Use the ring
I'm in Canada. Just open the app on the phone, it's not a car thing it's your phone putting the app to sleep (probably in your battery saver setting)
I swore to never get asymmetric tires again
I’d wait a year, this model is gonna depreciate so fast. Especially once the Y refresh comes out.
Or when the company decided to lower the price of the newer model year. That will screw up used car owners BIG TIME
I doubt it, the price is already pretty low with the tax credit.
@jremiahjone what kind of paint wrap do you have? i love it
It's Matte PPF (Paint Protection Film) - not a regular wrap but a very durable protection film on the car. The Matte PPF takes whatever color your car is and makes it a Matte version of it. Jeremiah had Stealth Grey so Matte PPF on top of that color made it look like how his car looks now.
@@liam1902 thank you so much! i have a grey tesla as well, is it the tesla ppf or do you know where he got it?
@@Tweaky_y He should have a video on it but I believe he ordered it from a company and then DIY installed it himself. Typically, you could find shops in your area that can do PPF installations and most of them use Xpel PPF. They'll have a Clear PPF or Matte PPF that you can choose from. I have full Clear Xpel PPF on my Black Model Y that a shop installed. Professional PPF installation is pretty pricey though so check around for quotes. After installation, the Xpel PPF is registered with Xpel so you get basic warranty on it in case certain things happen (not wear-and-tear).
Out of spec got 288 at 80 on the highway weird how much difference there is
if they took it to 0 with aeros on then that lines up pretty well with my test
@@JremiahJones I can confirm, they did take it to zero. But it's sad the Long range got almost 100 MILES MORE miles more than the performance on a charge, for $15,000 less
Why do you always sound like your gaming a sleep and bored in every video 😂
The wheels can’t be rotated right?
Correct. Staggered
@@Chris-sm3um ok. How is wheel rotation addressed? Tesla says it’s every 6k miles
Not a fan of that or the lack of stalks and the NOT improved mileage over the 7 year old M3P version
already planning to sell it after a year?
200 miles of range ?
Have it, still hate the turn signals. Dumbest decision ever
230 miles is really bad.. you may have just turned me away.. 280 with the ac or heater is ok but 230 is a solid no
can someone explain this to me.
Diesel generators are only used when very busy. Otherwise they are powered the same way everybody gets power to their home.
@@rootpill lmfao so you mean natural gas, or fossil fuels right? What do you think powers homes? Natural gas, or fossil fuels Your delusional lmfao.
Yeah now that car is Dirt Cheap and your has depreciated like crazy
I dont think he cares
The uberturbines are ugly as hell. The warped wheels are farrr prettier and a lot lighter cause of the forge aspect. I swapped mine out with 19’s squared
I'm So F^^^^^ HORN NAY Right now. wow I'm Outa Control. How This Happen?!?!? MF'in Head Scratcher Ask Me..
Why do you keep talking over yourself? Game me a headache. Good review otherwise
Nice car for sure but man they look absolutely shit
No need to watch, no it’s not worth it
Litterly the beest perfomance for money car ever 😂
Must’ve never drove this car 😂 cause wtf are you on bro

@@trythis2821 you right
We understand you are only concerned about the performance versus the range, and I get it, as it's a performance and for many that's the main concern.
