Today we lost a legend. There is no unit of measure large enough to measure his impact on the musical world. He inspired many people to pick up a guitar, countless budding shredders to rock out, and caused experienced guitarist to question what was possible with an electric guitar. Truly a virtuoso, may he rest in peace. Tonight, I’ll be spinning Van Halen: Van Halen, which includes the track eruption, which totally blew my mind as an impressionable young musician.
