Well, me myself for 1.5 expect it to be pressurized JET to be honest, but if you are a PPL with some cash and you wanna seat in the NEW and MODERN airplane - that’s the way to go, airframe and engine is on warranty - nothing to worry about 👏
I'm not comparing the TBM with the Diamond. That's annother class in any sense. But for 1.5 you can expect more performance. And the Continental 6 cylinder Twin Turbocharged engine is expensive to maintain. The routine maintenance on the Continental is more expensive then BOTH Austro engines on the DA62. Yes, the Diamond has very good Flight Characteristics. But only for this and the good look doesn't justify the unreflected applaus. I'm also flying the DA40 NG privately and I'm a great enthusiast when it comes to Diamond aircraft. In Europe you pay around 1.3 for the DA50 RG and 1.6 for the DA62. Everybody can make his own thoughts about the price difference. If you want to go for this class you better think about buying the DA62.

Good question! Its an oxygen overpressure valve. If you happen to overpressure the bottle when charging - this valve will break and release all oxygen.
Modern liquid cooled engine with turbo and low fuel consumption. Low maintenence. Of course the advantage of jeta1 which means you can practically fly at any airport in the world.

Those wings look very long. They are probably what keep it under 200 knots. Diamond always prioritizes safety over speed. It’s probably a good thing.

TBm Is £5.5m and range is 1400nm, with 5 passengers so do the maths ….. 57g/p vs 10g/h and speed is 1.5x more.
