I am a pilot. I've instructed in 10 different aircraft including the Da20 and Da40...I LOVE... ❤ Diamond aircraft. They are so safe, so easy to fly and my favorite piston aircraft. Looking forward to diamond making turboprops and or jets.
I took my youngest son (16yo) flying but firstly I showed him around our ramp area at the local aerodrome and the only plane he "Wowed" about was a DA40 parked nearby , then we went and started up the C172SP to fly. One day I hope to own a Diamond , they just make sense !
There's no way to solve this problem at the Certified aircrafts. They need to pay millions to certified a model, how it could be cheap? Experimental aircrafts like RV10 are one of the answer for the price problem. You also can buy a old airplane, for the 50s or 60s, it is old but gold, and certified.
When you take the time to solicit broad input in the design, the result is a Diamond. When you hire global expertise for marketing, the result is a beautifully romantic documentary. For those pilot gearheads interested, a quick no-nonsense spec sheet would be a nice addition. Dimensions, powerplant, gear, performance, seating, options... that'l do it.
I'm a proud member of the Diamond family as well - I hope to move up in the Diamond world to a DA42, 62 or even a 50. Keep working hard! DAI - Please stay true to your heritage and be customer centric! You are creating magic!
I love this airplane. It's everything. It looks like It's going 300 MPH when it's standing still. It flies like an eagle. It's a pilots dream. Need I say more? It speaks for itself.
I have flown the 20 and the 40. The time and high costs are involved in certification, which is what drives the skyrocketing costs and prices of aircraft, are insane. That’s why aviation will remain out of reach for most people. Im delighted i have been able to taste flight. I recommend it to everyone.
This is an awesome video for a fantastic plane!!! You are certainly changing the point of view for General aviation!! Thanks for giving me the chance to know that this great SUV is available. Will take a little to have one but certainly will!! Thanks to Lifestyle Aviation for doing so great commercial work of giving all the clues of Diamond family and now DA50 RG
C’mon diamond bring out a turbo prop design that takes the challenge to Pilatus.. no one is even close to the PC12 NGX currently but I know the one company that could would be diamond. Ooo and I finally got my polo #iflydiamond top too, had to order to a my brother in-laws in German and then he brought it over to the U.K. it’s in many of my VLoGs. So comfortable and the material breathes and wicks away any moisture on the body. Just wish the cost to get them here in the U.K. wasn’t so high otherwise I’d have a wardrobe of them. Now just need to take my first diamond flight..
Sure is nice to have money... Very cool airplane. A bit heavy and kinda slow for 300hp, but it is roomy and if I did have the money, give me more room and I'll take an extra 5 minutes getting there gladly. I would buy this over a Cirrus hands down.
GA accidents are statistically PILOT errors....GA pilots must be fixed so that this aircraft's safety designs can be complimented. Loss of Control is pilot error ..... running out of fuel is pilot error .... Non rated pilots in IFR is pilot error. Until GA pilots train like, operate like, make decisions like airline pilots, the aircraft used wont change accident risk statistics. This aircraft appears to be a wonderful design, I hope that we can bring the average pilot's brain up to the same level of safety.
Is the Empanage a carry over from its glider heritage or is it part of what adds to the safety? Aestheticly speaking I prefer the look of the lower horizontal stabilizer and elevator. Also how is Overhaul or replacement cost in comparison to other GA aircraft like the Cirrus, Cessna 172, Piper Cherokees and the like?
what happens when you use full flaps, slow it down to the stall angle and try to control bank angle from 20 degrees to - 20 degrees without using the rudder, and then pull it through stall maintaining pitch attitude. Will the wings hold level attitude, use of power to maintain pitch up but modestly. Can a pilot describe it or better video tape it. what is the yaw rate, no rudder? roll from side to side 20° to - 20°
Great video, except sometimes the "background" music is too loud that makes it different for me to hear the speaker. The DA-50 looks awesome, mean, and reliable. I really like the G-1000 package, too. Being very familiar to the DA-62, I am surprised they did not label this the DA-60.
No need for another rating. Lower insurance cost. Twins require more pilot recency of experience and dedication to stay sharp. Lower maintenance costs. Fewer things to go wrong/fail. A twin engine aircraft is a whole 'nuther level of involvement in every aspect.
Cool...but they can drop the how many "SUV" references? It's not an suv cabin stop exaggerating. It's not even a Smart car cabin. It's a tiny little plane with a tiny cabin....and there's nothing wrong with that. Own it.
Totally a dream.... probably I never gonna own a DA50, but I love to and dream is free.... congrats beautiful piece of flying art!
You could rent one

We spy some familiar faces 👀 Amazing work! Our team is honored to have a part in the story of this incredible new aircraft.
DAI - well done! Was honored to participate.
Great, you solved many problems of the airplanes; at least one is left: hight price.

Dream plane, it looks especially beautiful in the air...

Time to sit back with a coffee and be educated and enthralled!

Excellent video ! As a DA40 owner, I can absolutely agree that diamonds are unbeatable. Looking forward to owning a DA50 sometime in the future.

Beautiful Air craft......
They are obviously setting the pace in GA.
bwahahah that MARVEL intro tho 🔥🔥🔥
Now that is something to dream about while I'm undergoing my private GA license...
Loved the Marvel like intro!!!
If only I was rich, this is definitely what id be flying. Saw one last year, such an incredible aircraft.
What a beautiful, capable airplane! I don't even have my PPL yet, and I'm already daydreaming about owning one some day.
I love the way yo guys bring the story
I love all the lines of the design. Superb!
Work of art 🙂
Very interesting video, love learning about new tech in aircraft. I fly a 1968 C172, someday I hope ti get into a DA 50.
Lead Follow or Get out of the WAY. Nice to see Diamond a leader in Aviation.
I have flown the 20 and the 40.

Great content, really well done. I hope you sell a million of ‘em so I can afford a pre-owned one some day. 😅
These are always so well produced. Well done!

Just Perfect !
I'm flying actually DA40-NG and can thrust that the 50 must be awesome
My dream aircraft.
Beautiful airplane. I love flying the DA40 and will have the opportunity to fly the 50 this summer. Looking forward to flying this 🔥 machine.

I hope Diamond never moves away from the center control stick!
Side-sticks are fantastic. Once I switched to Airbus it took me all of five minutes to never want to fly a Boeing again. Sidesticks!
Beautiful aircraft
Best thanks
I still think they should have parachutes. Every situation isn't landable so another option wouldn't hurt.

The dislikes are from Cirrus... 😂

I was Diamond 40 mechanic apprentice student, but I'm not working with airships anymore.
Epic.....
the 50 got that AMG look to it.... i want it
Thank you 🙏

Das Hotel in Ganderkesee kann man echt empfehlen!
Show de máquina
Max Payload 1210 (without options).
That’s decent enough.
Cars didn't have seatbelts standard until after 1963 or 64. Not that it matters on the video.
Take a drink every time someone compares it to a suv
So the question is: If you can afford to buy and fly a DA 50 RG Why not get the even safer DA 62 Twin?
No need for another rating. Lower insurance cost. Twins require more pilot recency of experience and dedication to stay sharp. Lower maintenance costs. Fewer things to go wrong/fail. A twin engine aircraft is a whole 'nuther level of involvement in every aspect.
22:11 who has "cleaned" the window? :D
Hoping to get a call back from Jamie Steele!
Love it but it’s not affordable
I've built a lot of hours flying Diamonds
How mach the airplane?
I prefer Gemini, especially DA 62
I still like the Da-62 better, 2 engines are better than one.
Mini Pilatus?
0.44 Bücker Jungman
Microsoft flight sim soon?
Why not put a turbo prop on the da50? Is it the noise?
I would never buy a plane today unless the engine was FADEC

But it has space for days! What do you mean?!
