F the government of the U.S. time people take a stand and change this corrupt system in place.
We need to change the term "Self Custodial" to something else. All we hold are keys! If on a fully public blockchain - there is no "custody" and there is no transmitting...Just inteaction with a chain or multiple chains via API from a website. Legal system, and the loudest in Congress cherry pick concepts that aren't applicable because they're not fully up to speed.
If a digital wallet provider is a money transmitter then a company that manufactures physical wallets for holding paper bills is also a money transmitter. And, by the same logic, a pants company that makes pants with pockets is also a money transmitter.
It's ridiculous. Does the sec do anything to protect regular people?

Ok so now the cables connected to my router are also money transmiters and every time I use my bank to do a wire transfer the money moves via the cables, so the company that makes the cables need a license. They are not a bank but they helped the bank execute the operation therefore, license. 😂
