Never played an AC game, but I was beyond hyped when I saw the trailers. My first year of college kept me busy, but I came home for a 4 day break and in that time I installed AC 6 and played it through 2 & 1/2 times through and finished my final play through and 100% the game by the end of the week. Ever since then I’ve started emulating the older games and listening to its music on repeat (FreQuency is my 4th most listened to artist lol).
Honestly, I think this game is actually harder than Elden Ring and most of From's other games, mainly because it's almost completely based on skill and tactics at the end of the day. If I get stuck on a boss in Elden Ring or Dark Souls I can just go level up a lot and maybe upgrade my weapon: It can be tedious but my character can always simply get more powerful to compensate for my lack of skill and aging reflexes. If I get stuck on a boss in AC6, for the most part I can't really make my mech any stronger than it already is. (Especially not after buying all available AC parts and doing all available arena challenges and then spending all my chips on a hyper-specific build to further make up for my shortcomings.) Aside from experimenting with different weapons it's _actually_ just "git gud."
Been playing armored core since AC2. While AC6 is a great game, it is missing alot that the older games did better. What AC6 lacks in content, it makes up for with quality of life mechanics that the old games do not have. I have been playing AC6 every day since launch and i dont feel bored of it what so ever. Glad you and so many more newer players are finding Armored Core which will help keep this franchise alive!
This was the first game, in a LOOOOONG time, that made me actually FEEL conflicted with the decisions I had to make. That in and of itself is worth mentioning, nevermind the absolute awesomeness that is gameplay.
@gimmedecash well there were some that were impossible yto get in the UK so those I have missed out on. But all major releases I have played and COMPLETED (armoured core 2 another age was spiteful in its difficulties) I didn't like V as the small tank type mechs were a bit mid... But But ARMOURED CORE 4: FOR ANSWER man that was fast and RAD as heck.
@ always loved the music to armored core personally armored core 3 has my favorite tracks on it to this day Artificial Sky I through IV… I even made a lil highlight reel of my motorcycle with one the tracks 😅
Bought it on sale early 2024 after torturing myself with reviews. Even though I got all achievements and missions done I keep coming back just to mess around with builds or pvp. An amazing game, excellent first PC release of AC as well!
FYI, you should play through the game 3 times if you wanna see everything it has to offer. NG+ lets you take all the optional missions and get the ending you didn't take in the first playthrough. NG++ actually has some unique missions and is the only way to get the "true" ending. It might sound tedious to retread old ground, but it can be pretty fun if you use it as an opportunity to experiment with different builds, and it wont take as long as you think because every mission can be blasted through really quickly when you know what to expect.
@@THELASTMASTA man whenever someone says "true ending" you know I have to see it too haha, the curse of being a casual gamer is not replaying games too much but maybe I gotta make an exception 👀

great video. pretty much a no frill summary of the game but still hyping it up👍 and i felt the same way about pvp until trying it out. give it a -shot- once you’ve finished all endings and collected every part. it’s REALLY FUN. sure you’ll run into try hards BUT i think that’s actually one of the best things about the game. you’ll learn and develop ways to counter and outplay them. and THAT is when the game will really start to sink its teeth in. lol

Armored Core is such a unique series and it's wonderful to see new people discovering it. AC6 is a great adaptation of what the series has offered up till now
Iv played almost all the souls games religiously, but I’ve never really cared for PvP. With that being said, Iv played more PvP in AC6 than all the souls games combined. Where the grounded human fights always felt finicky and awkward, the mecha dogfights feel a whole lot smoother. I was genuinely surprised with how much I liked the PvP of ac6, as someone who would play souls and ER in offline mode lol. The PvP takes some getting used to, but once you do it hits a spot that the story can’t possibly prepare you for. It’s truly a worthy fighting game on its own (if you don’t use double shotguns or Elden ring laser lobster tanks iykyk).
@@real_macr0113 nice! I do hear a lot of talk about "PvP is only fun if you meta" so that's why I haven't really gotten into it... But is everyone running meta builds only?
@@gimmedecash Not everyone is spamming meta builds. Up to a certain rank, the game encourages experimentation and executable strategy over raw firepower. But what’s strong in PvP is completely oppressive, and the next best option is… just okay. You can get to A rank with suboptimal builds if ur a good player. Sadly S rank can feel like rock paper scissors with solved meta builds copy pasted from the internet.
What would make this perfect is if they implemented a PvEvP mode, or at least a PvE mode for those of us who just want to play and not have to wait to get spanked by someone who's about that SS rank life. No disrespect. May each Raven fly as high as they can. But some of us might wanna just enjoy an objective, other than "don't get punished" 😂😂❤

We've had 2 ranked resets with basically 0 updates this year
man absolutely loved this game i am an OG armored core player and i do appreciate the modern day AC. BUT.... huge butt, pause no diddy, I wish they would make an even more modern version of AC. Like imagine a live service open world where you're an augmented human working as a mercenary for hire and your "ghost" is like the voice inside your augmented head lol and as you level up your character you get lil perks when you pilot your mech then you have different corporations that are constantly competing and fighting each other and people can invade your missions similar to elden ring and also have co-op and pvp

love it! (I just downloaded a emulator too and got last raven due to this comment section)
@@RelativelyBest ain't that the truth
@@SeraphimDragon 100% agree on this, I've noticed the exact same thing playing the game.

Bought it on sale early 2024 after torturing myself with reviews. Even though I got all achievements and missions done I keep coming back just to mess around with builds or pvp. An amazing game, excellent first PC release of AC as well!
WE NEED AC7 OR EXPANSION DLC. :(
FYI, you should play through the game 3 times if you wanna see everything it has to offer.
@gimmedecash trust me, the NG++ ending is worth the effort, both for story reasons and it's the craziest boss battle in the game.
Armored Core 6 is easily the greatest modern From Software release by a long mile. I hope people that only know FromSoft for Souls games give it a shot...
and hopefully we get an expansion release soon
Wish they would do a armored core collection for new players to the franchise armored core 6 is all I got on my ps5

AC6 PvP: Mixed.

So glad you're loving the game though.
I love ac6. But the pvp is some of the most toxic, unbalanced messes I've ever played, but despite the horrible balancing, a netcode worse than apex legends, and a stagger system that shouldnt exist, theres 1 out of 30 something fights, that are so unbelieveably peak, it makes the game almost worth it.
and i chase that 1/30 fight, the fights that puts me in the zone where im completely immersed.
absolute peak
No one talks about this game bc the parent company is being bought out, the parent company is completely uninvolved in external media, the game has had the same stale Shotgun/Keep Away meta since day 1, servers are dead, and the current patch is stale af. yeah the pvp isn’t the best but think of it more as side content, the main course is still the single player
man absolutely loved this game i am an OG armored core player and i do appreciate the modern day AC. BUT.... huge butt, pause no diddy, I wish they would make an even more modern version of AC.

But they also said it was a soft launch for AC so I’m hoping for a new and improved one
I too am an og armored core fan who grew up playing the og armored core. And yeah I was shocked how the game play on this one was good for being really dumbed down from the 90s and fairly 2000s armored core games. And the story was very interesting and good.
