Loved the tutorial! Thank you! And YES PLEASE do the apron tutorial. I have a feeling you have something very special that would not be too hard to do.
Brand new to the sewing world here! Just got my sewing machine for Christmas and tea towels are #1 on my list to start learning! Thank you SO much for making this tutorial easy to follow and full of great details! Also LOVE the patterns! 🤍🌿
Thank you for the easy how to! I made some really cute ones, even embroidered one! Will say, I used linen for the ruffle…persnickety stuff! My thread broke twice, learning curve! Hehehe
Just discovered your lovely channel! I am teaching myself how to sew and love to start with kitchen projects. Oh yes yes apron please! Placemats and table cloths would beso nice!!!🧵🪡📍❤️
That pattern is called the Wild Flower pin cushion pattern by Anna Maria Horner. It’s been many years, but it was a free pattern then and I’m sure it’s still out there!
Okay, I have a couple of questions. I have fallen in love with the idea of making my own tea towels, but I’m wondering- 1. Should I specifically pick darker fabric so they will be less likely to show stains? 2. Are these more for show rather than function? (Like the holiday ones you see that are pretty but nobody can actually use them) Thanks for the informative video! I love the fabrics you chose here. I will be headed to hobby lobby tomorrow 😂😂😂
Love your channel. I don't have a mat but I do have Dritz 890 Superboard Durable Kraft Board that is to big but hubby can cut to the size of my Sullivans Home Hobby Table 36” L x 59” W x 35” H. Would this craft board be fine with my AUTOTOOLHOME 45mm Rotary Cutter?
Love it. I've always had one layer tea towels, I look forward to making these. Did you prewash the fabrics since they are different fabric compositions? And Yes. Please share apron pattern. I'm looking for a two sided one. Thanks. Betty in Texas
Yes, washing them does make them more absorbent over time! I’ve never sewn dish rags, but I have knitted them and they are the best. It’s a great project to learn to knit!
Thank you for the tea towel tutorial. I have some beautiful linen I bought on sale and have been waiting to find a use for it. I think I will make the tea towels. It looks like you prewashed the linen … did you have to iron it before making the tea towels? Linen wrinkles unless you iron … do you have to iron the tea towels after each wash?
Loved the tutorial! Thank you! And YES PLEASE do the apron tutorial. I have a feeling you have something very special that would not be too hard to do.

I’m not sure, is it a self healing mat?
I looove this tutorial. Beautiful. Where did you get the green leaves fabric?
It’s from Hobby Lobby!
Love this! Wondering if you could use terry or microfiber for the back to make a cute dog towel for wiping paws?
Sure you could!
Love it. I've always had one layer tea towels, I look forward to making these. Did you prewash the fabrics since they are different fabric compositions? And Yes. Please share apron pattern. I'm looking for a two sided one. Thanks. Betty in Texas
Yes, I prewashed! I always forget to say it, but I always do :)
What type cotton do you use for dishcloths? Would washing the towel a few times make it more absorbent?
Yes, washing them does make them more absorbent over time! I’ve never sewn dish rags, but I have knitted them and they are the best. It’s a great project to learn to knit!
@@PinCutSew I have made crocheted cotton yarn dish cloths.
Thank you for sharing your video.. the material you are sewing with. Is that just cotton material on both sides? Thanks
Hi, yes, it's cotton & cotton
Great tutorial! Tfs
Cute ideas.
Yes, I do prewash and iron! I do not iron them after each wash, I’m just ok with them being slightly wrinkled.
Like to see the apron..
I'd love to see the apron!! Is the cotton just cotton, or is it a knit or something special?
For the apron, I use cotton, canvas, linen, or duck cloth.
Is it just a normal cotton? Does it need to be a certain weight?
Yes, normal quilting cotton or linen.
Sew cute❤
If I were to use quilting cotton on both sides, would it be absorbent enough to dry dishes? (Be gentle... I'm new to this type of sewing).
Yes it would! That’s what my sister did in the original ones I love so much :)
@@PinCutSew thank you!!!
I’d love a half apron double sided with pockets tutorial/pattern.
Ooh, I like that idea, I’ll work on it :)
@@PinCutSew Thank you!!!
clear medical tape does as good as the grippers. Its what I use
What is the name of chalk marker you use?
It’s called a Chacoliner 👍🏻
Are you using just 100 %cotton or special material
I’m using cotton and linen. Definitely use natural fibers for this 👍🏻
