    Loved this video. Got to see places where I haven't been before. The Parthenon was amazing, especially the 2nd floor. The countryside outside Franklin was very nice. Thanks for sharing.

    Have to go back and stay around Nashville instead of driving through. Thanks for the tips.The Parthenon was impressive. Really enjoyed your hiking trips. They work off all those good Southern vittles! Glad you're back.

      Happy New Year to you also! Hope all is well with you so far in 2024. It was a fun trip - one of our busiest and it was nice to spend a quiet Thanksgiving in the camper (first time doing that!). Hope you have a great year - thanks for watching as always!!

    It’s been a while since we’ve been to Nashville. Elm Hill campground must have been nice if you kept extending. I take it you split on the Hall of Fame Day cause Desi couldn’t go. Looks like they have a lot to do and lots of good food. Gotta love a good winery and brewery that have outdoor seating making them dog friendly. Desi sure had a spring in his step at the Parthenon. WOW! That is an amazing surprise in the second floor. Looks like a movie set. Franklin looks like a quaint little town. We will have to head back. Think we’d enjoy going out of the city as much as in the city. The scenery is gorgeous. Another day he had a spring in his step to get to the house. The falls were definitely not affected much by all the rain. Bavarian Meat Sticks. 😂😂 Be safe guys, Bill and DeAnna

      Troy actually did the Hall of Fame - I saved it for next time. Desi struggled this trip so he and I did a day at the camper :) It was a fun trip. Looking forward to seeing some of your adventures soon!

    Great video guys! Been to Nashville several times and it’s always a lot of fun! But you always manage to show us some new things to do! Love driving the Trace too. Such a beautiful stretch of highway. Drove part of it after we passed thru your area in 2022. A highlight for us was the burial place of Meriwether Lewis. Until visiting there we weren’t aware of the mystery surrounding his death or that he was buried there. Great travel vlog!

      Hi Lee! Thanks! We would love to go back and drive the Trace in the fall - can imagine it is absolutely stunning. And will have to put that stop on our "next time" list! Hope you guys are doing well. What camping is in store for 2024?

      @@WinesPinesandCanines hi guys! Sorry for the delay. We’ve actually been planning a trip for late summer. Cindy wants to do the UP in Michigan. So we’ll go up to Wyoming and South Dakota and see Wall Drug, the Badlands, Ingalls Homestead, across Wisconsin to the UP. See Pictured Rocks, Shipwreck museum, Mackinaw Island. Then down the LP and around to Iowa to John Wayne’s boyhood home and the bridges of Madison County. Along the way we’ll see 3 presidential libraries and museums and swing thru Kansas and visit some family. Never told you I was a Kansas farm boy huh? ☺️ Gonna be gone about a month again. We might do something sooner and closer before then. Can’t sit around the house all the time!

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  9 месяцев назад

      Wow! Sounds like a great trip. Loved the Badlands - been twice. Thinking the UP may be on our list. All depends on Desi but we have been talking about that and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Will see where the spring takes us lol.
      Two fun things we have seen that are on our list - Black River Scenic Byway in Itonwood, Mi and on a different note - a huge RV part surplus warehouse called Bontragers 😂 . Never know what fun things you can find!
      Will be excited to hear how the trip goes!

    Great video. We don’t live to far from Nashville. We frequently camp at all the COE campgrounds in Tn.

    Since you are near Mt. Juliet, there is a train you can ride that takes you into Nashville. You don't have to park and it runs until late in the evening, also allowing adult drinking. Our daughter lives in Old Hickory. Check out the Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's birthplace. The third Saturday in June is the RC Cola and Moon Pie festival in nearby Bell Buckle, TN. Anytime of the year is a great time to visit the Gaylord's Opryland Hotel, but fall and Christmas are especially spectacularly decorated. Love your videos!

      Hi Laurie - thank you for watching! Those are great tips and making note for next time! The train would be a nice way to avoid that Nashville traffic haha. We went up to the Opryland Hotel but being at the holidays - traffic was crazy long to turn in! With Desi likely not welcome lol, we decided to save until next time.

    The Hermitage is nice. The grounds are very dog friendly. Just can’t take them in the house.
