      It is a nice layout with the walk around bed and bigger bath! We think Forest River does a good job of having 4 different layouts in these 20ft campers that will fit most people's needs. Hopefully you are getting to use yours this summer to do some awesome camping! Thanks for the watch - appreciate!

    Thanks for another great video. Lots of information! I must say the bed in the 20FBS would be a deal breaker for me. We like our king sized bed even if we have to crawl up from the bottom but we find it the most comfortable place to watch tv at night. Plus what wasn't mentioned was that the door is right there near the bed making it difficult for one person to slip out in the morning without waking the other. We made drawers under our sofa for storage so the new table would hinder that. The larger bathroom is a plus but the kitchen is a minus. I guess each couple has to decide what is most important.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you - appreciate that! Yes - we do like being able to do that king mod and that full would probably be the deal breaker for us. But it is good that Forest River did create the 20FBS for people wanting a walk around. And that is a good point on the door! And drawers - nice! Did you attach them to the panel or take it out all together?

    Hi guys! Thanks for the review and the compare and contrast. You know we love our G19FBS. It’s perfect for the 2 of us and the mods we’ve made have greatly improved storage. It’s only weakness, in our humble opinion, is the bathroom. But it’s also the area we spend the least amount of time in so it’s not a big deal. We would not be happy stepping down to a mini full size bed from our full size queen. And the loss of all that interior storage is a nonstarter too. Would love to have more battery and solar and the bigger inverter. Those are awesome. But I can upgrade all that stuff on the rig we have. I don’t see us upgrading any time soon and if we do we might look at a mini C or a B. But for now, what we have works great for us. Looking forward to the new vlogs you’ve got comin! Travel safe!

    Great video! So much insight! That picture montage made me so jealous! We might have made a different decision if we had seen these differences sooner. Truth be told our layout (19FDS) was to cumbersome for us. The Murphy bed was great for saving space, but such a hassle every morning and night. We ordered a 2205s. Similar layout to the FBS, just closer to what will work better for us. So nice to see Desi! Stay well!

      Hi! Thank you :) Yes - that was our concern initially with the murphy bed. We had a class c and had to make up the beds every night/day. While it doesn't take alot of time- still a hassle! We love the 2205s. That is the one we have looked at as the next camper if we ever go bigger! And as it is so similar to the FBS, we feel it will make doing some mods a bit easier haha. Hey guys! Great video! We have the 2023 20FBS. We still prefer our model. Love the bigger bathroom. The 2024 is nice, but the only upgrade I liked was the new storage compartment handles. The fix for a lack of counter space is a large bamboo cutting board that covers the entire stove. I prefer to cook outdoors mostly. Keep up the great work.

We did like those handles - and the new inverter option (would be nice to use our Keurig when boondocking!). Good tip on the cutting board and we also prefer to cook outside. Main reason we removed the stove completely. Have a great camping season!

    Trying to do the arm mod and pulled 2 screws off but it seems like its glued on now as well? or screwed in from the back? on a 2024 20FBS. Also that bottom cabinet in bathroom has a panel just to hide the water pump that only goes up halfway. Going to cut that down to stick toilet paper holder inside that door and maybe basket shelf.

    Great comparison! I have been shopping since last fall and had settled on the 20FBS but recently am leaning towards the 19FBS. As was mentioned, the bathroom is smaller but we don't spend much time in there :) The lack of storage in the 20FBS was worrying. Another comment mentions the door near the bed and I wouldn't like that either. You can convert the 20FBS full bed into a queen but I think the east/west bed on the 19FBS would be workable with a beddy. No camper is going to tick all our boxes, but your videos make the decision much easier...Thanks!!

      @WinesPinesandCanines Hi there!! That is great to hear! We just pulled in from a trip to the Palm Springs/Joshua Tree National Park area! My wife gets a hip replacement in a few days. So....nothing on the schedule currently. We will need her to have a full recovery before she can get up in the camper. But...no doubt, my dog and I will head out to our property in Paradox , CO; which is just east of the La Sal Mountains which are just east of Moab. I like to take the trailer out there for a week and use it as a base camp to explore and hike the greater area.
      So...we will be waiting for her recovery before making any bigger plans.

      @WinesPinesandCanines Thank you so much!! Fortunately, it seems like 99% are much better off. But, it is easy to get focused on the 1%. We are in our mid 50s, so a loss of mobility is no bueno, at this point. We are actually considering possibly moving in a year or two up to Fruita/Grand Junction/Palisade Colorado area. We would love the Palisade area because of all of the wineries. But...house availability can be slim there.
      Ha..yes....the altitudes are not too low here. I had to look it up; about 3300 feet is the lowest elevation; it's out on the Kansas border, of course.
      I am actually trying to ID several sites out in the eastern part of the state and making a plan for a camping trip to that area. I would need to do it in the winter or spring since my dog is a black-ish long hair german shepherd. Too hot in the summer! I have mentioned planning something like this to my friends and I usually get the "what the heck would you want to do something like that for". Well, there are things out there to see! And, one has to bring a good imagination with.

    We have the 2023 20FBS. We removed that sofa arm too. If it wasn't for the cup holder we'd remove the other one too because it's not particularly useful as an arm rest at all. might do that anyway. More for show and cup holding. Having leg rests would have been better and we almost bought one with more counter space and proper recliners that become a bed but the bathroom was soooo cramped. Had to an inch or two max between the toilet and wall and ending right by the shower. Again very close. That as the deal breaker for that one. Would be nice to have windows next to the sofa too. Also next to the bed, the "boxes" could have had some storage and a lift top as some have done. A slide on counter on the side would be a good addition. We do like the long table so we can play on our computers too, but we don't store it behind the sofa. We store toilet paper and emergency blankets.

      Would be helpful if Forest River just put the sofa arm on the quick disconnect bracket! Those tight bathrooms definitely a downside. We do love our 19fbs but a bit more room in there would be nice. Yes - have always wondered why no windows on the slide outs. And there is definitely alot of storage room behind the sofa! It is on the list of mods we would like to do - make it a bit easier for organization. Right now, random stuff gets stuffed behind there lol. Hopefully you have some great trips planned this year!

    We brought our 2024 20FBS home in mid Dec. It's been sitting in the driveway but has been too cold to really do much to it. I did make the couch armrest removable so that there was access to the bathroom with the slide in. As far as the new stabilizers go....the jury is still out on them. When parked on my slightly sloping driveway, the rear stabilizers don't extend far enough to be in the recommended position (ie. they are too long). I've heard other people say the same thing. I like them but it doesn't seem like they were implemented correctly. A shorter version would probably be better.

Curious to see how they work once you get to finally take them out for a test. Thanks for watching!
