  • We are taking an RV cross country road trip adventure for the first time.
    On this leg we spent 3 days in Nashville and had a blast! .
    We stayed a the 7 Point COE Campground outside of town and while it was a little far it was a beautiful campground on the lake and very relaxing.
    I have to say I was not expecting to like Nashville so much, but there is so much to do, the people are very friendly and it felt safe for such a party atmosphere.
    In 3 days we:
    Photographed Nashville's Murals
    Shopped
    Ate at Hattie B's
    Visited the Country Music Hall of Fame
    Walked around Broadway and the Honk Tonks
    Went to the Grand Ole Opry
    Took a trip to Jack Daniels Distillery (One of my favorite things we have done)
    Saw the Parthenon (Weird)
    I would come back to Nashville in a heartbeat and I really hope we do soon!

    Great vlog! Thanks for not centering it around Broadway lol I feel like people forget, especially tourists, that there is so much more to Nashville than Broadway, bars, and partying.

      Thank you. I loved broadway but there is definitely so much more to see. We have a list of things we missed the first time and can’t wait to go back and see more.

    Hi! I know I'm very late to your video, but I wanted to give you some info about the Parthenon in Centennial Park. It was, along with other celebratory buildings, built for the celebration of our Centennial Celebration in 1897. It is the only building that was left standing because the city decided to use it as a museum. The Athena statue within the large center hall has only been there since 1990 & her gilding & painting was finished in 2002. Originally, she was white & looked a bit like she had been carved from marble. The large doors that were blocked used to open, I opened them myself as a teenager in the 80s lol. Now you enter from descending steps that take you below the actual building where there are a variety of beautiful works of art on display. And you have to pay to enter now. When I was in high school, the Parthenon exhibited art by many local artists from high schools around the area and I was lucky enough to have had one of my pieces exhibited. My apologies for writing a novel, lol. I do hope you & anyone else that reads this will enjoy finding out a bit more about the Parthenon. Oh....I believe the dragon sculpture & the others that are in a similar style were created by a local artist. I can't currently think of his name. Thank you for such a nice video on your visit & I do hope you get the chance to visit again!

      Thank you for sharing so much information. I love leaning about the places we go and I didn’t have time to research as much as I would have like to when we went to Nashville, so I really appreciate all your knowledge on the Parthenon and those fun benches. We are definitely going to visit again, I loved Nashville and tell everyone I meet how great the city as well as the state of Tennessee is.

      In the 1890’s Nashville was so considered a centre of advanced learning and culture that it was called “the Athens of the South”. As a result the centenary celebrations were based on an ancient Athenian theme.

    Great upload. Watching this video gave me so many memories. We just got back from our west coast trip which included Tennessee. I wish I was back. We didn’t have much of a plan to see all but now I wish I did. I’m getting ideas from your video of places to visit. The food looked amazing and the desserts were mouth watering. Great upload. I can’t wait to go back. Chattanooga is a nice town too.

    Twice now my wife and I have visited Nashville from New Zealand. We have a third trip planned for May 2024 and another visit in October 2025 for the Opry’s centenary.
    Two other places you may have found interesting.
    Fort Neagly on Nashville’s southern ridge will give a much different understanding of the events of the Civil War, and Andrew Jackson’s Hermatige is a time capsule of America’s 7th President.
    Both are worth a visit.

    Too bad you didn't go inside the Pathenon. There is an art museum and an exhibit that talks about the world's fair that was hosted at Centennial Park. It also has a great/beautiful surprise upstairs.

    Hi From Ireland. I really enjoyed this video on Nashville and found it very informative. I hope to visit Nashville next year. Just out of curiosity, where did you buy the tickets to The Grand Ole Opry Radio Show? We hope to spend two full days in Nashville and we, also, hope to visit The Jack Daniels Distillery. Thank you for sharing your videos and keep up the Great Work....

    • @scheduledadventures
      @scheduledadventures  Год назад

      How exciting! You can get the Grand Ole Opry tickets from their website, www.opry.com/calendar and when you buy them you usually have no idea who will be performing until the day of the show, but I think it doesn't matter who performs it will be a great show. If you spend two full days in Nashville I think you could see the museums in the city and the Grand Ole Opry one day and then the Jack Daniels Distillery and the honky tonks on Broadway the other day. It is a long drive to Jack Daniels but even as a non whiskey drinker it was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you for all the kind words and I really hope you enjoy your trip when you come and visit.

    Going to Nashville for 3 days at the end of July from McAllen,Texas I’m going to be flying in and out of BNA I get there on a Thursday afternoon July 27th and return early morning July 30th so I guess an example could be day 1 explore city and maybe go back and chill a bit in the hotel maybe take showers and head to Bluebird Cafe if we get in and then day 2 explore city again gran ol opry can be either of those 3 days and then night 2 between 4:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. head to Nissan Stadium to make it on time for George Strait , Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town on July 28th at 5:45 p.m. and day 3 of 3 more exploring and museums. We shall see

    Hi, thank you for the video. Question - did u have to pay for the mural tour? Do you have to spend all whole day at honky tonk or just for a night? And so rental car is a must to visit nashville? Thank you

    • @scheduledadventures
      @scheduledadventures  11 месяцев назад

      We went in May, but in 2021 right when things were opening back up from Covid so it might have been quieter because of that. It wasn’t overwhelming with people and it felt pretty safe when we were there.
      I definitely would recommend renting a car if you want to go out and explore, things are pretty spread out. The murals we visited on our own, I found a website that listed them and added them to my google maps and visited them along with anything else in that same area. This website has a list of them www.visitmusiccity.com/trip-ideas/nashville-murals
      I hope you have a great trip when you visit.
