"I do not remember much of the 70s but it was easer to be 20 in the 70s then it is to be 70 in the 20s". Quote from Joe Walsh. I feel the same way at 69 this year.

lol cracks me up how every generation always swears their generation had the 'best' or most 'real' music. Eagles and Joe Walsh are great, as was Melvins, Nirvana and Soundgarden, the Strokes and the Walkmen, Grizzly Bear, Black Keys and IDLES. There's tons of great rock, punk and post punk these days, but if you don't care to search out new and great music then it's understandable why you'd think rock music died 50 years ago. Don't be so closed minded :)

My dad raised me on this musical genre- as being a kid born in the 70s early 70s. My dad was so into this kind of music. We were introduced to at a young age to bands such as Pink Floyd rush, the Eagles, Led Zeppelin, steely Dan, the doors. I still have some of his 8 tracks to this day. he was so open to new kinds of music - music that I really loved too the alternative scene, grunge, dark wave, new wave. He was willing to listen to it and learn from it and really supportive of my musical interests as well. He passed away a few years ago and these songs remind me of him so much . Never learned to play the guitar but I gave it a good day or two. I can't imagine the power he feels by playing so well.

The same power anybody feels after being able to do anything really well. Pick something to get good at, then get good at it, and never do it for free.

Even those of us who have played guitar for years have no idea. His skill is the tip of the iceberg. The quality/power/wattage/volume of the guitar and amps, all in front of thousands of people singing/dancing along to your song, is something few people in the world have experienced. Knowing Joe, he was zooted out of his gourd on top of it. I bet it's a wonderful feeling!

Joe is fantastic, last time I saw him was 2016 In Lancaster, PA. First time was at "The concert for Peace"
at Shea Stadium, August of 1970 or maybe in Flushing Meadow opening for Edgar Winter (He was in "The James gang" then)
It's really hard to remember back to 1970. I turned 19 that year- I wish I could turn 19 again, it was a lot of fun.
